  1. I have had some success with silene capensis using the following method as taken from the SAB website :

"Add 1g of the the powder to a 750ml or larger bottle filled quarter full with water. This is then shaken vigorously for few minutes and the froth is removed by squeezing the bottle. The remainder is put into the fridge for the next day, when the bottle is once again shaken and the froth removed for consumption. After a few days the material will no longer froth and a further 1g is added to the same bottle or a fresh bottle is started. Effects have been achieved by consuming the equivalent of 200mg of powder per day for several days. Significant dream states are supposed to occur after the third consecutive day of ingestion and can be maintained for a few more days by continuing consumption"

I personally had no results until 7 days continuous use (twice a day - morning and night) and the effects continued for a week after I ceased dosing approx 5 days later. Dreams were more lucid and recall was greatly improved. I was very pleased with the result. Root powder was sourced from SAB.

  2. Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy - Benjamin Franklin

You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you cant pick your friends nose - Kenny Everett (I think)

  3. Just a heads up to inform ya's that the hotmail account has had a block placed on it preventing mail being forwarded. You can still download the pdf's by clickin on em tho. (Oh, and thanks for the book Teo!)

  4. Taubmans make a product called Armawall Armashield which is a weatherproof "latex" type paint (advertised for use on masonry but recommended to me by a painter for tin). Go's on real thick and both seals and insulates. Used it on my shed roof and it dropped the temp inside by nearly 10 degrees on a hot day and plugged up the many small leaks at the same time. If you hunt around you can get a corrugated paint roller which makes it a breeze to apply onto corrugated tin as well. From memory I think the paint comes in 15L bucket and is not cheap but it worked great for me!. Distributed by Bristol I believe.

  5. Got my copy today. Very impressive work at 1st glance. Lots of detailed data about aussie as well as the "mainstream" international ethno flora (and some fauna as well).

For those who think the price is a bit rich consider the manufacturing ethics involved: (quoted from trouts webpage and front of book)

"The book is partly illustrated in black & white, 510 pages, hardcover (22cm x 30.7cm x 4.1cm). Printed on sturdy Envirocare 100% Recycled post-consumer fibre (chlorine-free), using vegetable oil-based inks, benign press chemicals and 100% solar power in pre-press and print production. The manufacture was carbon-neutral. "

    That can't come cheap!
