  1. I read that the best way to ingest yohimbe is to soak in a strong alcohol for eight hours. (Which puts the yohimbine in suspension). Then dry the soln. out on a baking sheet, carefully. (Converting it to yohimbine HCL). Once it is fully dried scrape the powder of the baking sheet and you have yohimbine HCL, which is more soluble and faster acting. To use you place the powder under the tounge. I don't know the dosage off hand.

Note: 1oz. of yohimbe powder should produce 1gm of yohimbine HCL. (I think)

  3. Siebert's "Emerald Essence"????

What is this? I havn't come accross this before. As I said my internet search hasn't come up with much.

What solvent would you recomend? Acetone?

How safe would it be to put the extract on a leaf and smoke it? Safe doses??

  4. Thank you for clearing that up for me Wira, I had found that a little far fetched but hadn't studied far enough into splendens or the other sages to be sure.

You mention that some belive that most (if not all) sages are active, what about White Sage (Salvia apiana)? Or Black Sage? Has anybody tried them?

  6. I have been researching Salvorin extraction and safe use of pure substance but seem to be hitting a brick wall wherever I turn. I know that it requires a strong solvent (acetone?) to free it but in what type of extraction? Soxhlett?? What else would come with it???

  7. While researching Salvia splendens I came across a few sites that considered Salvia farinacea a hybrid of Salvia splendens. But I haven't been able to compare for myself. They could be totally off base.

  9. Recipes (contd'):

    Another recipe, considered very potent,

consists only of dried and ground human

remains. Shows the power of Voodoo, (or

    suggestion).

A recipe from the same person as before contains:

    Centipedes (Spirobolida, Polydesmida),

    Tarantulas (Theraphosidae),

    Lizards including:

    "miti verde" (Anolis Coelestinus),

    "mabouya" (Epicrates striatus).

    tree frogs (Osteopilus dominicencis):

The white toad and brown toad.

    2 Puffer fish:

    (Diodon holacanthus),

    (Sphoeroides testudineus).

    Another preparation:

    The Marine Toad (Bufo marinus),

    a snake (???),

    20 g. ground centipedes,

    2 whole tarantulas,

    30 seeds Tcha-tcha (Albizia lebbeck),

    40 seeds Consigne (Trichilia hirta),

    4 handfulls dried leaves of:

    Pomme Cajou (Anacardium occidentale),

    Bresillet (Comocladia glabra).

Unknown amount of 2 unknown plants.

Unknown amounts of 4 other plants:

    Maman guepes (Urera baccifera),

    Mashasha (Dalechampia scandens),

    Calmador (Dieffenbachia sequine),

    Bwa Pine (Zanthoxylum martinicense).

More animals added at the end:

    2 species tarantula,

    a white frog (Osteopilus dominicencis),

    marine toad (Bufo marinus),

and four species of puffer fish:

    (Sphoeroides testudineus, S. splengeri,

    Diodon holacanthus, D. hystrix)

After the zombie is dug up (After above poison) he is fed a paste of:

    Sweet potato,

    Cane syrup,

    "Concombre zombi" (Datura stramonium).

That is the end of the poison recipes.

The book also has info on the antidote.

  10. I found the recipies for the zombie powder, but unfortunately they are in a book and if I posted the full recipies I believe I would be violating the copyright laws. Sorry.

I will, however, provide a list of ingredients for the recipies (though it may take awhile) and the title of the book.

One of the recipies only consists of the skins of the crapaud blanc-the White Toad (Osteopilus dominicensis)

Another recipie (much more elaborate) calls for 3 or 4 small pufferfish (only two are named,

    The sea toad (Sphoeroides testudineus,

    Sphoeroides splengeri) and

the fufu fish (Diodon hystrix, Diodon

    holacanthus)). The recipie also has

    a polychaete worm (Hermodice carunculata).

    Bufo toad (Bufo marinus).

    several lizards

    (Ameiva chrysolaema) &

    (Leiocephalus schreibersi)

    local tarantulas

    (Theraphosidae)

    the herbs

    (Albizia lebbeck)

    itching pea (Mucuna pruriens)

final ingredient, the crushed and ground remains of a human cadaver (the fresher the better).

More to come. (There are quite a few recipes)

The name of the book is

"Passage of Darkness: the Ethnobiology of

    the Haitian Zombie"

    Author: Wade Davis

Publisher: The University of North Carolina

    Press, Chapel Hill & London

    ISBN #: 0-8078-1776-7

  11. An interesting tidbit, don't know if your interested but... Cane Toad (Bufo marinus) I have found as an ingredient in numerous recipes for "zombie powder" from Haitian Voodoo. In one of the recipies the toad is sealed in a large jar with a certain venomous snake (I forget what kind) and burried for a day. When they dig it up the jar has quite a bit of the toads toxin in it, and probably a little snake venom, and the animals are dead (obviously). I belive they use the remains and the toxin from the jar. If anyone is interested I could try to dig up the recipies.

  12. Hi,

I am growing Castor beans and I noticed something at the base of the leaves. There is a small nodule right where the leaf and the stem of the leaf meet that is secreating a somewhat cloudy liquid. What could this be?? Does this contain a higher concentration of ricin then, say, just the leaf??

  13. Thank You for the replies. Unfortunately I live in a small town in the U.S. where most of the people probably don't even know what a botanical garden is. If you come across a source though I would be much abliged for the information.

P.S. D. draco is a similair species to D. cinnibari but the resin of D. draco is used primarily as a stain or varnish.

  14. Does anyone out there know where to get Dracaena cinnibari seeds/plants? Any information would be helpfull.

P.S. Dracaena cinnibari is a tree native to the Canary Islands. It is the main source of a resin called Dragon's Blood, named for its red color. The resin is used as a strong smelling incense.
