What do people think about the idea of hard to find documentaries that some of us have being burnt to dvd [data to fit more] and posted to a member who then copies it and posts it to another member and so on.... i agree with mud that the places our gnomes find their precious should be considered sacred... half the fun over the past decade my gnome has had is going out searching... it's half the adventure! if he find something it's a bonus... my gnome has not found cubes in sa but has also not looked... subs are found in woodlands/grass... predominantly pine forest but my gnome has also found them around a valley of eucalypts [surrounded by pine forest that had not one] but by far the most obscure place my gnome found them was the mulch bed [on a main road] of an ambulance station lol my gnome is obviously not going to state which one and he probably shouldnt have stated that but he laughed his arse off when he made the discovery! factors which in my gnome's experience influence patches are: altitude humidity temperature substrate landscape surrounding trees/plants commonly found near or around bracken [this is worthy of taking note of] near waterways [creeks/rivers/etc] places that have been disturbed [either by animals, humans or bikes, etc] near lookalikes [especially gallerina] remember how easily spores are transported... they are spread all the time but only fruit when the conditions are suiting.. over the years my gnome has dug out small patches of mycelium after a positive id and then planted it at another location to keep the mycelium running ;-)

I honestly can't see this legislation working... I see you have given up hope santiago? Why give up the fight so easily? We are all aware it will affect more than just drug users... Soy May Contribute to Cataracts I have also recently become aware at just how un-healthy un-fermented soy is for you... It can decrease the amount of vitamins and minerals your body absorbs and considering how many processed foods contains soy that is a real worry. I know processed food should be avoided anyway but this raises a serious alarm to me... Is this common knowledge or do people just keep munching on their potato drinks with a glass of soy milk thinking it's not doing them 'that much harm?' What else do people know about the dangers of soy? I feel this is an important topic that should be researched more.

i'm not referring to subs mate im referring to cubes... ive heard they grow here but just never looked properly i 'think' i may have seen some at my feet about 6 years ago when on my great uncles farm in kangarilla but unfortunately both him and my dad were standing next to me and i didn't get the opportunity to bend down and investigate without arousing suspicion a bit longer for subs though only approx 4 mnths... that time will fly ;-) in the meantime! :D

Another interesting fact I have read before about the tobacco plant is that it contains trace amounts of beta-carbolines... Is this a concern to anyone else and what does trace amounts mean? Is this a factor creating further risk of illness when combined with alcohol and other foods/drugs which are generally dangerous to consume alongside beta-carbolines? The title of this thread is "Smoking 'causes damage in minutes" The general vibe is telling me "arrogance creates seperation and lack of constructive thought in seconds..." Grow up svarg26.. thanks for making your contribution but please do it with less sarcasm and disrespect in the future. You may not be trying to make friends [and if you are think twice about your methods] but there is a common respect on the forums which should be more strictly enforced. Shamanic use of tobacco could be considered safe as it's not entirely inhaled and isn't consumed all day, day in day out; but the habitual use is a filthy habit to say the least and shouldn't be encouraged but despite not being a tobacco smoker I do beleive that we all have the right to freedom of choice! I do believe there are much bigger issues of concern out there though that pose much more of a threat to lung damage than tobacco.
