I concur. "Bio - organic" and "bio - mechanical" tatts are really cool. Especially when the artist puts a lot of depth into the design. Sorta makes it look 3D. And judging from your mates myspace page, he is pretty awesome at what he does, especially since he is only an apprentice.

Yeah it's the stock lens. Well I got a second lens as well, but they are pretty much the same. Just different focal lengths. One is 18 - 55mm, the other is 55 - 250mm.

Hey Peaceful, The neck piercing is just a "surface piercing." Similar to how they do the bridge of the nose. They just mark where they want to enter and exit the skin. Then clamp the skin from point A to B, allowing a little bit extra for the piercing to fit. Then stab away. The neck didn't actually hurt too much. My nose piercing is actually the worst one so far, which sorta surprised me. By the the way, I recently watched a pretty cool doco on body modification called "Modify." Covers most things from plastic surgery and body building to suspension piercings and voluntary amputation. One of the interesting points put forward was about possible legislation (In USA) being implemented to regulate body modification. The interviewee's main complaint was that they have the right to do what they want to their own body. And that body mods make them realize they are not under control, and that there is more to life than what we are led to believe. I just thought it was interesting that these ideas form a lot of what the psychedelic community stands for. And that this industry is also coming under attack from the law.

By coincidence, I've just been preparing some nettle ferts as well. Planning to put them to use in a week or so. I would definitely vouch for its use as a yummy food. Haven't experimented much with it, but simply wilting young shoots over a fire/stove is very nice. Wilting it over a flame(and I would assume any heat) causes the "stingy" chemicals to break down. Very scientific I know I had always wondered if it had any alkaloids present, so it's interesting that you have experimented with it PH. Every time I eat the near raw material I get a nice little "buzz" for about an hour or so. I put it down to simply being my body being happy for the nutrient boost, but I shall have to delve deeper.

I just thought I'd add some of the ones I have so far. In order of oldest to most recent: My neck and belly were only done a couple of days ago, hence the redness... Haha, I love how the one on my belly looks like a face from my POV.

Nah, I wouldn't say that I am interested in this for either of those reasons. I just really like the act of being pierced and the after glow it leaves for a day or 2. Plus, I like how piercings can accentuate a person's natural features. I really like the artistic style of tattooing. Especially when it is a custom design or just something really different. The main reason I got into it is because my cousin is a tattooist, and his girlfriend is a piercer. I get to be her practice body :D. So that's the main reason I've got so many done in the past few months. Well I s'pose it's a voluntary modification, so I'd count it under the genre.

Interesting articles there. Thanks for posting. The Movie does look pretty shit though, judging from the previews. Just a doom and gloom blockbuster to scare people.
