I have found a few native varieties growing near eucalypts that looks somewhat like edulis. I would expect that if it did appear/arrive in new south Wales - that it would be asspciates with oak or similar introduced trees - althoughLepista nida is now completely naturalized and frequently found in eucalypt forest

Hi mate I forgot to PM.
-
Gday I dont like charging but at the moment Im a little skint. Pm if your interested: * Albino Tree Oyster (the dont feed after midnight strain that has literally busted open petri dishes) ~ $10 * Two King Oyster Commercial strains - $10 per plate * Two different Shaggymane strains - $20 per plate * Wood Blewit (the slow but super pinning strain) ~ $20 I also have a few King Stropharia strains from aussie sources so Im not sure about how these would perform. I intend on going back to sporeprint with this mushroom and isolating my own strains for next season. Cheers.

gday - I have a few of those. The King Stropharia is super slow however and i was considering starting from print next year. Also have two different shaggy strains and a few others. Ill pm you tomorrow mate (my wife wants the computer NOW!)

I think the blewit yields pretty poorly but is a superb flavored mushroom. Lots seem to like king oysters. Agrocube aegerita and stropharia Ra are also popular. Also consider the lawyers wig for your compost pile. I have this crazy strain of oyster that regularly cracks my Petri dishes lol. I call it the 'dont feed after midnight' strain lol.
