Been a while what type of music are people digging these days? im pretty obsessed with indian classical music at the moment. various bits and pieces with chaps like ravi shankar, l subramanian, ali akbar khan, kunnakkudi vaidyanathan and zakir hussain playing. i cant get over how amazing indian classical can be. the most haunting and exhilarating stuff. also been listening to surf rock compilations. surf rock can be really cool stuff. what are you guys listening to? any good finds?

that dj decks program is pretty good. better effects and many more cool features. but whats the deal with the jogwheels? with traktor i can get heaps good control and handle a song like vinyl. on djdecks you spin it back and the song spins back in a really jerky manner. have i set it up correctly? seems like it might be trying to pitch shift at the same time as spinning back. any tips?

top recommendation endrogen scoped this one out for a while after your recommendation and finally got one yesterday its a pretty fun piece of gear. using traktor 3 LE that was packaged with it but have tried a demo of traktor 3 and am tempted to get it for its looping abilities and a few other little features. have you tried it out with traktor or with ableton live or something?

uh, not really medical ages involved alchemy and superstion. modern medical science relies on the scientific method and detailed clinical trials. we dont know everything but progress is rapid.

i agree. making people feel threatened and scared of drug users is a good method to make them open their minds and gain more respect for drugs.

How to differentiate a Heartattack from Muscle Pain
Hagakure replied to Evil Genius's topic in Chill Space
i think the dfferentiating between a heart attack and chest pain conversation has completed yeah? i dont see any problems with continuing the discussion in here seeing there is a lot of interesting stuff being discussed. thats interesting about the carotene tolerance in eskimos. i doubt it would take 100o generations though. i am pretty sure there has been a dramatic case of evolution in african populations. prior to interaction with other cultures africans had no milk products in their diets. after getting past breast feeding the enzymes required to digest lactose (or some other chemical in milk) are turned off in most africans. but there has been a rapid selection for those that have modified genes for digesting milk. i guess africa has had its fair share of famines etc and if you can digest milk properly while others cant thats one more food source that might help you survive. was an interesting article about it in new scientist or somethign i think. cant remember all the details but thats the jist. in short, if we sent a whole lot of anglos to alaska i wonder how long it would take for selectionary pressures to select for those that can handle carotene as oposed to those that cant. -

the thing about ala etc is you need to get the ratios correct between your omega 3 and omega 6 intake. they both compete for some similar enzymes to lengthen their chains. more short chain omega sixs will reduce the amount of DHA synthesised. but yeah, flaxseed oil is a good move. boosting ratio of omega 3 in your system will result in more DHA produced. has anyone looked into polyprenols? some interesting research out there saying how some polyprenols help membrane functioning or something in the liver helping to reverse damage in alcoholics and drug addicts. i got a few shares in a company called Solagran a while ago and hoping that clinical trial results will come through with the goods. auxin - dont worry my access to seal blubber is rather limited. why did the whities get so messed up by a diet that the eskimos were surviving on? where they eating large amounts of some things that the natives ate in moderation? -
grab a few now and you will have a LOT more than a few by feb

fish oil is very good for your heart. the omega 3 fatty acids are good for health. japanese eat a lot more fish than we do and have hardly any heart disease at all. same with eskimos and other cultures that primarily eat fish products. edit: has anyone heard of the "aquatic ape" theory. basically implies that our ancestors relied uopn bodies of water for the primary source of their food. an ape that spent most its time in and around the ocean has a reason to loose all of its hair. baboons and other african planes apes and monkeys all kept their fur. why did our ancestors loose it. then ther is the requirement for fatty acids like omega 3. if we evolved up with eating lots of fish we would not have selective pressure on any ways of making these lipids ourselves. -

i have found that grafts kept in humidity and a certain amount of warmth (25-30 degrees) take better than grafts kept in cold humidity.
