Oh, I thought nausea from shrooms was highly common. Nope, i've never ingested psilocybe mushrooms before, but I have tried a few other psychedelics. If nausea isn't a problem I see no need for me to extract, i've never had problems with nausea with normal food or drugs, except when I drink milk way to fast

haha, something chronic, me and mates used to say that all the time, never ever heard anyone else say it. i have no idea whats going on here.

warrioe-sage what kind of life is that sitting at a computer all day conducting plans on how you will piss forums off today.

i said in my post before. WS always writes 'just ask1n' at the end of his post. so they changed it so ask1n means being annoying because WS is being annoying.
-
cause warrioe-sage writes (just-being annoying) at the end of 90% of his posts. asking doesnt change.
-
hehe just being annoying hahaha thats hilarious, i didnt even know it did that. just type asking

Yeah, I gotchya. Well, I'm going to try eating mushrooms first, I just wanted to have a backup plan incase they did give me nausea, because I really hate nausea. So you just used normal metho from the grocery store, no distilling or anything like that? Keen to hear how it goes.
-
Øskorei - I want to eat extracted psilocybin so I don't get the nausea from eating whole mushrooms. I don't have any knowledge about solvents, I've used loads before though, and never had any problems. I thought the extractaction was as simple as - soak/boil in metho, evaporate metho - ? I don't see what trouble I could get from using methylated spirits, but how would one proceed to extract the psilocybin with water?

This last bit of the collonisation is going really slow. It's been a week and the jars pretty much remained the same, with that one little patch left. SWIM said he had it turned upside down for 2-3 days now, is there anything else he can do to speed it up or does he just have to sit and wait. Btw, I picked up that PC for my legal edibles, it works great, fits 5 jars on the bottom and has about another jar of room above them. I just did a test drive with sand and did the water drop test, everything worked I'm sterilizing another jar right now.

ok, how would one got about distilling methylated spirits?
-
Ok, so where would I find methanol? Would it just be in Bunnings or Mitre 10? What kind of brands sell it, if I just go into the hardware store and ask for methanol will they know what i'm talking about. Is isopropyl OK to use? Say I wanted to do an experiment with this extraction, and just did it on one average dose of shrooms, would that still work?

Wow, nice shots, your camera can focus really close! That second last red one looks way cool.
-
haha, awesome work! i love it

Could one not just soak ground up mushrooms in Methylated Spirits, then strain and evaporate? - Apparently these crystals (psilocybin) can be smoked for a similar experience to DMT?
-
haha, alright. so when the whole jars looking like that bottom picture- i'l tell SWIM tol pump it. he's got 3 others jars going but they've only just started to collonise. thanks again

I was walking by the beach recently when I noticed the leaves on this looked strkingly similar to Acacia Leaves. I put it off to just looking similar until yesterday I saw the beginning of flowers, which were exactly the same as when Maidenii, Obtus and Longifolia begin to flower. So I grabbed some leaves (unfortunately no pre-flowers), to see if you guys knew what it was. Yes, it is pretty much growing ON the beach. Any Ideas?
-
Definately not Longifolia or Maidenii. I know what those look like, and those certainly are not it. They are much, much more shrubby than tree looking. If I can, i'll try get a shot of them down at the beach. There is SOOOOOOOO much of it, lol. Some sort of closely related species to longifolia is what I expect, as the positioning of the flowers and the phyllodes look very similar, but not the same. Acacia Sophoprae would also be my best bet.

That picture I showed which SWIM gave to me is all just one cake, SWIM just rotated it a bit every photo. Did you know that, or did you think each picture was a different cake? Anyways, assuming you knew each picture was the same cake, even though in that first picture there's a large portion which hasn't collonised, it's still ok to pump and invert? Knowing the pictures are all of one cake, if you still think it's OK to pump, i'll go and do it right now (or when you reply).

What the hell is this?
immanuel replied to Vertmorpheus's question in Plant Identification (non-cactus)
There were trees around my old house which looked exactly like that, the spikes where just smaller, about the size of my middle fingernail. Me and my friend always used to try and climb them as a challenge :D -
My legal edibles are growing nicely. As you may or may not be able to see (kind of hard with the bad lighting) SWIMs cake is white almost everywhere, except for the uncollonised patch in the first picture. Would this be the time to turn the jar upside down or pump it or something similar? Or should he just leave it until it (hopefully) starts pinning. If it becomes fully white all over, and there are no pins for a week after, should he just birth it anyway? - Thankfully the myc out-competed that contamination that SWIM posted a while back :D

I was wondering what the best way of germinating psychotria viridis would be? I live slightly north of sydney, so I'm not sure how the climate would be for them, but i'm willing to create my own mini greenhouse chamber or something similar to keep the humidity up. I've read alot of mixed reports over the internet, some say grow with potting mix or seed raising mix, others say vermiculite, some say to grow in zip lock bags, or put in direct sunlight, others say to grow in the open with only indirect sunlight. So in my area, which method would be the best to follow to germinate these seeds? Thanks for any help.
-
I don't have any leaves though. I'll see how the seeds go, I got them in a little plastic container, in my room, which im spraying with mist everyday to keep them humid. I'm leaving transaculent lid of the container, slightly offset and letting them sit on my bed next to the windowsill in the daytime, where they get lots of indirect sunlight. Hopefully all goes well, but if not hopefully I'll be able to find csme suttings somewhere, because apparently they are much easier than seeds. Thanks for all the helpful info everyone.

congrats on the 1000 posts. count me in

i got a 150L plastic box for my fruiting chamber for 20 bucks. it was the biggest there, so better safe than sorry. im planning on boiling perlite in a pot first, then letting it cool, straining the water off, putting an inch in the bottom of the container and putting my cakes ontop. from there should I just fan the air out twice a day? do i leave the lid on? do I want to spray it with mist occasionly, how can i tell if it's too dry and needs a spray? should I drill holes into the box? how much light do i need to give it every 24 hours, indirect sunlight or direct? can I just rig up a light in my closet and turn it on for however long during the day so i dont have to keep them outside? sorry i have alot of questions, thanks for any help.

Hello again. My gnome just finished and decided to start collecting Obtusifolia material. He wonders if anyone knows of places where he may find it on the Central Coast. Any links which may provide descriptions of Obtusifolia are also very helpful as my gnome is inexperienced with this tree. Thanks for any help, my gnome appreciates it.
