I agree. Leaf is readily available. Good vine sections require growing for 3+ years at least. I guess it comes down to users wishing to have a more reliable experience and thus sticking with rue/vine. I notice some regret in your statement of losing some tryptamine material. ;)

Danny Gomez is awesome, especially his Flashback animation. I think this is all his old work though. Anyone got anything more recent?

I have it. It's an excellent book and I recommend it entirely. Amazon is the cheapest option, Polyester in Melbourne also stock it.

My TBMs all pupped a month or two ago, much to my delight. However, some of what were bulbous and firm specimens are now much softer and slightly withered. Its hard to explain, but I've got some plants which when pup, put out a firm fat pup, and the parent branch doesn't mind at all. These are in bigger pots. The ones in question are in smaller pots, but the plants themselves are respectively smaller. The pups are notably thinner and longer than the parents which were short fat stumpy knobs (pardon the pun). Anyone seen this before? Any insights or suggestions to fatten them back up?

Thanks guys. I'll try a few things and report back down the track!

I think it sounds like the Chilis with their balls cut off, though there are some really good tracks on it, and it's a marked improvement over 'By The Way'. I can't help but think it would have been a great album had it been just one disc!

I'm no expert, but I brought back a viridis that basically dropped all its leaves by doing the following: - increase humidity (top half of a 3L coke bottle over the top worked) - replant in richer faster but draining soil - watering frequently, but not leaving soaking or soggy - some extra nutes, plain old osmocote worked well - keeping out of direct sunlight good luck. Try growing some leaf cuttings from the lower leaves if you have kept them. (cut in half width ways, plant upright half submerged in soil/perlite, keep very humid)

There's quite a bit of stirring in Aus amongst various scenes/communities at the moment regarding NZ and their 'legal' options. There's also quite a few web based businesses trading quite legally, (though obviously the purchaser is subject to their countries import laws.) Do a search on "BZP" and target .nz and .au websites for more info..

Never come across that Alegro one, thanks.

"Breaking Open the Head" was a very good read, and most people on this board are likely to find it interesting enjoyable and informative. It did frustrate me a little in that it sometimes seemed to come across like some kind of a slightly narcissistic self therapy exercise (for lack of a better expression) and that you could almost feel an air of arrogance about some of his exploits, whether that was intentional or not, I'm not sure. Maybe I'm just jealous I'll definitely track this down and read it. Shame it just missed my recent book orders.... bah.

Shame it's RealMedia.. boo. Anyone recommend a RealMedia stream saver?

Yeah, ditto. Will be very interested in the results. Any word on how the analysis is being done?

It was a rubbish article..some kid collapsed due to the caffeine (or similar) content in some 'speed balls' which are some lozenge type product. He then entered his school athletics race which went bad. Kids perhaps shouldn't be gulping huge amounts of caffeine, but they can just as easily do the same on coffee/coke/no-doz . The story was heading down 'sold as confectionary, look like lollies...' angle..

I had a T.pach pup come out with about 11 ribs once, though it's slowly losing them as it gets older. It's since thrown out a pup with a more regular 6 ribbed growth pattern.

I think generally psychedelic use is on the rise. I've been surprised lately by the amount of people that I've run into that have brushed with plants and substances, particularly DMT, in the most unlikely places and surroundings. They are drug users, but normally only into party drugs. (On that point, it seems that cocaine use is also on the rise for the mid-20s to late-30s group, probably due to availability, greater affluence and less stigma and perceived lack of negative effects, especially the day after to speed or e) I've also come across unlikely people that have hit up Erowid on a hunch, or through random surfing who have become interested in psychedelia and thus take the step into that realm. Also, the HHH stand at the Sydney Big Day Out was doing blistering trade all day, but that could be people looking for substitutes after being scared off from bringing stuff in with the whole sniffer dog thing. I also think its generally positive. The negative side of things certainly could come into play if there are some unfortunate events related to psychedelic use and the media grabs hold of it...

Wow, those letters are rather amazing. Thanks again! -
Any idea for an oil that works well and tastes good? I find most of them unpleasant, and generally use milk.. but I'm sure it's not that efficient.

Wow. These are excellent reports. Thankyou very much for taking the time to write them up.

My Eileen cut has pupped too, which is great as it's had a very stressful life. 1. It arrived with a bit of rot on the bottom, which I cut off, and at the same time, cut the foot long cutting into two sections (tip & section cut) 2. Waited for it to callous, a few weeks... 3. Placed outside for a day, on the 2nd day (NYD), that 45degree day hit and sunburnt the crap out of both cuttings!! They went yellow, and one rotted underneath the burn. I had to cut the rotten back bit to the woody core (cut in a wedge from halfway down the section to the core). Shortly after, the cutting pupped! 4. Tip cutting has rooted, and is trying to recover from the less severe burn and is showing new growth 5. Section cut with pup will hopefully root soon Sorry to hijack the thread, but I can't wait until this plant starts living the happy life it deserves.

In relation to the original post, on some occasions that I've smoked pot I've got a massive pain in my ears/glands behind the ears. Kind of like an intense headache which in no way is related to the smoke itself. I think the likely suspect is a sharp rise in blood pressure. It's not too pleasant, but passes in under 5 minutes normally..

I think it looks like it could be useful.. leave it there for posterity's sake ;)

lol. exactly..just a bit of creative menu writing... -
Take a walk around Moore Park/Centennial Park over the next few days and you're likely to find mushroom 'carpets'. Can be quite amazing! I might try and snap some shots over the weekend.
