Hey guys, Great info. Thanks. Sorry if this cross thread has confused things.....but if you want to be in the running for the seeds you will need to post your contributions into the working thread in the op link

Hi there folks, I have a couple of vines dormant in my little green house that require a good home, some love and care. Given that it is the dead of winter down there where most live ?, I can hold onto the vines and post in spring if that suits. I have 2 x mid size Banisteriopsis muricata cuttings plus a small B. muricata and a small Alicia anisopetala. First prize is the largest B. muricata cutting and your pick of either of the small cuttings. 2nd prize is the second largest B. muricata cutting and the other small cutting. This pic shows the vines. The red crosses show the B. muricata vines and the blue cross shows the A. anisopetala. I might also throw in a couple of Brazilian Chacruna cuttings too if folks are interested. THE COMP is only open to folks in Australia as I won't be sending overseas and interestate postage is subject to your state quarantine laws. i will pay for express postage. POST A PHOTO OF YOUR BEST VINE (Ayahuasca vine). Must be your vine and have a cigarette lighter on the base of the main vine stem for scale. Comp finishes next sunday at the time of posting this post. WINNER IS THE POST WITH THE MOST UPVOTES. 2nd is the post with the second most upvotes. you can upvote as many entries as you like but please stop voting this time next sunday once the comp is finished. Good luck and may the best vine win!

I've got 2 little flushes so far and both have failed to set seed. Maybe next year I'm hoping. I'll try to get photos and take note on setting times.

ISPs and service providers will have to wait until November to learn details of the funding model, despite the data retention scheme going live on October 13. John Stanton, CEO of Communications Alliance, called for urgent clarity on the program. Service providers are required by law to retain all data outlined in the scheme, and those that choose to disagree can be penalised for $2 million for non-compliance. Costs of the scheme has been reported at $319.1 million much higher than the originally estimated $188.8 million. Theres more than 400 service providers in Australia and I think they are in a range of readiness for the regime, Stanton said. Some have lodged implementation plans, others are still working on them to try and come up with a clear plan to get to compliance, and I think there are some that are pretty much behind the game as well, so it will be interesting to see how many get their plans in by October 13. Those providers that have an approved Data Retention Implementation Plan may not meet compliance until 12 April 2017. #GoDark on Australian data retention: https://www.facebook.com/GoDarkAustralia Link - http://www.caleupe.com/writing/funding-model-for-data-retention-to-be-released-in-november/

The news report in the op is outright incorrect in that the brew contained tobacco and not ayahuasca. The guy died from tobacco overdose not ayahuasca.
-
Pretty sure there was a tobacco brew involved, which isn't mentioned in the article. See link for more info - https://www.reddit.com/r/Ayahuasca/comments/3jwf9x/iquitos_fatal_tobacco_purge/ http://i.stuff.co.nz/national/71864946/Kiwi-Matthew-Dawson-Clarke-dies-in-Peru-after-tobacco-purge

I have heard that you don't want an email service providers based in Australia as the gov can easily access content then. This link has a good list of email providers that the au gov will likely have issues pulling from - https://www.privacytools.io/

The seeds are from someones garden that lives in fnq. No sure where they got them from. Pretty sure it is yopo as these trees hate the cold and fail to thrive, unlike vilca.
-
Yeah warty linear spines that aren't sharp. Seed came from the FNQ population.
-
Hey katu, Let me know if you are keen to look further into this vine. Recent flowers -

Great vines guys!

I have 2 seed grown yopo that are a couple a years old that are just starting to flower. A couple looked like they were going to set fruit but then the fell off. I reakon your right. I'm expecting a haul next year. I also have a yopo given to me as a young plant. It struggled for many years but as soon as the seed grown plants roots touch with it, it sprang to good health so i'm expecting it to seed next year also. I think thd plant was lacking the required root microbes but the seed grown plants got them somehow. Looking forward to picking a haul next year. Good luck with your plants and i hope you get a haul next year too

I think it was around $120-$150 in 2009 when it came out. Edit - http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=22553&hl=%2Bgarden+%2Beden $140 inc postage.
-
No worries guys. Hope they are happy under your care.
-
Yeah no worries. You can have a ribbon bullit. Good work must be rewarded.
