    P.Viridis issues

I bought a powder last night and watered it in to the pot, ants have dissapeared already this morning I'm doing the island option just in case they return but this powder stays in the soil for a few waterings so it should be cleared up. Thanks everyone for their help! KlUe

    "Seasol" plant health promotion

Taken from their website: "Seasol is a dynamic growth stimulant and plant tonic, it is not by definition a fertiliser. Scientific trials over many years have proven its value as a means of promoting healthy vigorous growth in plants, improving resistance to insect and fungal attack, and reducing the symptoms of stress from excessive heat, frost damage and transplanting." http://www.seasol.com.au/gsqp.php?gsqp=aboutseasol Are there any recommended ferts that people can recommend if Seasol is not going to be suitable for long term use? The directions say to treat plants every 2-3 weeks during watering..

    P.Viridis issues

Hey guys, The problem with ants is that often after they establish their nest in the root system (which can often damage them), ant feeders such as aphids and other weird looking things (I've seen some strange looking bug with these white hair things all over it) come along and then they can do the real damage by sucking the nutrients from the plant. They definetally don't defend the plant from aphids Please correct me if I'm wrong but i've seen it numerous times in my garden, and i'm hoping I can get rid of them before the Viridis goes down the same dead end! How simple an idea but how stupid I was never to think of it! Cheers Torsten - I'll try it tonight. Is there any spray you can recommend? I might just go down to the nursery and see what they've got. Thanks mate, KlUe

"Mushroom growing made easy" DVD movie.

I've not seen the movie, but in my opinion, best thing to do is to just read a few different teks, and do it yourself to suit your personal requirements I had to change a few things to suit my situation on my first grow and have used the same tek since then. KlUe

    HBWR in SW Sydney

I believe HBWR prefers rich, well draining soil... But I'm sure it will be okay in your soil though, if it is at all like morning glory.....

    My first

Looking good mate. Yeah, dunk them for sure. You can usually get a few dunks before you notice any signs of contam. I use a clean bucket and weigh the cakes down so they are stuck under the water, and put in fridge overnight (24hrs is better) to rehydrate the cakes Then take them out, use some more vermiculite if you'd like, on the base and around the top, and you'll hopefully be seeing more fruit within the week! Good herbal green tea source?

Hi mate, Check out: http://www.theteacentre.com.au/ They are tea specialists and have a HUGE range of teas to choose from. I buy all my white and green tea from here and they offer Australia wide delivery. KlUe

    Salvia Divinorum

Thanks Ace, To be honest, I don't think it'll be worth the risk - I'll just keep my eyes and ears open for other sources. I think there are too many factors against the idea.. KlUe

    Taste of mushrooms...

Keep in mind that mushrooms are about 95% water (please correct me if i'm wrong), so most of their weight comes from there - in the end dried shrooms weigh very little. Taste can depend on how you're consuming.... In the past i've dried them and put them in a tub of honey - this is a good way to eat them if the taste turns you off, as well as preserving them for a while. I agree with bluemeanie, after a while your body automatically recognises the taste and you have to prepare to keep your food down!\, no matter what you're masking the taste with.... especially because its not always about the actual taste but their consistency in your mouth.
  20. Thanks apothecary, i've not been able to take any good photos because its kinda hard to see the browning areas at the graft area, its still pretty stable on top, so i'll just keep it in some shade and see how it goes. KlUe
  21. Hey mate, i created it because I dont even know if its rotting - its just a bit browish and wrinkled on the bottom part. KlUe

    Papaver somniferum

http://forums.mycotopia.net/showthread.php?t=9849 This is a grow thread I started from an imported mushroom starter kit from the Netherlands, Ace. I believe you need to be a member to view the pictures, which I highly recommend if you're into the shroom scene. This was my first experiment and my first shroom experience, which I thoroughly enjoyed and was amazing to watch them grow. If this is not suitable for these forums due to its legal issue, admins please remove if necessary. Peace KlUe

    Papaver somniferum

Hello all I know this has been discussed in numerous threads in the forum but I wanted to clear up some misunderstanding.. Apologies if this has been clarified before, but i've been looking around and not seen an answer to the following: As we know poppies can grow in the wild, and I've heard of 'the little old lady next door' having them in their backyards for ornamental purposes, as they are a great colourful plant to have around. Wether this is legal or not, I doubt.. But I just can't see how that lady next door could be arrested from growing a beautiful plant.... The main question is though: How can the authorities actually prove you are growing with intent and if it would be possible to prove you are unaware of their illegality OR that if they're growing in a random area of your property could look as unsuspicious as anything else thats growing there. For all they know I've could have absolutely no idea what they are and therefore there is the intent and/or cultivation question. Thanks in advance for any clarification. Feel free to PM me. Peace, keep it green! KlUe

Such is life I guess. I know its said every day, but i just hate the thought of going to jail or being called a criminal because our govt is allowed to decide what is better for us than our own intuition. Peace all, and thanks for the replies and warm welcome
