Thought so mate Too wet isn't good - you can definetally keep trying it out though, it can't hurt! They don't need too much maintenance either - just remember to keep their environment humid. Might not even need too much humidity due to the wetness, so I rekon stick it out :D Have you got any pics? KlUe

Hey mate, most stuff is made in China, but do you think the jars withstand boiling/steaming for 1.5hrs in a pot though? Thats one of my concerns, and is why I use the whiskey glasses as they have a thick base.

True that.. But at least with jars the lids wont come off, foil isn't guaranteed to stay on, especially during sterilization. Let me know how the birdseed mix goes mate :D

Hi all, I recently purchased an S.tortuosum plant which had two rooted cuttings in there. The smaller one looks fine, but the larger one is very weak in terms of holding itself up. The growth isn't too bad - up to a couple of cm per day depending on the conditions, but the top of it droops over and leans on the soil. Is this supposed to happen? Cheers, KlUe

I respect your thoughts Chronic but the fact is that Australia is a free country and no matter who or where people are they should be allowed to display our country's flag. I can agree that there are a number of Aussies that would do so to cause trouble, but during the last few months, the couple of Muslim leaders examples have been far worse than any individual wanting to wear the flag. Our flag is all we really have, and it is our symbol for what we are - offensive or not.

Hi mate, Everyone is different, especially with shrooms, in my belief it has nothing to do with body weight but your minds tolerance. But a general: 1-2 grams - a beginners dose 3.5 grams - an average strong trip 5 grams - will have you way in the cosmos 7 grams or more is considered a hectic dose by most My first try (WAS IN A LEGAL COUNTRY), I had about 4 or 5 large but BONE dried shrooms and had an average trip, some people that were much larger than me were MUCH more effected than I was, so just start low and have more every half hour or so until you're at a comfortable stage Peace and take care! Thats what I'd recommend too, Ace. Usually its just a bit less than the amount of vermiculite you use, but again it depends on the type as to how much water is required. It shouldn't have a soggy or sticky feel to it, just wet enough to attach the BRP to the verm. The verm can also absorb the remainder of water if you have a little extra.. But yeah, it should have a more 'dry' consistency rather than wet. Once the substrate is in the cups/jars, you shouldn't be able to see any wetness pretty much at all. Trial and error my friend, but let me know how it goes! KlUe

Hi all I've been recently noticing all my rue seeds have sprouted. I've put them all in separate seedling pots after they looked big enough to handle a transplant (3cm or so).. Anyways they looked fine for around a week, slowish growth (been in mostly shade), but i've noticed they have all started to yellow on their leaves... I've thought maybe they were too wet so I put half in more sun and let the soil dry out but it doesnt seem to have been the problem... Even gave them a very diluted dose of Seasol to see if that could help but still no new green growth. Looking very unwell! Any ideas? KlUe
