Again, not for beginners, but super-cool: https://blog.arduino.cc/2017/12/29/ultrasonically-levitate-particles-and-liquid/

I'm not familiar enough with how Pennsylvania keeps its court records, so this is all I could find:
https://ujsportal.pacourts.us/docketsheets/CPReport.ashx?docketNumber=CP-02-CR-0011185-2015
TLDR: Charges of dissemination and criminal use of a communications facility were dropped, Smith pled guilty to possession of the images, and was sentenced to 5 years probation - has to ask permission to travel etc., and has to continue treatment. That's all we can say for sure. Whatever happened, any speculation without evidence to back it up is unlikely to provide anything useful. Ironically & in contravention of the previous sentence, I'm not sure that knowing the truth of this case would make anyone much happier or wiser.

Well I don't have much spare cash to gamble with, so any investment I make would be small, and probably long-term. Also, because I don't follow crytpocurrency & blockchain news very closely (at all), I had no idea there were so many ICO's happening. I shouldn't be surprised, but do feel that we are missing out. SABcoin anyone?

I'd be interested in what people make of this ICO and the plan for the coins themselves: https://ico.presscoin.com/ There's a lot of fine words in their website, - talking about being transparent, asset-backed etc., but I'm deeply suspicious.

I don't know, there's a lot of Michael S Smith's out there - though one was arrested for armed robbery last year....

I'll be there from noon(ish).

Lots going on here, so it might take me a while to figure out what (if anything) I can add to it that's actually worthwhile. Fucking epic thread though, have really enjoyed binge-reading it all in one hit.

Is this guy for real? Piloting a home-made rocket is kind of dangerous, whether the earth is round or not! Still, full marks for commitment to only accepting empirical evidence that you gather yourself.

I saw this in the advert and made me laugh.
"All La Trobe University employees are bound by the Working with Children Act 2005."
They really do like to hand hold their students.
Ha! Actually, most of the uni's down here require all staff to pass a working with children check - whether you are teaching or not.

Yep TPI the company very few wanted to grow for and took Poppies to the big island. Lol...i won't go into the conspiracies.
I did wonder about that. Bet you'd see/hear some interesting stuff in this job if you kept your eyes & ears open (and mouth shut).

Not sure about the rest, but I'm pretty sure SMS messages are admissible at least.

i want a rifle turtle t shirt. See how often i end up with cops coming to check me out in public places
So long as the cops aren't using any autonomous lethal turrets/drones you'd be pretty safe, other than when a frustrated copper loses his shit after talking to you for the 10th time. But I reckon wearing that shirt in the wrong place, the Korean DMZ for example, could be fatal. I guess that would make my idea of rifle-turtle key-rings or stuffed toys slightly irresponsible - imagine walking thorough a major international airport with one of those!
Not sure how it would interact with facial recognition though. I imagine that if you've been classified as a firearm or foodstuff, this could throw some systems off a bit. Ether way, it's a great proof of concept.

Yeah man, that's shit. Should definitely shop them to the ATO now.

We've been talking about it for over 10 years http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/index.php?/search/&q=Synaptolepis &sortby=relevancy
(Noob Lesson 1: Use The Search Engine (UTSE) - repeated failure to do so can lead to cries of UTFSE)
I've wanted seeds for a while, but have never seen them advertised anywhere. Haven't asked around for a few years though, so who knows. If you find any, please PM me.
Also: Welcome to the forums!

I don't really have a mycological space at my current place yet. But I did get a copy of Mycelium Running for Christmas, have read the whole thing already and am feeling very inspired.
