    changa???

From my knowledge other herbs that are good to use are Mullein and Peppermint. One way is to dissolve the crystal in isopropyl alcohol. Then mix it with the composition of leaf and let the alcohol evaporate. I'm not sure if there is any issue with any of the chemical being lost in the evaporation process. Someone else might be able to confirm that.

    unveiling norma

Thanks for all your efforts to the guys who brought Norma back. It's very much appreciated and I'll make sure she does well in her new home.
  3. I agree with you completely. I really have faith that we will reach that kind of future. How will understanding infinity help make the wisdom of the future easier to deal with?
  4. "Hello! I am a travelling edible plant. I have just begun a wonderful journey. Where are you going to take me? Please give me lots of sun and water. Could you also let my Parents know where I end up by emailing them your postcode/suburb on the bellow address. PS - Plant me then eat me!" This was written on a note that was attached to a starbucks cup. Half an hour ago I got back to my desk from lunch at work and it was my mouse pad. I don't know who left it there. In the cup is some soil with what I think is a cabbage seedling. I found a link with a bit about it. Travelling edible plant What do you guys think?
  5. Folias - I kind of agree with you except with your idea of all that is repressed in western society are the 'negative' sides of our emotions/thoughts. Negative is too much of a relative term for me to define. I agree that there is repression taking place but I think it's more with things that aren't tangible like emotion. We all know there are people who are exceptions to this generalisation and they are the people who have tools to be able to express them selves. To me these tools are things like painting, taking photos, gardening but most of all playing music which I think articulates emotion the best. If you develop these tools in life living within a western society, will repression of the 'negative' sides of your personality still take place? ThunderIdeal - I agree with you. I love passion as long as there is an underlying sign of respect between people.

    Heavy Metal

Some bands I like are Opeth, Dream Theater, Estradasphere, Porcupine Tree, Dragonforce, Blind Guardian, Dark Tranquillity, Unexpect, Meshuggah, Megadeth. Sorry for the late post.
  7. I believe in being negative, because the shadow is the primary issue facing the western consciousness, and being "positive" only reinforces typical dumb repression and saying what needs to be said, and what is on one's mind is necessary if we are ever to get on with it. I don't think confrontation requires someone to be positive or negative. I think all that's involved is understanding either way. What do you mean by 'repression' or 'getting on with it'? ThunderIdeal - I like you graph, it's a cool idea. In my opinion the conservations that have taken place wouldn't have beeen as interesting if everyone was neutral on the scale.
  8. We're all full of shit. Someone times we like to play in each other's shit. Thanks for that, I enjoyed reading it. Holymountain - You pretty much summed up most of my thoughts about the txt. There is an analogy I use which I can't remember if I stole or not. Imagine the unconscious mind is a puzzle board and the conscious mind is the person constructing it. If you take an entheogen you shake up the board and some of the pieces become scattered. This can allow the person to rearrange the pieces in a new way with a different perspective. Although, if 'abuse' of the substance takes place and the board is shaken up too much it's possible for the pieces to fall off the board all together. Everyone can make there own mind of what 'abuse' is. Sorry for the rant.
  9. Someone correct me if they think I'm wrong but, I'm sure alkaloids are created at the skin rather than being fed from the root system. In my opinion grafting means you're feeding a lot more nutrients into the scion so you have higher water content but the profile stays the same. You could say there is a lower ratio of alkaloids to tissue though. Can anyone else better explain the process that happens in the skin? Edit: Just to clarify when I say in the skin I mean the tissue just under the waxy layer.
  10. maybe......third eye = both sides working together? That's a cool idea. I kinda want to explore both worlds in all directions. I find it just as rewarding to get caught up in analysing my thoughts as I do in meditaion. I'm finding the hard part is finding a nice balance of these sides of my personality. Maybe if I find a good composition of these sides, a new perception might develop like you say.

    Is life a race?

I like plants. Plants like me. I think empathy is a form of communication outside the world of words which can be developed on many other levels. I'm want to keep on learning how to see myself in as many different things as possible. Plants help me do this in some ways. I guess this is my logic on one level to validate my obsession with collecting plants. I think it's healthy to remind myself on a regular basis that I'm full of shit and that this is just a justification.
  12. Did you put it in humidity at any point after you did the graft? Don't get down about loosing scions from practising. That's what it's all about. If you're like me and still learning, try practising with less precious cacti.
  13. two sides of the brain,rational/logical/straight line/[male] and irrational/intuitive/non linear/[female].......western education is usually the former and destroys the later.....this seems the basic theory of the metaphysics. I agree with ThunderIdeal. But where does empathy come into this?

    Peres VS Trich grafting.

Kada: Would you say that Hylocereus is as good stock as Tricho for grafts that you want to be permanent?

    ebay cactus

Sorry so whats the total... $29.50 or $39.50...?...sorry I'm a bit slow...oh and not to be picky or anything but tip cuts yeah... I don't think there will enough cuttings with tips for everyone. I wouldn't have thought it would matter much anyway. so how do you guys want to organise the cash. if you wanna pay 29.50 each then i will split the cactus into 10 equal parts, if you just wanna pay the tenner then we will adjust accordingly. what do you guys reckon I'm easy really, I'm happy to pay 30 + postage.

    Is life a race?

I don't like the idea of getting caught up in a materialistic world either but where does collecting plants come into it? Is this an exception or am I just as bad as the next guy?

I think I know this grower. What do you guys think it is? bridgesii?

    Is life a race?

I dunno, to say life is a race is to say life is linear. I think doing anything is progress.
