    It's actually a good thing gomaos, more species.

    The thing i found interesting about the difference in plants, are the "hard" and the "lipped" parts where the flower emerges from.

    Once the harder flower plants set seed, will see if they come up black.

    Will take a better look at them tomorrow and see if there are many differences

    hmm thats interesting, the plant with the single colour flower is the one with tan seeds.

    tst, i think it you was you that mentioned the 5 pointed flower?

    the darker flower, and the "hard" spear, which turn into a flower, The blue flower has been 5 pointed. Was that what you experienced? and what ever happened with that pod you tagged?

    Gom, your ipomoea violacea was SAB sourced?, if this is your only species, is the variation due to age etc?

    could the SAB source be ipomoea purpurea?

    i need to read up a bit more on the species i think

    evening,

    germination has been no problem, 24-48 hours no worries...but germination is not the issue

    on the topic of MG,

    and gomaos i suppose you'd be the best to answer this.

    3 seperate plants, 2 are showing large dark purple/blue flowers and large leaves.

    1 showing small light blue/purple/pink flowers and smaller leaves

    On the darker plants, flowers are forming in two different ways. One started out by spear head looking things, which are quite hard, and are up until the very last moments of flowering.

    and the other, more along the lines of a top and bottom lip, which the flower emerges from, the flower is very soft and translucent up until the moment of flowering.

    The lighter coloured flower is producing the tan seed. the other 2 are yet to finish seeding.

    I am under the impression that all 3 plants are the same species?

    The seeds that the flowers leave you with, are they tan, or blackish? what type of flowers do these seeds come from?

    On an ipomea violacea vine, the seed pods have dried and turned brown, what i thought was a sign of maturity.

    Every seed in the pod is a light brown/tan colour though.

    Gomaos, i noticed in the archives you had the same problem. Is this a trait of the specific species you have, or was it just a case of the seed not maturing properly?

    Has anyone experienced this?

    Going back a few years, a kid from a local school near me died during a lunchtime of butane inhaling, if that's not a consequence i don't know what is.

    everybody getting seeds, please let me know when they arrive. The post office has been screwing up for me lately, i just want to make sure things get there. thanks

    have had 100% germination rates, but then again have only tried with 3 seeds.

    Using a chinese take out container, lid slightly open in one corner. Using CSS.

    took about 2-3 days, and the weather was getting a bit cold during night times. generally sitting between 15 at night and 25 C day

    On the subject of humidity. Does anyone know those promotional bin eskies used at bottle shops, the ones in the shape of a drink can? One of those sitting outside, humidity and temperatures are fantastic in there even just on warmish days. Just keep a little water in the tub, or in the section below it. Can think of many uses for this one :)

    In what form are you meaning?

    Anything in relation with salvia divinorum, or dried/fresh leaves and extracts?

    For purely ornamental purposes, personally i can't see a restriction. Growing plants shouldn't be restricted to age groups...use is another issue

    Read about Morinda citrifolia in one of the age weekend special magazines of some sort.

    Said to be used for a range of purposes, including medicine. But the part that struck me, was in the article it mentioned natives (in NZ i think) saying it's use as an aphrodesiac.

    I'll find the article and some more info tomorrow, too tired at the moment.

    hey bumpy,

    I was wondering about that, if he had something medically wrong with him.

    But not totally in that way, i meant that he was just edgy in general, he didn't have answers for anything, but that does explain a bit, thanks :)

    Now that was a great moment, charlton deserved everything he got, he was pretty edgy during the whole interview aswell.

    twix, the book is on my list, of many books i will soon have. It's great how he actually takes the piss out of white americans and white folk in general, he does it so well, hard to do describe isn't it. thanks for the heads up :)

    So has anyone seen this doco by mike moore?

    had the pleasure of seeing it today, really liked it, gave a really good perspective on the happenings in the US in regards to gun control and just their attitudes really.

    Haven't seen the awful truth on SBS for ages, hopefully it'll be back soon enough.

    hey all,

    anyone catch the news last night?

    First crop of legal hemp was harvested in QLD, and NOW they are finally saying how beneficial the crop can be, took their sweet time.

    can't seem to find the article online, anyone who has it, would be great if you could post it.

    ...actually i could be wrong about "the first legal crop" but it was something along those lines :)
