    Geothermal energy - why don't we use this more - it's there, it's constant, reliable, good for the next couple of billion years - why don't we exploit that to our advantage? It is done to some capacity in a few countries but there is a power source sitting right beneath our feet, waiting for us to tap into it.

    You'll definatley see more of this in the future, Western Australia has some world class Dry rock geothermal areas that are really really juicy

    change your attitude, you have to appease to your partner occasionally as you will NEVER agree completely at any point, When people say things like that, and 'im not changing myself ever for anyone' and the like, i say, well your a fool, enjoy being single! We should all practice conscious consideration and learn tolerance and the skill of humoring someone, I'm not saying you should completely change, but its important to find middle ground in many things.

    oh wow are you really surprised that a 'TRANSIENT STATE OF PSYCHOSIS' can be achieved through IV of large doses of THC?

    1/ Once the IV thc is removed the psychosis goes

    2/ Possibly more then 99.9999999% of cannabis users DO NOT IV THC making the study somewhat irrelevant?

    I'm sure if I IV'd any numerous readily available compounds in a large enough dose that I could reach a state of psychosis haha

    perlite, scoria, pumus are all volcanic pyroclast's, rocks that form from magma being blow out of the vent in the air, they are very porous and permiable. all other volcanics are crap :(

    ..lol I know my rocks, alot more then anyone else on this forum I'm willing to bet!

    very porous volcanic rock? i know sandstone is, breccia is, conglomerate, some volcanic rocks are porous, depends on the deposit though, some would be pretty poorly porous. Thanks for the explanation blownq!

    hmm volcanic pyroclastics will be the only volcanic rocks with any significant porosity, magmatic deposits of basalt rhyolite andesite granite gabbro ect would have poor porosity, if none at all but that of gas vesicles, lava deposits again, poor porosity except for gas vesicles...

    Does volcanic rock make cacti grow better?? How does that work? Do you mean the high geothermal gradient or that the minerals in the volcanic rock allow cacti to grow in the cold better.... wow cool.

    Wow thats awesome!! You have some really cool friends if they're doing that for you! Please post up the super high res pics when you get them :-)

    There are some cool microfossils out there you could image, although there is quite a few EM pics of them already. The attached picture is a Foraminifera, soooo cooooool.

    For such a situation I would take a geneticly modifyed plant, it would have the ability for radiosynthesis (i think thats the term) that mushrooms use to turn radiation into energy and grow, a root that provided sustinance such as a potato which you can live off, that is fruit bearing and contains various active molecules in diffrent plant area's that come and go at diffrent times such as what occurs in papaver somniferium pods that shows alkaloid concentration increases and deceases. annnnnnd it would have to have some nice smelling flowers. :)
