  1. Damn, you gave yourself a hypo?!

I'm very glad to hear your child is happy!

I'm sure there is a lot of worry having a child with T1D. Soon enough he'll be able to monitor and correct his BGL by himself.

I know some people wake up when having a hypo/ hyper regardless of an alarm. Is your son one of these people?

I've heard stories from people i trust very much about having dreams about having high BGL and waking up to find it high in reality.

  2. So many plant medicines have an agenda and lessons to teach about itself or the outside world. There is a guiding presence that is quite obvious!

I just don't get it with Hawaiian baby woodrose. There is no ancient voice or guidance of the plant. No real agenda on openness and compassion for our planet and each other.

For a plant medicine it seems very unguided. I want to help myself and hopefully others to understand the force behind this flower.

Here's my first popping up from my Herbalistics seed planting like 5 or 6 weeks ago.

I planted seems from them a little over a month ago. Your post has given me hope

  4. There are so many great new technologies (Although pricey) that help monitor BG levels. Look into Capillary blood glucose monitoring. You can track it from your phone.

And insulin pumps exist but it would be bulky for a 2 year old.

Good luck to you and your family :)

Did you scarify and /or soak the seeds beforehand? This will help your germination rate. Also try smoke treatment, this can assist too.

I've used a mixture of all sorts of scarification/ soaking, never smoke treatment though. I have found success in all methods. Prior to purchasing seeds i practiced different ways of scarification on acacia seeds from local trees and they grew like crazy. I ended up planting them in the bush :)

  6. Hey, this is my first post so please excuse me if its a mess :)

I planted acacia seeds about a month ago, 8 obtusifolia and 4 floribunda, 2 of each of these popped up in days, not problem.

Since then in the last 3 weeks i have planted an additional 15 or so floribunda.

So far I've only had 2 obtusifolia germinate and are doing great.

And 2 floribunda which also popped up fast after planting.

The remainder seem to be laying dormant. Is it common to have this much gap between germinating acacias?

Could it be the difference between planting at the beginning of summer and towards the end?
