DualWieldRake replied to theuserformallyknownasd00d's topic in Ethnobotany
Planted some sacred datura and sun opener in the ground Some vines and bines...Moonflower, Corkscrew vine, Ololiuqui and HBWR (or whats left of it) Also found a violet whilst digging and decided to preserve it so here it is relocated next to a just planted Boerhaavia diffusa -
Looks good and thats a nice red leaved tree in the middle What season are you in?

No aroma detected I see no midribs (leaves are too small) so i'm guessing moss then. Still the only thing sprouted in the whole tray :D

I propose a new option in account settings to have all reference to the defunct genus name Trichocereus automatically changed to Echinopsis by means of forum software, this to counter any current confusion existing. And to give Echinopsis the credit it rightfully deserves! Don't be a dinosaur! @Evil Genius There exists a certain type of printable glossy paper that you can stick over the title on your book

Issue with one of my cacti. Help needed please
DualWieldRake replied to squidgygoanna's topic in Cacti & Succulents
A calcicole, calciphyte or calciphile is a plant that thrives in lime rich soil.[1][2] The word is derived from the Latin 'to dwell on chalk'. Under acidic conditions, aluminium becomes more soluble and phosphate less. As a consequence, calcicoles grown on acidic soils often develop the symptoms of aluminium toxicity, i.e. necrosis, and phosphate deficiency, i.e. anthocyanosis (reddening of the leaves) and stunting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calcicole -
