  1. Hey SAB Plant Heads - For those struggling to understand why to go to EGA let me help.

EGA is an Australian homegrown Ethnobotanical and Psychedelic Science Conference.

The International Keynote presenters at EGA are listed below, however, that just the tip of the iceberg.

    Wont to see what really going on then look at the programming pages directly;

  2. Hey everyone

Just been following up on this EGA discount ticket offer for SAB users, I only had 3 PM regarding the tickets, was there anyone else that went with the discount offer?

If so can you please PM me asap so i can work out your ticket refund and or discount ticket ;-)

Seem there going to be a lot of SAB peep at this one, the way it should be.

  3. Hey Gem, EGA will have some more info on this soon. We have got the first version of the FAQ that should help with some questions - http://www.entheogenesis.org/faq

I try to get someone on the team to get some more info together around this point.  For those looking to keep thing simple, there is also the 'Feed me Meal Package' that amazing value and keep your EGA simple, see the ticketing page for more info on that.

'what if I wanted those shoes to match those jeans' - hahaha style is a good characteristic to have at EGA.

FYI, there will also be 4 food stalls and at least 2 coffee shops on the main EGA site for people.

  4. hahah, sorry, I got lost somewhere ;-)

    Yes is Alan

ALAN ROCKEFELLER is a specialist in fungal taxonomy from Oakland, California, USA. In 2000 he began his autonomous studies in the field of mycology, beginning with the collection of fungi in California.   Each year since 2007 he has traveled to Mexico to collect mushrooms - he has now identified more than 1,000 species of fungi from Mexico.     Based on phylogenetic and microscopic analysis he has identified several species not described in the scientific literature. Alan regularly identifies mushrooms for several fungus fairs in Mexico and the USA in addition to identifying on websites such as The Shroomery, Mushroom Observer, iNaturalist and various Facebook groups.

Giving two talks and one workshop - see the EGA web page for more info under the programming tab

Thank you so much to the SAB community and Torsten - If it was not for SAB and this community EGA simply would not exist. We are so happy to see this thread ;-)

We have seen emails and FB posts that discuss people feelings about how expensive our event is perceived. But EGA is not expensive for what it offers, however, the tickets are beyond the reach of some people and we understand that. This is partly why we pitched the idea well over a year ago, well in advance to let people save up and prepare. I hope this above offer of support can assist some of you to make it to this special conference in December.

For the critics, We ask that you keep in mind that EGA is a 100% legal event, something that very hard to achieve if you see how the festival scene is developing of late. It is not easy to walk into a small local council (and community) and say, 'Hey, we're here to run a  Psychedelic Symposium'; with that comes a lot of scrutiny and strict requirements to do thing by the book and be on to it. Inflation is also a large fracture, as well as the site change and upping of the quality of the event in general. The site cap of 500 ticket holders are all factors that have had an influence on the event cost also, it a very nesh event and one we do not wish to grow much but we have had to reduce the tickets from the last event to work in with the new venue and Council and that had been very challenging. The last 3 outdoor EGA's have lost around 10% of their total budget and that is with a volunteer team working on the project. It is not easy to do what we are trying to do, and for well over 12 years, so we hope you can support us and work together to keep our minds sharp, the plants growing and do our little bit to push this debate and knowledge forward.

Responding to your comment trans_diff- 'I applied to volunteer but didn't hear back' - The contributors apps have not been approved yet as this is one of the last things to be done, generally in the month leading up to the conference as the requirements for personnel are not generally known until that point sorry.

For those that wish to support what we are doing but may not be heading to the conference yourselves, we ask you to support the EGA raffle - http://www.entheogenesis.org/raffle

Thanks again SAB community and I hope we get 5 very happy campers out of this thread.

( Not pushing the EGA team up for it cos it's a lot of hard yards putting it all together )

Is more like seeing all the parcels under the Xmas tree and having itchy fingers to open them and grinning like a fool :D

Hahaha, sure is, we hope to share the full lecture line up with the community in around a week, it looking mind bending so get ready ;-)

There’s only two weeks left to apply for workshops and healing at the Entheogenesis Australis (EGA) 2017 Psychedelic Symposium.

We're keen to receive some more ethnobotanical plant and mycelium, chemistry, and technical workshop applications. We'd also love to accept some more healing, art therapy, movement and meditation proposals.

Healing and workshop applications close Friday 14th July.

Entheogenesis Australis is also seeking artists to help transform the expansive bushland venue into a Psychedelic landscape.

The EGA Symposium will cover a diverse range of psychedelic studies, from plants, fungi and other chemicals to the social, cultural, scientific, political, historical and traditional perspectives.

A large number of headline international speakers have been confirmed, ensuring an exciting program for 2017. So make sure this gathering is on your calendar.

If you would like to submit your ideas to this year’s symposium, make sure to apply now!

    Apply here -
