    Germinating by the moons cycles..?

Hey Ace, I agree, there were an amazing amount of uncontrolled variables, as can be expected in an experiment in an uncontrolled environment. If you really wanted to study it, it would be a great thesis, but would require a closed and controlled environment and a few years etc... I understand that there are way too many variables, however, if you are fairly controlling on the soil, seeds etc and you undertake for several cycles with 100 seeds a day, you can get a fair idea. Enough of an idea that I don't plant outside of the cycle (unless its some random lettuce or something). My aim for the test was solely for my own understanding, it didn't need to stand up to exhaustive scientific rigour to convince me. I didn't plant with the moon prior to that, I thought it was nonsense too, but I was prepared to test it for myself and not simply accept my assumption. For centre of gravity, I was growing the test plants hydroponically, so I could remove the plants and take relative readings as to where the balance point was (then mark it and check it 3 days later). The readings were taken at the same time each day, with the same drip time (60sec) etc. This was based on the assumption that the relative distribution of mass (above/below ground) of a plant does not change over a long time frame. Again, this was not paid research... I know that there are numerous variables, it doesn't need to be pointed out to me, but again I felt the observations conclusive enough for my assumption to change. I agree that correlation doesn't equate to causation. However, my undertaking was not to prove causation of the phenomenon, consistent correlation was enough for me to see its value. It was/is not feasible to undertake an exhaustive study on this individually.... so how then can one decide if it is valid or not... by conducting a sufficient level of experiments to appease oneself... Try for yourself.... Have there been any studies which prove no correlation?
  2. I'll buy a double if there's any still up, and happy if you want to add a few extras, they'll be planted. Cheers Zed

    Germinating by the moons cycles..?

"This research sounds fascinating, How did you collect the data to conclude that one half of the moon cycle is better for root formation then the other ?" hydroponics, out-doors. and solely for the purpose to check the hypothesis. Undertaken on Basil as it is easy to grow uniform seeds from cuttings from a single mother, and they have a solid enough stem to pull out and play with. I couldn't think of a good way to weigh the root stock without killing the plant, so what I did was measure where the centre of gravity is. The centre of gravity moves up and down the stem over the month. At the full moon it was closest to the root stock, new moon it was further up the stem. There was some variance throughout the year, particularly pronounced movement for the spring equinox. Also, the movement declines in severity as the plant ages and gets larger. I also studied the difference in cutting survival rates throughout the cycle. I didn't feel the need to be too exhaustive with this study, this was a secondary study to planting 100 seeds a day for 7 months to see the moons affect. In the planting experiments, weather offers a significant variable so multiple months are required to ascertain the cycle's tendencies. For the root stock, I checked every 3rd day for 3 months. This research was undertaken in 2012 from May to October (I live in the tropics so winter is the best time to grow most edibles). Try doing your own research and report back to SAB.
  4. I didn't mean to fire you up. You sound pretty certain you know all possible things and its not really my place to challenge that. A question for you though... Do you think that your not believing something makes it false for everyone else? If you believe that no-one can live without food for 2 weeks, why did you link bobby who lasted 65 days? "How long have you been practiscisizing bretherianism mate^. W? when was the last time you ate food to defy the logic of nutrition and Science?" I did 18 months no solid food (largely water alone), but i like food - its fun. "whats going on here. can you elucidate my elucidness" Sorry bro, its an understanding that took many years to come to, if it doesn't make sense to you now that's ok. I suggest doing some research and thinking. Start with science, come to terms with the anomalies of quantum reality (maybe start with the 'double slit experiment'), there is much to learn.... You will find at the end, belief is everything. Consciousness is all that exists and everything else is a reflection of that. "Can anyone here prove to anyone else that they can live of nitrogen and oxygen alone-plus what ever trace elements they can see in the air around them?" You're actually missing the fundamentals here bro. Surely by now you've come to the understanding that everything is fundamentally vibrating, and that what we perceive as 'stuff' is actually 99.99999% 'empty' space. Are you familiar with string theory? On the fundamental level there is a resonance, it is here that the 'feeding' occurs, and it is generally from the sun. It is actually just a harmonising of frequencies, there is way more energy from the sun and earth then we require to keep our 'parts' in resonance. Resonance is the key to over-unity, check Nikola Tesla's work. There are many breatharians, you just don't know any and just because it doesn't turn up on the first page of a google search doesn't mean they don't exist. There's a whole world out there waiting for you to find it, with all kinds of cool and wonderful things that people don't believe in...

    Transformation of Consciousness

Thank you for sharing this DiscoStu, I absolutely agree that "our true nature and the true nature of the world is Consciousness-Only". The 'external' world is solely a projection from our mental concepts and beliefs. All that truly exists is consciousness.... How's your journey in integrating this understanding going Stu? Its hard work taking on the responsibility that everything we don't like is actually our own creation and that it is only our tainted beliefs that allow that to exist... what a journey...
  6. Cool, i'm glad to see this topic.... To all the people that believe it is impossible, you obviously don't understand the nature of reality at all. Reality is subjective, there is no such thing as impossible, that is simply a belief. I have done significant research into this topic in the past. There are breatharians, many of them. There are breatharian (pranic) children. I am a scientist, and to anybody who wants to spout that living without food is impossible because the of the effects on the physical body and its metabolism, then they need to revisit the last 100 years of physics, namely relativity and quantum. The observer is the centre of all, we know that all possibilities exist equally until a reading (or belief) is attached which collapses the wave function, but only for the individual(s) observing(interacting). I can understand that there is significant resistance from many people to accept that breatharianism exists, i did too for the majority of my life... I urge people to revisit Einstein and 'relativity' and then cross reference this with the following 50 years of quantum physics (bohr, shroedinger, heisenberg) before they make their assertions.... However, this is where the rabbit whole begins.... If relativity is correct and quantum holds true, then the observer is in control of their own reality. Completely. They have the power to create whatever they so choose, provided that their level of belief is unwavering. They are then, their own God. The next question is, is there any objective truths?

    Germinating by the moons cycles..?

I am shocked that there seems to be so few people planting with the moon. I definitely do it, have done so for years and it makes a huge difference to germ rate and overall development of the plant. I have done my own experiments and for me it is overwhelmingly conclusive. I've planted tens of thousands of various seeds in the drive for the best genetics. I am interested to see if there is a variance in urban vs rural, but i would lean towards the idea that it wouldn't as it is my belief that it is the gravitational effect of the moon cycle (like with the tides). I have also noticed that plant growth tends to be in cycles with the moon as well. Shoot development and upward movement from the N.M (new moon) to the F.M, and more root development during the other half of the cycle.... Long story short, do your own research, but for me I plant a few days after the new moon (it changes with the time of year, closer to the full in the warmer months) and I take cuttings a few days after the full moon...

    How are your wounds...

Dude, that's cranking... does it come with a cool story?

    free A.obtusifolia seed

In my experience, I agree with upside. I don't scarify, I pour boiling water over the seeds into a cup (filling the cup with boiling water). I have been doing this in the morning and leaving the seeds (in the cup) on a table in the sun for the day. The swollen ones are planted, repeat process with the non-swollens... I've had an incredible level of success this season with this technique, with several varieties of acacia (including obtus.).
