Ok, I went out today and took some pics to post...
This is a cutting from the same plant that ohlone posted to start the thread that I purchased as a cross between a bridgesii and pachanoi. One of the offsets off a rooted log is starting to throw some spines.....they remind me of newer growth on an SS02?
this one shows the typical growth that was in Ohlone's original pic...
This one show some basal pups...
This one shows an offset with spines starting....
This set of pics is from a similar plant that I purchased from a local nursery without a label, but he believed it was some form of bridgesii....needs some TLC!
Spine...
I think that have one more that came from the same batch of seed according to the original owner. I will look for it today and post tomorrow. I also have a single spine bridgesii from the same nursery that has much more typical bridgesii growth. I will post pics of that one also...

Hello all, I didn't realize this was being discussed until another member pointed it out to me the other day. I have been in the process of moving and have not checked back in a while. Thanks ohlone for the great specimens! I can tell you that it was seed grown as a cross between bridgesii x pach (as reported from the original owner that I got it from). The same seed batch produced two very different looking clones. I will take pics of both clones, new growth, and a very similar plant purchased at a local cactus nursery tomorrow to post. This clone is very different from the knuth. I have from SS., and ohlone's observations are spot on...

Thanks Thunder Horse....hoping its a Trichocereus litoralis. I guess I will have to wait for some flowers. That is a beautiful plant Solaritea.....one of my favorites. Also, thanks to everyone else for the input and help.

Glad to hear that Zelly is doing better! I won A LOT of seeds from him and even a few cuttings from an online auction site. He was always a really nice person to deal with and a straight shooter. Best wishes and a speedy recovery.

I agree......it does look similar. Thanks for the link.

Originally I passed right by it.....didn't grab my attention. On the way out I noticed it and really liked its aesthetics!

Hello All, I have a fertilizer question. I have tried many products over the years...from granules to liquid. While at the store, I ran by some Pennington Smart Feed Flowers/Bloom and Tomato Vegetable tablets. Its looks pretty much like Miracle Grow but in big tablets that fit into a hose end sprayer. The Tomato/Vegetable has an N-P-K ratio of 20-20-20 and the Flower/Bloom 10-30-20. Has anybody tried either of these products? I was leaning towards the Flower/Bloom because of the lower Nitrogen levels? What do you all think? All the other trace elements are the same levels in each....Any input would be greatly appreciated. Most of my plants are in pots ranging from seedlings to mature. Thanks again

Thank you.....there are a few knuthianus in there...........good eye! Plants closest are knuthianus, then cuzcoensis complex clones, SS02 clones, way down on the end are mainly hybrids.Hellooo!! and what gorgeous plants you do have there
do my eyes detect a knuthianus or two?
welcome to SAB if you havent been already
Edit: the plant on the left closest is what most refer to as a short spines peruvianus.

I wish that I could find those at my Lowes stores. I have tried like three different ones and only came away with one PC pachanoi. Nice plants! Thanks for sharing......

Is this another suspected huanucoensis from Altman? Looks very similar to plants from Altman post and I noticed that it was labeled pachanoi/huanucoensis? Either way, nice plants with good growth.....

Thanks Katu......no worries about your French, I speak it also from time to time! I think taking the cuttings after the wind drift spray incident really caused it to pup out so much. Big root system and the need for new growth.....

Looking good ohlone! That first pic in ohlone's first post...the monster in front of the fence is from malo's yard. This plant is probably one of my all time favorites. Malo has or had great specimens.....not sure if he still has them. I haven't heard from him in years.....
