  1. I don't have a problem with choline because I eat 2 whole eggs 3-4 times a week so that's another option. I used to piss like crazy when I used some harder stims, it can be pretty annoying. It's really apparent when you have a few beers (another diuretic) while on it. It can strain the kidneys and liver a bit through dehydration. I should have mentioned Gatorade or similar because you piss out a lot of salt in the body also. Still if your pee looks clear its a good sign. I know no one wants to hear it but some guys piss in the toilet and leave the water looking like coke afterward (yes piss! not the runs) I can't help but think how shit they must feel, probably without knowing it

  2. Yep, trying to build up a nice list of things which don't have too much cross tolerance for cycling.

I agree with your concerns as I used way too many of those pre workout/weight loss stimulants when I was younger and they seem to have a lot more load on the chest and heart than just the main ingredients alone. Some get you pretty charged up also, I question if they don't put some strong amphetamine analogs or something in there also. The original Hydroxycut hardcore was pretty full on and I think it actually did give a few people heart attacks.

Prioritise, I think waklerts are performing better than modalert for me. feels cleaner and more stable for me.

  3. Yeah Armodafinil feels cleaner than Modafinil imo.

Peeing is a just diuretic effect and will improve. It's a known effect of some stimulants and people use diuretics in sports like bodybuilding and mma/boxing etc to cut water weight. The problem is they don't rehydrate as it would counter the desired effects so just pay attention to drinking plenty. Im pretty sure getting the shits is a pretty normal side effect also.

  4. Cheers Zen, I've only ever tried it in preworkouts so it would be worth a go in correct quantity without all the rubbish.

Incog, hope you slept ok last night mate :)

Half is prob the go when your not used to it. Armodafinil is stronger than Modafinil. For me there is a optimal dose. too little and I don't feel anything. too much and I kind of get a bit scattered and not necessarily more energy or motivation. It is definitely possible Armodafinil is having a diuretic effect on you but as with many stims it seems to pass when you have more experience.

  5. Thanks guys, I would be keen to try ethylphenidate. It's easy to order but wonder if it's worth the risk. I would imagine a small personal order would be overlooked but our customs is so anal about everything. I feel environmental threats and large quantities of banned substances should really be what these guys are spending time on.

  6. Don't you hate it when you dream and miss an awesome opportunity during it like doing a hot chick because you never realize its a dream.

With all the weird shit going on why cant I spot the obvious that I am dreaming for once and make the most of it!

Similarly, don't you hate it when you work hard during your dream? Get up do the dishes, bust your ass at work only to wake up and realize you were dreaming it and you still have to do it.

  7. anyway getting to the bones of the issue, It is understood bad is not confined to any particular group and dishonesty is rife in many situations.

Charity and welfare involves people in need so abuse of these systems should be taken very seriously imo. Im not talking about the guy who makes a bit of cash on top of his newstart. Nor the guy who has trouble fitting into the mold our society has cast for him. I think people should stand against the abuse more to protect those in need and help genuine charity flourish.

Jox, no need to apologize for your comments, few of us here are professional writers or professional analysts. Not every comment is meant to represent the situation as a whole and if it is misleading because of that people can present other sides. It is very hard to convey our feelings through text just as it is hard to interpret a comments true intent.

  8. There is no doubt that the rich can be as bad as the poor, this is another issue altogether I feel.

Yes some people can choose to be in a jobless situation, Im not referring to a bad situation. But not all are the same. We have created a complex society which some people can struggle to adjust to. Some people aren't equipped for it. Some have had some bad luck and need time to find their feet. Those people need the opportunity to be supported minimally while they adjust. I am glad the service is there for them.

Others who choose joblessness do so because they can. They are the ones who drain the welfare and charity systems the most. They clearly have enough understanding to maximize the funds they get and do so outrageously. They are also the last people who want to give back to anyone or anything in any shape or form. They will always use and abuse every resource available due to their own greed and entitlement and they will proudly instill their values on their children.

I understand your point also Kent, I just feel these people ruin charity and welfare by having no morals and taking anything they can. they would take the last loaf of bread over a person with a true need because they would feel they deserved it (after trampling every one in front of them to get it)

NoisyTurtle, I respect your opinion and wish I could share it. The term a bad situation is a very broad and not really confined to just the examples of poverty or joblessness. Your example of someone who is ill equipped to remove themselves from a bad situation is a good example of no choice. I wish I truly believed every wrong or bad situation that was ever created was due to someone being ill equipped to see or understand it was wrong. eg. A man rather than go through a divorce kills his wife. A bad situation. Did the man find himself in a bad situation because he was ill equipped/unable to deal with jealousy, anger or greed or did he choose the bad situation because he did not want to deal with jealousy, anger or greed. Both are plausible.

Btw, all just my opinion :)

  9. Hey Mate,

I have used Mulungu, at first I was convinced it was working but over time I found it had little effect despite making strong tea. This doesn't mean it won't work for you. I have had no luck with lemon balm, hops, California poopy or valerian. Chamomile can be helpful if anxiety is the issue.

regarding your sleep some people find a relaxation sounds played through a phone/headphones helpful. You tube has heaps. streams, waves, rain, wind whichever you find soothing. It can sometimes help relax the mind more than dead silence.

Good luck Gtarman. I have suffered from insomnia for 23 years. it can be difficult to manage at times.

  10. There can be a vast difference between a person who is in a bad situation and a person who choses to be in that situation. Some people choose to be in a poor situation and still have some moral reasoning, only applying for the assistance they need. Others explore every option to exploit whether it is needed or not.

These entitlements extend far further than just money and housing. Sometimes these people surprise me with their vast knowledge of everything they are entitled too. I cant help but think if they put that commitment and determination into any career they would be very successful.

At some time or another many will find themselves in a bad situation or just need time to find their feet. Everyone benefits greatly from helping these people out in ways well beyond the scope of my comments. People who genuinely think the world owes them something and are happy to exploit anything for their own personal gain can be sick to the core and beyond help in most cases in my opinion. Im not speaking of people who exploit out of desperation but those who genuinely beleive they are entitled to exploit.

Unfortunately due to these few people and the need to get them out of the system unfair expectations are placed on all others.

  11. Franke, your wiser than me mate :) a lot of people who had worked in the industry told me it's hard and you wont get a break. I thought yeah, I've done hard things, it wont be that bad. I can imagine what they would have been thinking! Don't get me wrong its Marathon hard not a sprint a day kind of thing.

Thanks for the concern. While I do live for the moment I take these things much more seriously than in the past. I generally keep doses fairly low and really don't rely on stronger substances for just work purposes. I really don't want to be upping my dose for a good evening out because I have used over the past couple of months for work. In fact I actually wont increase my dose past a (very low) amount so if my tolerance builds no party for me!

I really want to maximize my enjoyment of everyday but I weigh up the risk of compromised health later life. Im not aiming for 80+ but I don't want to find I have problems at 50 due to what I did in my 30's. Still, compared with my 20's i'm a saint these days!

  12. Good luck gtarman.

It's a tough one because if the stress is bad enough it's going to effect your sleep regardless of what you do. I mean if your going through a bad devorce, death, bankruptcy etc. You may just have to do the best you can until the situation is less stressful over time.

Some natural things to consider are Chamomile. The dosage for any studied improvement is high so you may have to buy the flower in bulk and brew the tea quite strong. Lavender can promote relaxation or sleep. More likely I find you notice the smell of it and this may detract other thoughts. Tryptophan can help but is best as part of a good diet as a whole (which it seems you have).

  13. Reading your reply that you have always slept fairly well and this has only been happening for a few weeks I wouldn't be too concerned yet.

Do you find you have trouble falling asleep also? Do you find sometimes when you wake you think about what is causing stress at some point? If you wake with an active mind generally it will slow over an hour but maybe over that hour you at some point think of what is causing stress and this is prolonging your wakefulness.

Is it extra daily/regular stress or something more?

Unrelated, I have also seen another therapy which involves getting up at the time you wake and keep doing so until you can sleep the whole night. Don't alter the times you sleep or wake to compensate. This may not always be appropriate depending on your plans for the days you are doing this.

Regarding medication Melatonin may still be worth a look into. Doxylamine succinate isn't really something I would recommend increasing dose with. 100mg is a fair bit! and can cause psychosis at these doses. I guess it's more intended to calm but wont knock you out. It's long half life also presents problems at these doses. You may not find the same symptoms with a higher dose of Temazapam based on those recommended in other countries (if initial dose is ineffective) but both these effect sleep quality to some extent and aren't a long term solution.

  14. That's a tough one as a lot of insomnia treatments help with falling asleep which doesn't seem to be your problem. You could try a short course of Temazapam to try to re establish a sleeping pattern. Restavit is available over the counter at pharmacies, maybe even just start with half a tablet as 1 - 2 tablets can be a lot for some people. On the other hand prescribed dosage of Temazapam is generally to little, look to other countries dosage if using this. Melatonin may be another thing to look into. The reasoning for meds is if you get used to waking at this time it can be hard to stop. You may be able to use these medications and set your bed time and alarm for the morning and take a month to normalize the way you sleep.

try deep breathing techniques to help fall back to sleep

If you smoke heavily nicotine withdrawal can cause the body to awaken after a few hours of sleep. Also if you drink alcohol before bed or eat a lot of sugar, blood sugar level drops can also cause the body to awaken

A dark room, exercise, avoidance of stimulants, healthy diet and deep breathing ( as if air is passing right through the abdominal) can help a lot. Oh and don't think about the things stressing you out. I know it seems obvious but if you find yourself thinking about it at night just remember there is nothing you can do in about it bed and by stopping your sleep you will be less effective at dealing with your problems in the morning.

  15. I think doing the volunteer work will help you answer a lot of your questions. In my experience if I have my heart set on something I rarely give enough weight to peoples experiences, unless they re enforce what I want to do already! Not saying your like that btw! After a bit of time in the industry you will see more than any advice people can give.

I find the grass always seems greener but rarely is. Sometimes we have to be introduced to the things we love but other times if you don't already have a strong passion for something it starts to suck pretty quick :)

Give it a go, you don't want regrets but if it doesn't work out it's not a big deal. You need these experiences to help define what you really want to do or find the things you despise the least !!

  16. Hey thanks for the suggestions guys.

Incog, I get modafinil from Sunpharma. Modalert 200. Just look them up on line.

Fanke, I think you mean "why do you work so much?" or "can you take time off?" minus the "um" (a pet hate ;) ) But I will answer your question as to why I work so much.

I own my own business. You cant always get staff to do everything. And when you have high overheads and costs sometimes the success of your business depends on how much you put in yourself. Also for me to take time off means paying extra staff, paying overheads and a holiday. Its not a multi million dollar corporation where I work every day to stroke my own ego.

Much of my work cant be covered by staff. Think about your workplaces. If a water pipe busts at 5.00pm of a Friday who do you think will clean it up? If an alarm goes off in the middle of the night no one is going to volunteer to check it out etc.

Sell up?? well it costs money to sell up also! and sometimes selling a fairly costly business doesn't just happen overnight especially if you haven't put in the work to get your cost vs expenses looking good... Another reason not to just go crazy on staff and holidays! Who wants to buy a business for say $700,000 which earns $150,000 and spends $100,000 in expenses! that's going to take 14 years to see a return on your investment!

I made a choice to risk what I had worked for over the previous 15 years in a business where I work hard to set my self up for potential retirement in a few more years. You can't judge the decision as unwise at this point in time. Having a nice house, car and savings at 40 Vs 20+ more years of hard work seems pretty good. Im actually doing this because I hate working so much.

Im not upset but more trying to explain what may not be easy to see unless you have been in the situation.

  17. Yeah a couple of million doesn't really set you up like you expect it to. I'd love it don't get me wrong but I used to think what I could do with 2 million would be never ending but if you want to retire off it you would have to be pretty modest about how you spent it and be smart with your investments also.

You forget that things need to be maintained also. Buying a nice house on a beautiful beach is going to have expensive rates and insurance. Getting a fast car is going to cost a lot more over the time you own it.

Im not trying to be a downer, I think its a great idea what your doing. Incog has great organizational skills, this is the kind of guy you want on your work social committee or organizing your work xmas party! You can't really tell the boss what you think if you win these days (unless it's complimentary!) as 2 mil won't go as far as it first appears. Still would be bloody awesome though...

  18. Thanks Guys,

no need to worry about suggestions. I will research any substance I am unfamiliar with and weigh up the risk v reward. I remembered I found duromine quite useful also. It's hard to get unless you know someone who is very overweight and willing to get you some but can be quite productive for me. I understand Stimulants aren't a long term solution and I will mix it up with plenty of rest and relaxing!

I wish doctors would take consideration of prescription stimulants for short term needs like mine.

At the same time I am interested in natural stimulants also.

Btw: I use generic sun phama modafinil if that's useful to anyone. $80 for 30 is insane!! I got 140 for about $180 over a year ago

  19. Hey guys,

I know this is fairly well covered but I am hoping people here may have some unique ideas or experiences. I work 7 days a week and that isn't going to change for the next few years. Once or twice a week during busy times I need a decent stimulant to help out. Now I know a lot of you would think just push through but stimulants can make me a bit happier which is beneficial for my business and me personally. If no bad luck comes my way maybe I could have a modest retirement at 40 if I choose so it's worth while for me.

So far I use, Caffeine but I also use it to work out and tolerance builds quickly and Im looking for a bit more kick. Modafinil, works great for me but I like to mix it up and retain my tolerance by not using to often as I already take 400mg when I do use it. Meth works great but it more of a treat and is not something I would use regularly or enjoy obtaining. Oxiracetam doesn't really seem to do anything for me. Alcar never noticed any stimulant effect and Yohimbe just feels weird.

Im just looking for a bit of clear headed motivation, mood lift and energy

Love to here any of your thoughts, ideas, experiences please :)

  20. ^ That's cool too but I swear that's Dark Crystal which was also a cool movie from our younger times! They drain those little dudes too! Not by boring them but really drain them. Unless it is just symbolism showing that the skecsi were a boring race??

  21. Whoa......

Speaking of movies is that "Never Ending Story" in you pic there Negative Dave? I haven't seen that for about 25 years! that chick looks so young I thought she was like 20! I recon that would be pretty cool to watch again on when taking something! except the horse, that sucked. and that bit where he puts his hand through the mirror that freaked me out!

lol, im going to sound like even more of an idiot of that isn't what your picture is!
