    WANTED: Grandaddy Loph

naw.. don't worry ... most people have no idea what they are.. even the cops... when I got raided 2 years ago.. I had hundreds of lophs ranging from 1 month old to 60 years old... they didn't confiscate them... even though in my state, I've read of people having their collections taken... it might be descretionary ... just don't be a hard arse to them... and if you did get caught with them... most likely they judge would see it as a private collection of interest.. nothing more, and either drop the charge, or charge with no conviction, or you'd get a slap on the wrist with something like $500 fine.. fsck all .. well worth the risk of keeping them. whisperz,...

QLD, ACT, SA ... though I too cannot fully verify it myself... Though, I'm sure the other states will eventually follow.. Entheogen's are making headlines last couple years...

    WANTED: Grandaddy Loph

only lophs sold in europe can be sold... on ebay... peyote are illegal in many countries.. and since ebay is an american company, they can dictate anything they like where ever they want... remember lophs are illegal in a few AU states...

    WANTED: Grandaddy Loph

why do you think alot of spam email gets through email filters... ?... maybe this will get you to see the light of this simple bypass example. Edit: because keyword detection, only detects keywords spelt exactly the same... for example: button != butt0n <== 0 is zero But using that won't work, in using ebays search string.. because you want the words "cactus button" to be found, so to do that and yet modify the string to bypass the keyword filter "cactus button" change it too: "cactus button." ... canyoufindthisstringbutton cactuseasilyornot == search string finds the words: button cactus and displays the results. Dont try this, it's more complicated than it seems. Once the string is found... it is then 'I guess' the string is then compared from the actual listing against the keyword filter... but the actual listing words are: "button cactus." and since "button cactus." dont match "button cactus" ... no flag for manual verification is done. Maybe someone else should test this method, and see if variations continues to work

    WANTED: Grandaddy Loph

it has to do with filtering algorithms... a string search for "button cactus." will turn up "button cactus" hits, but the ebays filtered list keyword match for 'button cactus' won't flag a warning, that would require manual verification, because a search string is not the same as a filtered keyword match. Simple programming... but what do I know... I only have a diploma in IT & degree in Comp Sci... Yah, I know, I have a big head... whisperz,...

he gets away with it because of ebay's search keyword function... notice he always uses cactus. <-- see that dot ... or he sometimes uses the word cacti. <-- same dot at the end. If it wasn't for his stupid pricing.. he's almost smart... whisperz,...
  9. No longer for sale... now withheld from sale here... Everyone misses out ... why bother to offer a gift now... and please, no more offers... if you come from SAB, I won't be selling it, or pups to you... to my loyal customers,... thanks for the business, I hope you're all happy with the lophs I have sold to you over the years... enjoy them and treat them with care... No more heavily discounted lophs... Good bye Before Topped... The topped jourd, with its multiple pups ready for creating many clones... ... this is the item you would have received... Regards, whisperz,...
  10. Yes, it does have a variegated tendency,... Guys,... The hostility came at me first, when EG stated in his 'original unedited post', that it was not a jourdaniana... He then decided to get definitive evidence, to please himself,... by changing and softening his original post,.. I have provided a reference link to help my case, and then EG refused to believe himself to be wrong... I was offering a sale here.. but his post threw that out the door immediately... people came to his defence instead, without seeing his original post... and blamed me for being rude. He was the rude one, damaging a sale.. so I politely told him it was not worth an explaination... the can of worms then opened... So what I don't have a flower picture, it does not flower easily, and I have missed opportunities... he can see the flower from the link provided. But he grumbles at it... notice how anyone who supports me, or information relating to the jourd, that helps me, people have instead focused on my attitude because they say, it's me being rude... yah right... This jourd is now not for sale... whisperz,...
  11. sighs, I'm done here... Zelly, hope those jourds get here Will be lovely to get those to add to my current collection of 4 jourd varieties... Pity AU will be desolute to jourds for a much longer time... Oh, and EG,... what a pity about that theoretical question... I wonder what I have growing? hehehehe... lol... Only took me 6 years of experimentation... and walla!!... bye bye SAB ... no more lophs for you guys... hehehehe... regards, whisperz,...
  12. sigh,... who ever said I was a botanist?... I know I didn't... and yes, I get lot's of moolah from selling my lophs... I even sold 4 lophs here tonight... another bag of money... as to a bit of conversation... well, not when people attack my passion relating to jourdanianas... and their authenticity... being pedantic beyond the skills of a private collector and cultivator, is just not my worth the effort... sorry, but no, not sorry really... I sell lophs for a living, it's my interest... as to eating lophs, that's just plain stupid... and me defensive?... nope...
  13. Let's put a hypothetical question to you... I'd be very interested to hear what you have to say about this 'theory'... Is it possible to produce viable seed & seedlings from a cross between a fricii mother and a common variety of jourd?... in a well established and controlled experiment? respect is earned, not a given...
  14. Yes, I've seen that one... But this jourdaniana is the one you are thinking of... http://www.cactusplaza.com/lophophora-jourdaniana-seeds
  15. am I certified botanist with a heritage paper trail full of authenticity at each step... yah right...
  16. I see you ignored kadas's link to this particular loph, that I posted earlier? EG, suck it up... the link was there...
  17. you guys are sad... my business has gone elsewhere... you all seemed to over look the jourdaniana for what it is, and what it's worth... you'll never see this loph again... ever,... pitiful... and $800 for it.. too much in AU ?... for people who love lophs, don't know a gift when they see one... all you did was critize it's authenticity... considering you all didn't see the orignal post by EG... before he softened it up... you guys are just plain sad...
  18. yah, unilateral... Can't take it, as much as you give it... SAB has degenerated... all because I offered a rare form of jourd... people question it,... I'll just sell these through the australian cacti societies... better class of people... whisperz,...

  22. Me rude?... I'm willing to sell this rare loph jourd to propagate it around australia, and you come here questioning it's genuine?... and as to the price?... let me see one person here in australia show me a photo of the same jourd, who lives in AU that is willing to sell a multipup like mine cheaper?... I know of only 3 others who have this clone, and I highly doubt it they will let it go to market... Really a great help...
