Unique or interesting cacti for hanging baskets

Some of my favorites would include Disocactus flagelliformis, Selenicereus anthonyanus, Selenicereus chrysocardium, Epiphyllum anguliger, Pseudorhipsalis ramulosa. Just a few more interesting ones, but most of the Disocactus, Rhipsalis, Selenicereus and Epiphyllum genera are good hangers!

    Terscheckii hybrids?

Thank you everyone for the beautiful photographs! Makes me want to start collecting those hybrids even more! Does anyone have any pictures of some T. taquimbalensis (and related 'species') crosses? I've started a couple of Zelly's validus hybrids, can't wait to see how those turn out! And some T. werdermanianus, T.tacaquirenis and 'spineless' Bolivian T. terscheckii from a vendor, this is gonna be an exciting growing season!
  3. Thanks Hookah! This is a great site, I wish I started posting sooner! I bought a couple of crosses from his ebay page, but I'm very interested in those as well! I'll PM you.

    Terscheckii hybrids?

AZS, I definitely plan to grow them, I just ordered some T. terscheckii, T. taquimbalensis and T. werdermannianus, but I would also like to play around with more variety while I'm waiting on those to be ready to be planted in the ground! Both purebreds and hybrids have their own special charm for me. How many years does it usually take for your plants to start growing columnar?

    Terscheckii hybrids?

They are. Very slow. And grafting them doesn't work nearly as well as with other species. That's exactly the point of hybridization, making them much faster growing, and at least some of the offsprings would have the cold resistant properties of T. terscheckii. There were some Psych0Xterscheckii seeds available at some point, those plants look simply amazing and have the growth rate of Psycho0!

    Any guesses????

The first one looks like a monstrose Opuntia of some kind.

    Nameko id?

The pictures are tiny, but it's almost certainly Flammulina species, enoki. Pholiota nameko doesn't grow in NZ, as far as I'm aware.
