Hi all -
Well I was hoping to compile a group of threads regarding the famous Field cactus garden in central Victoria, Australia.
Firstly because it seems the current owner is ramping things down and the garden may never again be the same.
Id like to see discussion and plenty of photos of clones taken and grown elsewhere as well as the garden itself
Firstly I want to talk about the Peruvianus types... I have received QUite a few cuttings supposedly from fields, peruse, macros, roseii 1 and 2.... but recently got a cut directly from the garden which the owner labelled Peruvianus with a question Mark, the cut seems to be a new type of peru from fields for me.. ..
It would be awesome to log all of tje fields plants, anyone wanna help get tje ball rolling?? ?
How many are there?! -
In my opinion it´s a Matucana type, such as the Sharxx blue is as well. No idea if it´s genetically the same clone but it represents the same regional type.
Thanks EG¡
I thought this as well, are you familiar with the shamans garden Peru?? ? Do yo think its from that region too?? ?
-
Yes interbeing, it was from the front behind the bigger knuthians nxt to a monstrose cereus that's nearly dead...
It seems the same one as the original one in the closest corner to the house on the motels fenceline.. . Which also looks like a sharxx cut I got off you. ... maybe? ????

Thanks mate :-).
Thought I'd Bump for some more input???

nothing yet for me, but I think these can take quite a few months, I havent given up yet :-)

Roseii 2 pls :-)

I doubt every flower has the same potential for ovules/seeds.. . many factors would influence each plants production of its sexual organs.. . IE flowers on one plant can vary in size and therefore number of ovules, I think this would vary too much to get legit stats.. .(just an idea here :-) )...

The best game ever made was faxanadu :-)

In my garden the ones that get neglected go yellow, ie root bound, no ferts. ... most of my collection gets absolutely cooked from too much sun, but if I feed them and and give the roots enough room they grow well And are nice n healthy looking.
. If you give them a nice soil brew and regular feeds in active months you wwill see positive change surprisingly quickly.. . Good luck :-)
