  1. Just a little video a couple of friends and I threw together a couple of years ago. Not the best quality because I just recorded it from the television (I've only got it on VHS) with a digital camera. Performed by, and music by, yours truly, filmed by one of my friends, edited by one of HIS friends (overedited from a contact juggling standpoint, but still entertaining), and starring three of my other friends as well. Enjoy...

  2. Its the fact that one of your first post's was asking for something illegal.. Thats why it turned into what it did.

It's the fact that ANY of your post's was asking for something illegal. You'll find a lot of people here to talk to about botany and altered states of consciousness and whatnot, and you can get a lot of legal herbs and such by trading with people, but you certainly will not find anyone who is capable of, let alone willing to supply you anything illegal. People sometimes mention dreams they have had of illegal actions, but a dream is a dream. If you had any intention of this remaining a dream there would have been no reason to post it (unless you wanted the reaction you got). This forum survives, and continues to survive only because it has rules, members who follow the rules, and mods who enforce them. It is great that a place like this exists for us to discuss plants, philosophy and legal reform safely. This place is a wealth of information, both current and archived, and if that is what you are after, then I'm sure everyone here wishes you the best. As BM alluded to, if you have the information, you can make the earth your supplier, and what you do in your free time is only your business...unless the cops catch you of course :P

  4. If B says you're labworthy, then that's good enough

    for me.

Come and join in the fun :)

Thanks. I probably WILL make an appearance sometime soon then. :)

And thanks for the vote of confidence Bacchant. I really appreciate it.

I should clarify what I mean by standard I guess.

We are pretty laid back at the lab. You can say whatever you want, do whatever you want, short of acting like a prick (which is not something I'm accusing you of :)).

However, this laid back attitude is built on the basis of trust, and that is the strict standard I must enforce.

Pretty simple really. Most of the labbers can tell you how hard I try and keep the trust thing going, and I don't make any apologies, 'cos I'd rather be in over than underkill mode :)

I totally understand all of that. The last thing I would ever want is for this community, or any part of this community, to be put in any sort of difficult situation.

  5. ...the whole incident was simply a bit too...well..you know what I'm talking about :)

I DO know what you're talking about, and that's why I never pushed the issue. I was more than just embarrassed by the drunken lack of discretion that led to the unfortunate incident, and felt quite deserving of a banning.

The ban actually expired a while ago, and it isn't present on the new server anyway so that isn't really a problem.

I was under the impression that it was a permanent ban, but I'm glad to hear that it's expired.

I also feel I should say that the person who actually banned me (as far as I know, having heard it second hand myself) was quite pissed off about it, and I don't recognise the name from the forum, so I am assuming that it is someone from this forum but with a different name. And it's always made me feel kind of weird that there might be someone out there that doesn't like me and I don't know who it is.

  6. ...give me the benefit of the doubt and assume I am actually a nice guy :innocent_n:

Phew...I don't have to be so scared of you anymore

LOL, sounds like I picked on you recently? Think nothing of it :wub:

    Maybe just a little...all forgotten :)

  7. Fair enough. I didn't realise there was prior history. One of the reasons I felt I should say something about it is that I have noticed that you are often a little harsh when people make claims that are untrue or unsubstantiated, and having never met you, it is difficult to gauge your tone from your words. We all make mistakes. I don't think it's my place to comment on it when it is in response to something I have said, because others are always a better judge of ones actions than oneself, but when it is someone else it is easier to be objective about, so I thought I'd speak up. But like I said, if there's prior history, then that's a different matter.

  8. stonewolf, rather than repeating what uninformed people tell you, why not do a little research before commenting...

By repeating this nonsense you help to perpetuate it.

Stonewolf wasn't stating it as fact. I don't see that there is a problem with repeating things like this as long as it is acknowledged (as it was) that it is just what they were told. True, the information is easily accessible on this site and others, but a question like that will stimulate more discussion, which I don't see as being a bad thing. Also, it can take a while sussing out information on the net and from this community and it can, at first, be difficult to figure out what information is reliable and what isn't. I don't know how long SW has been involved in this community, nor do I know how much time he's had to figure this sort of thing out, but the fact that he hasn't made many posts and only joined recently implies that he could be a bit of a noob, and I think it's fair enough for noobs to ask a lot of 'stupid' questions. They only way I would see knowledge being a problem is if he was claiming to be an authority and was giving out incorrect information. Just my 2cents.

  9. The only reason I am FOR drug reform is that it is logically pragmatic and ethical. I don't like bullshit being used to push ANY agenda, even if the goal is something that I agree with. I do have faith in the intentions of this study, but it seems flawed, and any flaws make it an easy target to opposition. It could in fact be detrimental to the drug reform cause. I am not an expert though, and maybe there are reasons that I cannot see for the ratings they have given. I believe, however, that they put a lot of these drugs in an order that public opinion would agree with, to make the alcohol and tobacco placement easier for the general populace to swallow.

  10. http://www.vicnet.net.au/~mulfest/

This looks quite interesting, particularly this:

Guided Walk: Bush Tucker Uncle Roy Patterson

Uncle Roy Patterson is an elder of the Daungurung, the mountain and river people of Central Victoria. Uncle Roy will talk about his understanding of the natural world as a classroom. To him it is also a supermarket and chemist shop. Son Keith, who grows bush tucker and medicines at Toor-rong Aboriginal Corporation in Healesville, will accompany his Dad on this walk.

Meet 11:00 am at the Yarran Dheran Information Centre, Mitcham,

    Melways 49B6. Duration 1 - 1.5 hrs.

Lots of things for the kids too.

  12. This report, although clearly well intentioned, seems a little suspect in it's research/science. I would like to know how they judged the relative dangers of these drugs. Several points:

Heroin is implicated in a lot of deaths and social problems in our society, but this is only since its prohibition. Alcohol has always (in modern society) caused social problems. Heroin is, in and of itself, a safer drug.

Although rare, deaths HAVE occured from GHB, and even more rarely from extacy, but no death has ever occured directly from LSD, yet LSD is rated more dangerous (possibly because acid makes you crazy and makes you jump off buildings because you think you can fly?).

Given the heroin example that I noted, one would assume that they are rating the drugs based on the effect they have in our current social and political climate. This would (I suspect) make 'extacy' more dangerous because it is less likely than other street drugs to be a single drug, and more likely a concoction.

Unless they are referring to water, the placement of solvents so far down the list is a joke.

  13. they're s9 as far as I know. Doesn't mean people won't sell them. They're taking a risk when they do, but it's not as high profile as something like heroin, and most cops probably have no idea what they are, let alone that they're illegal.

  14. All of my FOAF's mushroom trips have been with subaeruginosa. He now feels that he would like to try some coprophilious species' for comparison, and maybe a couple of other xylophilious species' too.

  15. A FOAF has experienced this to a degree, about six or seven hours after ingestion, after most of the psychological effects had worn off. He experiences muscular 'spasms' - that manifest as an inability to do fine movements like using a computer mouse, and also tension in the face when laughing - on a regular basis. On this occassion however, he was unable to walk, and the experience made him decide to never take mushrooms in an environment that he might want to leave. He put it down to the fact that it was a day-shroom (eight o'clock in the morning), and quite an intense one at that. Having not done any physical activity before ingestion, his legs wouldn't have been ready for an experience that often makes him feel like he's run a marathon. He is glad, however, that he never get's painful cramps in his legs, like one of his friends does.

He also had a friend who passed out on a small amount of mushrooms, but I don't think it was a low blood-pressure thing like marijuana smokers and anaemics can experience. This friend just seemed to space out. I think it was more of a psychological, as opposed to physiological, thing. But this FOAF didn't quiz him much about it and therefore isn't sure.

  16. I don't know the law for bongs in W.A. r, but wen people I know ahave been busted, they get charged a testing fee on the bong aswell as disposal fee. So my guess is that they test for THC residue, if returned positive then it's illegal, otherwise it's not and u could prob ask for ur bong back.

    Same here in Vic afaik

  17. I'm one to smoke bacci bongs too, I only smoke cigis when I'm not at home. Smoking tobacco in a billy really shows you how powerful it can be..

I always thought it healthier too. One cone (in one breath) would satisfy the urge, and it would be a while before I'd want one again, but with ciggarettes, I would smoke a whole one or two during a break at work, or even one after the other all night at a club or a party. If I was at a party where they had a spare bong however, just one every fifteen minutes or so. And, for someone who is used to them...oh so much more satisfying.
