    From what i can work out here, the eye has 3 fluids that are used to maintain, clean and lubricate the eyes. Its a pretty complex system. Im thinking factors other than vascular dialation/constriction may be at play.

    I have had mediocre to great sucess using neem.

    I have used neem about 5 times now with success, it has seemed to do its job well. No burning of leaves in full sun, critters gone upon re-aplication around a week or so after inital application, and definate slowing of critter breeding. Ive mainly used it for mite control.

    I assume in this application it may be doing the same job as the soap, but also some residule effect also.

    Im not sure which brand of neem i have been using, it was a gift from a friend at a city council :) ill find out soon for ya.

    What problems have you had with it?

    Im all for jono's method too, strip the effected leaves, remove from the property or burn, clean up the scraps from the base of the tree and spray remainin tips/ok leaves with neem emulsion. I would then use apo's method of hosing off whats left a few days later, followed by another repeat of the neem. Repeat in another fortnight.

    Brugs are mite-magnets. I have a love/hate relationship with my aurea, Ive actually moved it out the front to avoid mite infestations throughout the rest of my backyard.

    But pull those dead leaves off man, they are breeding grounds for future colonies!

    Thats slightly wrong. Good quality white(very hard to find) should have high % of cocoa butter, along with milk powder, emulsifiers and vanilla flavour usually. Cocoa butter gives the superior mouth feel and melt at body temp. Most whites use vegie or milk fats instead that taste like shit and feel waxy.

    Funny thing is, Haighs wont sell white either, They claim its not chocolate, yet they sell crap passed off as chocolate called "milk" chocolate with only 4-5-7% cocoa powder?>? 5% cocoa and you may as well just be colouring your white with brown food dye.

    I say its not choc unless its over 52% cocoa, 70-80% is by far my fav :)

    Hello all, I was just sent these pics of some beautiful afghani flowers from a friend os, i thought i would share them with you :)

    Notes recieved:

    "Please find attached photos of ** cvar. afghani......The variety seems to be around 85% stable as hot pink/white flowers with the remaining flowers showing some variation including pure whites and feathered white/purple/red singles. All variants show amazing vibrant depth of colour. Height from .5-2m, 1-3 flowers/plant. Pod size noted as large to very large, ranging from barrel to ball in shape. Great seed producer......"

    We also had "Australian Studies" wich was pretty much Australian history, in both year 9 and 10. Year ten mainly delt with the Maralinga atomic site and reginal aboriginal lands/languages in SA, including the white invasion about 150yrs before. Looking back now, im quite supprised that the taught us so much in regard to aboriginal health and social problems brought about by white people.

    Next targets on this tools lists are the CWA (Country Womens Association), Borders books, Bunnings, garden centres and home brew shops..... Seems like you can pick up all your books and info on making brownies and any drugs(inc alkihol) at these outlets..... I wonder why they wont sanction these places??

    Yeah the pic makes it hard to see, in the video footage showed the plants well into flower at that height(2+m of stem), I saw the news report on this bust the other day. Some huge plants were in full flower, more like SCROG kinda setup.... just uuuuge!

    Why would you flower a motherplant? What a shame.

    I think you will find that he old fella is a greek or italian. This canopy method is often used for tomatoes and other fruits(grapes) and works a treat for canabis too!

    Mind you it does grow a huge ammount of stem, but as Fm said, it may be supercropped often, again like fruit. I would say the old fella knows what going on and is using his expertise in hort/old school gardening techniques to great use. We know there are a million way to grow cannabis, just the cops havent seen this one for a while :)

    As for "monster", Geez man, they arent that big!!

    :) I do have green glasses on, no need to point out the obvious, its helpfull to some of us, i dont think the post was that heated tho.. I was not directly aiming the rant at you, and if offence was taken i retract.

    Im just having a hard time at the moment with laws/people making laws and medication vs treatment, not just with pot, but a number of things(long story). I guess it just sparked me off... i am passionate by nature.....i wont deny that.

    Your right tho, i understand that for some(alot) cannabis its a no no but for others its a godsend, its just hard for some people to believe that good can come from it.... Everyone is different :)

    Im amazed at how so many people here have blamed pot or his lack of use for things/sleeping disorders... are we seeing anti-pot drivel even within our own ranks?? Does anyone have any support for these claims? He has already said that it helps, why try to turn him away from its use?

    I/we know it can mess with a few things like cortisol, but i think Cis knows how the pot has/is effecting him... and if it helps the situation, whats the hells wrong with that?

    He is going to a doc, they will only sleep test him and then pretty much do fuck all. Maybe pescribe some pills. I have a friend that has bad bad sleeping troubles, i made him go to sleep disorder specialist(SA has Australias leading sleep lab if i remember correctly) and after extensive tests, they basically said yep, you have a sleeping disorder, its not life threatening(life threatening or life shortening??) there you go. No real fixes for the problem, other than llifestyle and drugs. If Cis cant change his current lifestyle due to family commitments and cash flow, then the only way to help is drugs or basic light regime changes. Pharmacutical drugs or herbal drugs, whats the difference?? Natural or synthetic? Its not for us to deny his use of anything.

    May i also point out, his sleeping problems have arrised due to the lack of use of the herb, Quoted from Cis, "Over the years I have found strains (Sativa’s, Indica’s, Hazes) that help me in my day to day living and have no bad effects to contend with like the Perscription meds." Its not his choice to stop using his own meds, just the laws that prevent him from doing so.

    Is this humane?

    If its the docco i saw last year it was great. It really planted my feet and showed me some of my ancestory and why i am the way i am. I guess sometimes people forget we are only a few generations away from the ol pagan european lifestyle and family....

    RE dragons, Wow, ive never made the connection between ancient chinese paelentology and herbalism, it makes soo much sense now, i use to love dragons when i was a kid, but as i grew i never connected the dragon to dinosaur dots.... cool, so they wernt mythical beasts at all, ancient chinese were discovering fossilized flying dinos! cool.... way cool...

    I spent 9 years in SA a while back when there was a 10 plant limit indoors and have seen such yields.

    Yea, i dont doubt that, ive seen it too, but not with 1-2 plants under restricted wattage.. Ive seen 10+ planst under 20,000w, but that doesnt mean much... thats the exact thing im looking at raising the punishment for... not small time grower/users.

    Go down to a good hydro store and they will be able to tell you exactly what you need to obtain those figures

    Ha :D gee you put alot of trust in them it seems.. hard to find good service at hydro stores let alone good info, bikie fronts arent usually the most value infomation sources...

    I have also had friends robbed at gun point and even involved in murder as a result of growing pot

    Its not the plants fault, its your friends. Loose lips sink tight ships remember... Dont blame the weed man, thats a cop out. No one would come rippin off a small setup, and then, they have to know who, where and when..

    What would happen in the same situation if these plants were outside?

    Anyone in Adelaide will remember the odd house fire due to poorly set up grow rooms

    Ha :) sucked in to them, use a sparkie if you dont know what your doing, fires can be prevented if you use your noggin, again, greedy people bypassing ELP's or saftey switches and stealing the mains.... Just like all factets of life, your going to have the occasional dickhead somewhere.. Just like all cars dont catch on fire, Some can on occasions. For the ammount of growrooms in SA, the fire threat is very minimal. Two years ago, it was estimate 1 in 4 houses were growing pot.

    I dare say most people wouldn't have seen let alone invested in such set ups, but they are out there and that is why the legislation was changed and why wattage can't be used as a guide

    Im sure some people have seen top end setups, and cant afford them or its way too much for them, hence, they wont use them and will opt for less yeilding measures..

    Yet again, with a 400 or 600w max, will these big end guys actually fuck around that much for the yeild of a 600w system? The answer is no as you mentioned, they will still do their mult wattage, multi plant, multi stage, bypassing electricity setups. Like i said, we aint goin to stop them.

    I specifically am looking at a line in the sand effect here, no "but this - but that".. mimimum plants and minimum wattage = minimum plant outdoor essentially, thats what im looking at... superior genetics and environments control is far from most people reach and budgets(most, not all)

    Its great to see my idea taking some shape and the input given is always needed when beginin an idea like this.

    Pot laws should at least be looked at and scrutinised by real pot heads, and then present the proposal in a unified front of gathered real world info, not an ill informed decision made by someone soo far removed from the pot scene its not funny...

    I know im batlling goliath here, but it all has to start somewhere...

    oh yeah, i had mine in coco- not really tchnically hydro, but whos going to argue the point(trust me, i would :D , i love talking to judges). When i have time that point will be taken up too, hydro is soiless system in its true essence. Legal terms should be used consitantly, but i spose that doesnt help when its not part of the charge listed, just manufacture is. "Hydro production or manufacture." isnt listed.

    Ed id right about weight, fresh unharvested plants are just that, unharvested, no weight. If you trim them, as i told the sargents i was just about to do, they will then charge you with weight of pot, really, your only chance of getting really fucked hard is exactly at harvest/drying time with more than a few plants... The cops asked me if i had any more pot around, i produced a small 7g bud, and they were happy with that, didnt search further... My med reasons were more than convincing, so they were great about the removal and almost (in their own words) apologised for the disturbing me.

    Cis, if your visiting officers were good to you, it will reflect in the DPP's statment, it helps alot, hence dont be wankers to the cops, it will only make it hard for you in court.

    A learned grower could get close to 3 pound off 1200 watts every 12 weeks which WILL net them 30,000 a year

    i forgot to add 2-3 plant maximum and ive been looking at 600-800w or 400-600w maximums. General yeild per kilowat is aroun 1:1 average i would like to see someone pull 3 lb off less than a thou..

    It is accepted that 400watts is capable of producing 1 pound and reports of double that when using the sea of green method

    Sea of green maybe, but i would like to see it otherwise traditional style. In 15 years of indoors, ive never seen anything close to that, mind you sog isnt big here in sa, never has been. Where is this 400w/lb number accepted?

    That is why there is a limit on number of plants and that is why it is also illegal to grow hydro because a grower with unlimited resources and skill could easily outstrip your estimates

    Ha, maybe, maybe not... I never mentioned any more than 1 plant in my inital statment also. Never mentioned SOG, numbers are way to high to even bother with it here... not in that much of a rush...

    Wattage is only one of many factors affecting yield and by no means the ultimate. Other factors which can greatly affect yield are genetics, medium, nutrients/aditives, set up, habit, number of stems/ light, pot size, water quality, aeration, flushing, experience, temperature plus I'm sure many others.

    The factors you have mentioned are all controlled(or not) buy non-measureable means(ie up to the individual grower), they dont help me where my strategy is going, they are end user controlled variants...I need to use controllable and measureable numbers... if anything, it will force people to learn more about sound botany/hort and create better yeilding high potency genetics, that cant be all that bad :wink:

    The goal and hope is, most people will loose interest in small yeilding insignificant setups with 2 plants with limited wattage, unfortunatley we will never stop syndication tho... thats impossible.

    Frankly I don't see why anyone would need more than a 1/4 oz a week for personal medicinal use.

    7g? 1 gram/day? now dosage is different with everyone remember....

    1 well grown outdoor would produce that.

    If space and situation permitted yes, but thats not the case in suburbs these days...Not if you have nosey neighbours, kids either side, visiting parents etc... a odour controlled cupboard or small grow room is far safer for all parties involved sometimes.

    Kudos to the SA govt for still allowing that.

    They arnt as draconian as some, and the judges are quite reasonable when apporached in the right way :)
