  1. yeah with adult bookstores that can't legally sell dildos that mimic a human willy. Only other shapes/objects/animals whatever made into a similar shape... now thats weird! Yeah, the panty verdors were an absolute eye opener!! located just outside the bookshop, you know for those out of business hours when the need for smelling panties just hits ya!?

  2. Heya all.

I just love my japanese food, and jap tv shows. Ive found a cool tv show on isohunt(torrent site) involving the/my fav jap foods going head to head, like Tonkatsu Vs Hamburger and Wanton Ramen Vs Char Sui Ramen.

Apart from the crazy jap stylie of tv, ive found the show most educating, as they go thru the histories of the foods and their beginings. Including some of the "best in the land" sourcing of ingredients that makes you just dribble profusely!!

Search isohunt for "cooking Showdown" and youll find a few shows as avi's.

    Great stuff!!

  3. When i went to japan(breif visit), RC's were available at some pipe/smoker stores in the right places. As were plenty of mushies also shown quite blatently in the stores cabinets.....and posters on every street post with prices for 3g of dried shrooms and a mobile for quick delivery!!(within this specific area of course, not all thru japan!) Saying this, I think the laws have changed a bit over there too lately. I guess its a matter of how the public views the substances also, not just the users/conesseuirs viewpoint..

I must say, it brought quite a smile to my face to see soooo many bags of shrooms out on display in a big glass cabinet!!

  4. ditto. I actually getting quite sick of people posting up "things" from certain stores. Its not a case of us wanting to see pictures of what you have, rather we would like to try the unmentionables for ourselves. If people keep shouting and posting pics- "look what I got from here!"- there aint going to be anything special left for others. Think about what you put up on the forums people...especially if people(the shops) are only trying to help offer different things to our community, dont burn them by shouting it from a rooftop, your only going to draw attention to a community that has to hide as it is. We all know most of modern world doesnt agree with us, dont give them more ammo to shoot us down. All i am asking for is a little thought put into what people share on this Public forum. Nothing wrong with sharing between pms etc... but best not to advertise things, nor question things more than you need.

We must self regulate, not self destruct.

Ps, sorry, its been stewing in me for a while now...

  5. Apoth, are you talking about small red scourier(spp)? that works great too, its also a great slow-release mineral fert being volcanic rock, rich in goodies. If you do go to a petstore, please make sure to wash all stones/gravel/chips well, as they can have some nasty fine dust floating around, it likes to clog up nice loose soil mixes if not...

  6. Ok, so if you people are not at home at time of delivery, does the delivery guy leave the parcel or leave a "pickup card" for you to collect your stuff at your local po? Ive never had a parcel left at my door, always the pickup card if im not home... i thought this was standard procedure?

Ive also "touch wood" never had any prob with any type of postage in/out of SA for over 5+ years.

As many people have mentioned, there are better alternatives to normal postage, especially when its worth that much to you.... even if its not for the monetary value, its better to pay the extra 5 bucks for way less hassle and piece of mind.

Saying that, Gom i hope you can track down at least if the parcel was delivered to the last po. Then have your guy at this end go to the po personally and get them to check it... sometimes staff are lazy and dont really look hard enough till you are infront of them.

  7. Aquarium or reptile shops are also the go. The have a large range of more "natural" colours and stones. Found 4mm granite chips to work well. Hope that helps, unless your after bulk, in most cases you can barter with the stores anyways, they normall bag their own gravels.

  8. From what i can remeber(cant find the source atm) i thought the carcinogenic qaulities are also directly related to the ammount of sugars in the final product. Its not just the actives and other crazy added compounds, but the breakdown products of the natural or added sugars in the leaf play a major roll in the degree of carcinogens.

Anyone herd this also? So curing properly may also play a big roll?

  9. Well i didnt think this was that creative, so i posted it here just to share a few photos with y'all.

A few low res pics of my cat and her fav plant for the last few years.. a.confusa :)

  10. Ive found the same as others have stated too,

yep, langiformis(vars. and TBM) spikes all the time, bit of swelling and pull the rest of the broken spine out in a few days... all good all good...

...UNTIL the other day....oh man.... I was watering the plants barefoot(nothing unusual) and turned around kicking my right foot into a peru/macro. Spiked me right in the outer-side of my foot right at the knuckle where the little toe meets the foot. It hurt like normal for the first few minutes... then proceeded to swell and go really red. I thought nothing of it till waking the next morning... i tried to get out of bed and almost fell over on my ass. My foot had swollen up heaps and the pain was terrible, like nothing ive ever had from spikes before..aching to the bone... it ran up half my calf as well... similar to what T was saying. Anti-histamines didnt help that much either.

This cacti was a new addition to my garden this year... i thought it may have been a non-local(geographicaly speaking) virus or bacteria.... that im not used to...well, im innoculated to it now!!

  11. Liquid innoc can have a higher rate of contam, hence the numbers game. Contam will usually show well before old spores have germinated(first week), just throw out the contaminated ones asap. When there is signs of mycelium growing, introduce a ml or so of 4% perxoide. The peroxide will clean up any left over contaminants, as well as resupplying a little O2 upon its breakdown, kinda freshening the innoculum.

  12. Heya all,

Just thought I would share this link with ya'll. Its a decent straight forward euro cana-zine. Quite informative, i recomend you download all the previous issues also, there is some great stories from breeders to interviews with big smugglers. Hope you enjoy.

  13. Granted most find the "sluggy and forgetful" side of this herb, but what of those that find the opposite, like enhanced work, ability and creativity?

There is far more to its effects than just THC also. Turpines and other Cana-likes are responsible for the majority of the differing effects between species.. I think the whole "pot" analysis thing is half bunk in the first place.

Extracted pure THC produced those results, not whole bud including all the other combined canna likes(CBD,CBN's and other rotational isomers, aromatics etc.)

It would help if they started looking at indica Vs sativas and based their pharmacology from there. Yes, they both have the know THC, but the physical/metnal effects that differ between them is quite substantial.. Scientificaly you definalty could not use both species as a controll together, it wouldnt make sense. Thats why they take the easy way out with just isolating THC and ignoring the other compounds and aromatics.

Seems rather one eyed to me.... :scratchhead:

  14. I was actually taking about liquid mycelium culture jars, not grain jars. Both grain jars and agar plates/dishes will/may dry out well before some spore may sprout. Like i said, 1% malt etxract/honey/whatever and just plain tapwater, just use baby jars if you have limited space. If you cant sterilize for 20min in a pressure cooker, or pasturise in a pot of boiling water for an hour.

The spores can take many months to germinate when they do germinate, you can just clean up the now mycelium rich innoculation liquid with some hydrogen peroxide(1ml of 4%/200ml jar will do fine) then you can wait a few days for mycelial recovery and then go ahead and use your fresh and contam-less innoculum to bang up your grain jars.

Had far better sucess with liquid than agar for old spores...

Yep as G said, def get a hold of stamets books if you even half keen on following your new found hobby

  15. Couldnt get that link to work for me(brand new comp this week) so wasnt sure what there but very old spores can be a bugger to germinate but eventually some will.... eventually...

Try making up say halfa dozen or small 200ml jars liquid innoc style. Saftey in numbers! Dont forget to punch or double puch the lids, and tape em up or use the air-port kinda system. This time when making your solution use only a tiny bit of malt extract/honey/karo whatever.. say 1% or bit less, thats all. Sterilise as normal, allow to cool, and innoculate the jars with your spore as normal. Put the jars in a dark cpboard, maybe a few in a warmer place. Ive left jars this way for over 6 months to 1.5 years or more now, and eventually a few spores somewhere in the mix will jump to life. Ive resurected a strain from minimum 3 years old, so im sure its possible. Just he luck of the draw and maiking a few extra jars just helps your chances due to losses thru contamination...

Hope that helps a bit, and hope im not repeating that previous link!

Like the others said, give it a bash!

  16. Bluemeanie and other old skoolers... The best bit of loading up and old amiga or c64 game was the groovy beats and awsome rolling/scrolling multicoloured chromie texts back then!! They were more often better than the game itself!! The hacker/cracker intro pages or trainer pages were acutally a major driving force when i look back to my graffiti crazed youth!! Kinda like digital role-models. Thanks guys!!! :lol:B)

Who thought we would all meet up again.... :o

  17. Strangey,

Is that the red paste thats served with yum cha etc? I got some the other week, thinking it was the same at the yum cha place, Seems the one i brought was about 10X hotter than the one in the restaurant!! Woo hooo was it warm!! looks like i found out the hard way! Great stuuf tho,

And yeah, i did miss that post :crux:
