Mimosa hostilis?
Permatony replied to Idon'tstudydinosaurs's question in Plant Identification (non-cactus)
Is this a mimosa hostilis? It had white puffball type flowers before putting these pods out.. approx a year and a half old.. -
Hello Folks! I have a Lot of this guy growing in the back yard, and would love it if anyone knows exactly what kind of cactus it be! It was one plant, which spawned many cuttings, which have grown very quickly! Each of the new sections are about 1 year old. Plenty to trade/sell if anyone wants any! (effing thing won't upload photos.. Will try again, and again, and again...) Edit! Image upload success!

Not sure if it is suitable, but I know a guy who sells Hydroton for $35/50ltr bag.. Would that suit the same purpose? (expanded clay pebbles)

Apologies! been away from the computer for a while! the amanita is the shamanistic red spotty one ;) I'm figuring out mycology, and thought i would try washing the bag that I purchased at the happy herbal store out, and into some sterile media, and lo! I got clean mycelium.. dumb luck i guess.. however i hear they are 'impossible' to get to fruit, due to a symbiotic relationship with pines.. Still, if anyone wants to do swapsies they're welcome to experiment with some..

I have a spare jar of amanita mycelium, if anyone knows what to do with it!

I grow most of my veges in Aquaponics, and have always had pretty good results sowing directly into the growbeds.. I guess the cycling, washing motion of it draining & filling must help to wash a lot of inhibitors off..

Hmm, thought i'd replied.. guess not.. Hey, for the lotus, try your friendly neighbourhood florist.. Get the dried pods, with seeds inside, and hope they haven't been irrradiated, etc. The seeds need some serious scarification, but germinate pretty easily. That said, my fish ate mine, so I need to try again!

Hi All! I've had a long running interest in ethnobotanicals, and healing/guiding plants, but have only recently settled down into a place where I can freely garden! So, I was wondering.. Who can recommend some of their favourites, and things I should be looking out for? I'm in the perth area, so locally appropriate plants would be great.. My current wishlist would include ephedra, hbwr, iboga (!), and am certainly interested in spore prints, as have just learnt the ways of cultivation, but am always interested on reading up on other things!

Unfortunately, I don't have anything growin myself.. aparrently a whole bag will send you skyward, but the half bag 'under my pillow' had little effect..
-
I found out today that Happy High Herbs have amanita's for sale... $45/bag (around 1/2oz) for putting under your pillows...
