    He did survive!

    With a nice sunny new home and a bit of tender loving care he seems to have recovered quite well. Even started putting on some new growth now that spring has sprung.

    You still think it's a taquimbalensis mutant? I wouldn't have a clue. Looks like he should be quite handsome when he's older though either way.

    Also, speaking of handsome, the terschekii is perking up a bit too!

    Just as a final update to this matter.

    I received my plants in the mail today and am very happy indeed!

    Super nice, fat, healthy cuts and a couple of bonus' to boot.

    I would buy from this seller again (maybe with PayPal though just in case) and recommend him to my friends.

    If you do have a delay, be patient unlike me. It's worth the wait.

    I understand your concern and it was well founded.

    I do regret my heat-of-the-moment actions and if I had my time again I would handle the matter differently.

    As a conclusion to this matter, I would like everyone to know that it seems it was a misunderstanding on my part.

    I've just received a phone call tonight from our friend and it seems he has had quite a severe health problem over the last week and has not had his phone turned on.

    He acknowledged though that he should have let me know what was going on and was completely well-mannered and apologetic. I acknowledged that I've over-reacted and should've been a bit more patient.

    So I apologize to him for my lack of trust and I apologize to everyone else bringing up this whole issue.

    I feel quite ashamed of myself.

    I will re-edit the main title of the tread to more of a truthful statement.

    Just to clarify Sally,

    I edited out his bank details and forum name (which I only added after finding out from watertrade) from the the title.

    The mods deleted the name, region and phone number.

    [edit: and to further clarify for everyone, I have exchanged around 50 sms with him over the previous month arranging this sale. On Monday I sent one to him confirming I'd put the money through. He replied thanking me, to which I replied with a question about when he would get a chance to post them. Silence since then after numerous calls and sms. Seemed very suspicious.]

    no. the original post psyentist posted specifically mentioned pd in the thread title. and the bank details were posted/mentioned.

    I edited in 'aka PD' to the main title after being informed of his identity by a moderator of this forum [ie: watertrade in this thread], and edited it out soon after. If you read the original thread I ask if anybody knows who he is.

    I understand your upset Stu and I do see the significance.

    I only hope my previous posts explain my reasoning.

    Just to clarify.

    I did post personal details but removed the sensitive ones.

    I did leave the name, location and phone number, which were available through gumtree, in the post title but the mods removed them. Fair enough.

    I apologize if I've over-reacted, I was/am quite upset at thought of being robbed of a hard earned $400, especially if this person does it regularly.

    Once again, this was to warn people of a dodgy gumtree seller, not a member of this forum, and the details I posted were intended to identify this dodgy person in case of an online user name or phone number change, which dodgy sellers have been known to resort to.

    The impression that I get about him from people on here and my own dealings with him, he seemed a really nice genuine dude, is that he has a good heart but demons to battle.

    And that I may have been a little hasty in my accusations. It didn't, and doesn't really, look good from my side of the fence though. I sincerely hope that if it is a misunderstanding on my behalf, he is ok and we can sort it out. I have/had respect for the guy for what he has done for this community.

    And once again I stress, the original post was about a gumtree seller.

    I hope it was just a mistake or delay too.

    And like I said earlier, I know it hasn't been that long. It's just this deal was about a month in the making and he was very responsive before now. He just went suspiciously quiet when I asked when he thought he would get a chance to post them. And going by past history it could be a problem.

    Again, like I said earlier, if he hasn't contacted me in 10 days I'll consider myself ripped off.

    Is it breaking the law? At no time did I agree to keep it private and I didn't steal the information, he gave it to me. [edit: actually, I paid $400 for it.]

    He is the one who has broke the law.

    And if I do post them it won't be to recoup losses, I will have accepted it as a loss.

    It will be as a warning to others.

    What other way is there to reliably identify him?

    If you don't plan to steal from me then you should have no hesitation in giving me that information.

    Trust is a two-way street and I believe theft null and voids any privacy.

    [edit: I also believe it is legitimate information to post as a warning to others not to transfer money into that account as it is easy to change your online name or your phone number but not so easy to change your bank account. I will give him 10 days to contact me before I take my warning to facebook and make a report to the police.]

    Thanks for the kind offer Sally, very much appreciated, but I think there are others who would want that cut more than me. I don't want to be greedy.

    Thanks for the replies guys.

    I've contacted gumtree and the bank. But because I was silly enough to deposit the cash in person at a branch there's nothing the bank can do. They advised me to contact police and make a report.

    I know it's a bit early to cry thief just yet, like you say watertrade, he could come good and reply, maybe unforeseen circumstances. I just got a bad feeling with the lack of interest in my address and the uncontactableness. Even more so now after reading some of this.

    I guess I'll just have to wait and see and if I don't hear from him I suppose the only thing I can do is make a report to the police. Maybe they've had a few others about him and might look into it?

    Also, hah, dood! This was out of my tax return and I'd convinced her I needed them. She'll be pissed off, but not at me. :)

    It sucks but hopefully it will work out. Sounds like he is a decent guy mostly. He seemed cool and trustworthy on the phone.

    If you read this at all damien, get back to me and we'll try and sort it out.

Thats most of the tricho clones of the top of my head. I only do bulk with pc pach and psycho0 bridgie. Pick up is best option if possible but i can post smaller amounts. Cost is usual $1 per cm on 30cm tip cuts. Some clones may not be available due to previous sales. Lophs have been overwintered and only just had their first watering so still waiting for some to plump up. Some grafted plants are ok to go

    I arranged to buy some plants for $400.
    I sent the money by bank transfer Monday and have not heard from him since. He has not even asked for my postage address. None of my texts have been replied to and when I've tried to call his phone has been turned off.
    The ad I replied to has been removed but he has this one up at the moment...

    I don't think he was having a go at you man.

    I took that he was implying that it sounds like the seeds you were referring to are of a sexual nature.

    I got quite a chuckle out of it myself. :)
