  1. Hey guys

my howling cloud album is finished, you can download from bandcamp for free if you like

This is a piece of work inspired by the exploration of my self and my place within the land, the plants and the plant people have been a big part of this also, so thank you :)

Stay tuned for a limited release on cassette brought out by the Virginia based label Custom Made Music, if you're into collecting tapes

    https://howlingcloud.bandcamp.com/

    Thank you!

EDIT: Tapes now for sale through the bandcamp page for $5 plus postage. if you were one of the generous folks who paid good dollars for the download, contact me for a discount!

    thanks again

  2. i cant seem to find any prices or anything...i'd be interested in experimenting with humates in home garden, smallest bag would be good, how much and which product would u recommend?

i've also been told that humates can be added to a herbicide spraypack greatly reducing the amount of herbicide required, and reducing the negative effect on soil microbes...know much about this at all?

    cheers

thanks dionysus, embed attempt above ?

haha bullit, im only half sorry i made your strange day stranger :P

thanks TI. yeah no laptop used here, mostly tweaking synths n fx pedals, a loop pedal, some other noise makers and an old sampler. some sequences were pre-conceived, some i made up on the spot.

  4. hey guys

been practicing with my live setup recently, here's a couple of one-take recordings if you'd like to check them out

the first is loosely based around one of my newer tracks, the second is purely improvised meanderings

if anyone has worked out how to embed, please do let me know :P

    thanks!

  5. yeah guinea fowl are meant to be the best animals for controlling ticks

i recommend getting yourself and your companion one of these

    https://miteyshield.com.au/

i'm a literal tick-magnet, and ive found these devices to be very effective despite being extremely skeptical at first. i've still had the occasional tick when using them, but i've tested them in areas where workmates are getting covered in them and i come out almost clean. often i feel the tick bite when back in the car, possibly when the car vibrations interfere with the frequency of the device.

  6. yeah im yet to find a good (simple) method to get interesting results in water but i'll work it out someday

this was an up-turned amp with drum on top playing synth at high volume

one day i'll make an apparatus specifically for this purpose to improve the results, keeping an eye out for old speakers at the dump...

I could def use a few more lives to play also :P

  7. I can't seem to embed or even post a link anymore ??

anyway, there's a facebook page now if any facecrackheads would like to like :P

    www.facebook.com/invisibleprism

I'm also working on some material for the next release, some tracks that will appear on it in some shape or form can be found by clicking on the soundcloud link in my sig - set called "tracks intended for upcoming release"

    cheers :)

  8. nice work man, keep us all updated, I'd be keen to pitch in on a working bee one day, maybe rally a few sab heads for a long weekend or something...

if going for building approval, or even if not but concerned u may be affected by building approvals one day, good to take photos of joints, footings, load bearing points etc as much as you can because the more evidence u can supply that the building is solid the better.

  9. yeah I get this a lot, particularly when im in a creative/connected phase of life it seems. 11s and 23s for me

Robert anton Wilson has written some great books about this kind of phenomena

recently finished a couple of tracks that happened to be 11:11 long. that was track 1 and 2 of the ep. then track 3 finished up at 5:33...5+3+3 =11

then the other night one of the tracks was on the radio at 11:23, or 23:23

just as an example....I don't have any solid beliefs about it, it's just a sign to me that 'shit's getting weird again' haha

  10. thanks fellas

yeah mutant i play the didj in that track, not sampled

big didj's do tend to be harder to play in my experience, there's generally less back-pressure, you have to force the breath harder and so it can be a bit exhausting.

i an definately open to colaborations, i'd love to throw some ideas back and forth with different musos...

however i must say at this point in time i am most likely going to be very slow at getting onto it

i've just moved house, so been spending a lot of time in the garden, building chicken runs etc...and my music making has been put on the backburner

just yersterday i finally set up a table with my recording gear on it, so hoping to get back into the swing of it all soon

i've got so many almost finished projects that i feel like i should be finalising those before i start much else...so in short, i would like to colaborate but dont hold your breath, i really should be getting some shit finished in the limited time i have for music at the moment. that said, u can def send me some stuff and i can sit on it and who knows, maybe it'll inspire something spontaneous...

  11. news update in the howling cloud camp...

got a track released on the latest New Weird Australia compilation, u can download or stream it for free here

    http://newweirdaustralia.bandcamp.com/album/rural-regional-remote

also worth checking out many of their other free releases if you want to hear some new music. i've followed them for quite a while and am amazed with the high standard of music coming from the australian underground / experimental world.

  12. Haven't heard of the Arion pedals but will look into them

The apc sounds perfect for me to learn on I might get one of those, cheers. Housing the circuit bent instruments into new and interesting things is something I'm very keen to do. I'm actually planning to combine toy instruments and fx pedals into one console so it makes a kind of one-off unique instrument to use.

I have been wondering what parts of other electronic devices are useful to scavenge from the dump? Ie, can any old volume knob be used as a potentiometer for non-volume effects? And how do I recognise useful parts like resistors n whatnot (btw please ignore any questions that are too broad, I'm an absolute electronics noob and understand I should be doing more of my own research) or are they all different in appearance...
