"anyone else had or heard of things like this?" lol yes i've had a very similar thing occur, i was laying on my bed in darkness, i was taken to a tribal scene from the past where there were old indians chanting and screaming by a fire, tongues flailing about all over the place. i entered the body of one of these old men and saw the other men through his eyes. in the moments that i was aware of my body i could feel it jerking around on the bed in time to their drums as if dancing, but most noticeably was my tongue uncontrollably rolling and flicking around in and out of my mouth, it felt very serpent-like and in the visions it appeared to be about a foot long and pointed. *schnip* like hyphalknot i've also found that i tend to need less to get just as far these days - but maybe it's because we're already half way gone haha. i would agree that mushrooms can be and are sometimes indistinguishable from dmt, i can get that 'cellophane rip' sound from both too, but i dont seem to need the huge amounts others do. so i havent given much attention to mckenna's heroic benchmark but no doubt higher doses would be needed when you're taking them weekly (as i believe he was)

my understanding of the logos was that it is more or less the voice of (or an intermediate of) god and not necessarily the embodied kind, but that was the McKenna brother's intention, to embody in order to replicate the voice and have it manifest in some way on 'this side'. but im a bit out of touch with mckenna's ideas as it's been a while since i read them, so im not sure! i can relate in some ways with experience i think. i've definitely had times where i feel the Rambler take over and speak at length with seemingly perfect clarity about a variety of topics, but im not so positive it would be perfectly clear to the listener unless they were very much in tune with my train of thought (possibly while altered too). for me the most striking or unusual quality of my words at those times has been the poetic structure and flow and a 'sharpness' to my sense of humour which allows me to laugh endlessly at my own spontaneous riddles! i didnt really attribute these type of experiences to the logos, but i do experience quite often what i call the Celestial Orchestra - the most intricate, moving, beautiful classical-music-from-the-future type music i've ever heard in my life playing in my head. i'm sure i've heard others describe something similar too - it sounds impossible to replicate by any humanly means, but is also the source of every great piece of music conceived, as if they are just glimpsed fragments of this Pure Music. it isn't so much surprising it would appear this way tho as music has always had a huge impact on me one time i have tried humming/signing with it, and it does feel as if my voice frequency wavers around until it 'locks on' to the correct channel at which point i no longer feel like im singing to it but my voice has become a projector for one of it's layers. i cant comment objectively on what my voice sounded like at that point however i felt as if i had the flexibility to make sounds that normally would be difficult or unnatural. the interaction with the visual aspect is very significant also however i'm a bit lost for words trying to desribe the relationship - the music is creating the visions and the visions are explaining the music, or something ?? anyway, at one point i had considered that music to be the logos that mckenna described, music as a pre-language state of communication, and it inspired me to make music until the day that i've brought it back perfectly, which is seemingly impossible but i like a good challenge. these days i'd hesitate to call it the Logos because i'm not positive im experiencing the same thing as what mckenna meant by it, but this is probably the closest i've felt to having 'tapped' and channeled such a source hope there's something worthwhile in there anyway. and just for the record, i enjoy reading most of Vert's long-winded rants

yeah i'd have to say my last woodford experience matches up pretty nicely with Verts description, although that year i decided not to hand over oodles of dollars and found it pretty darn easy to sneak in and out of the festival under a fence, so there was an upside i used to love it, thought i was just becoming jaded these days... just got a message from a friend who's there this year "bailed on woodford, not feeling it. back in tweed, got any better ideas for NYE?"

there's actually a 'Location' and a 'Climate & Location' field in the options so there is a bit more space available there. i noticed this because i had the same info in both and it appeared twice over there <---

should we make it an official going away party for jono too ? i emailed loonys and directions to the event aren't going to be released until a couple of days before hand but the location has been described as being "within an easy 2hour drive from Byron, Lismore and Gold coast on private property"

well i dont have a solution but i have another girl who wants one! my gf started getting chili burn about 2 months ago, never used to happen. it usually flares up later that night a few hours after preparation, but more worryingly the next day too. at first we weren't sure what was even causing it, no burn remedy gave relief and she described it like an 'inner nerve burning' after a while we worked out that it was when she used some particular soaps the next day it was causing the burn to return. i think you might be right on with the synergy theory 0skorei. the hand soap was lemon myrtle based and the dishwashing detergent contained citrus extracts

when i was out walking yesterday i came across a tree covered in cicadas, decided to sit and listen for a while. the feeling reminded me of playing didj, and there was a strange physical sensation in my ears, like my eardrums were vibrating differently to normal reminded me of the EGA stories and what it must have been like down there the tone and sounds they make also remind me of traditional style rice rattles, or at least some of them. that particular sound may have been selected by tribes due to its effectiveness in trance states perhaps? i know cicadas have become major focus of trips in the past when they are present never had the honour of being peed on tho! sounds interesting

hey IB, you might have already looked at this avenue but nausea related to stress is often caused by stomach ulcers. explains why caffeine restriction helps too. if that's what it is then obviously removing stressors where possible is the first step, but also things like Glutamine, aloe vera and slippery elm bark can help to repair the damage done to the gut lining -
yeah i cant make it, i wish he was coming closer to home, this is probably THE doof of the year really imo 24hrs or tasteful, dark psy (no fluffy stuff!!) handpicked by a djing sadhu who's heard more psy than most of us put together, 30k system and on top of a mountain with beautiful views - what more could you ask for? would be really interesting to see the progression over 24hrs when the music has been selected by one experienced dj who's sole purpose is to facilitate the trance-dance experience, as apposed to numerous djs trying to squeeze as much magic as possible into their 1-2hr set before they hand over. cool to see so many crews organising tree plantings too! have fun Sina!! and anyone else who makes it along

it's funny, this happened to our cat a while back rushed her down to the vet knowing that it's usually a sign of damage from head trauma, the vet was really concerned but couldn't work out what was wrong with her. then i put 2 and 2 together, the cat had been wrestling a brug leaf earlier that morning and must have flicked it up into her eye. took probably 48hrs to go back to normal
-
hey PD, have you been playing with any brugs today? you could have rubbed some in your eye hoping it's something as simple as this, coz usually that's not a good sign!
-
have a good one fella!
-
ouch! i know how you feel, although the hail we got here a few weeks back was prob not as big as what you have. but i copped the damage, every cactus tip was smashed, so many leaves and branches broken and destroyed. the tips have all recovered and continue to grow now though, so hopefully yours pull through too

hehe yeah dont get me wrong im not adverse to a bit of D&P, that was more optimism than justification for not going. a number of obstacles have popped up and although there's a chance i'll pull through, i gotta be realistic and at this point it doesn't look good it was to be a pilgrimage for me also, i'm seriously disappointed i'll miss out on this experience, but sometimes things just dont work out as planned and u gotta embrace whatever the path brings and take from it what u can. i know you guys will have an amazing time, i'll be thinking of ya

very disappointed paid $100 but will accept nearest offer. also accepting trades from those without the cash, something of close retail value would be nice however you're welcome to try me. will express post on day of purchase for free please PM for offers thanks, ajna

OK THIS SUCKS at this point in time it looks like i will not be making it down to EGA. the more organised i get the more i realise how much will need to be invested in the trip and i simply dont have that kind of money. i should have started hocking all my stuff months ago, i know, i just thought if i got the ticket everything else will fall in place lol unfortunately the 600 odd i needed for the trip is needed for more mundane expenses now, but hey that's life aint it, at least i wont come back home to debt and poverty! ;) so....this means there's another EGA TICKET FOR SALE! considering there's a few already available to those with cash, i'll offer this one up to trade offers for those who are also 'financially impaired' heh. please PM any offers of course i will accept cash also, i paid $100, will express post for free the day of purchase. in the end i'm not too worried if it doesn't sell, just as long as no one is missing out on one. i'm happy to have made a donation to this event considering i will not be showing my support in attendance anymore. well i hope you all have a great time, have been looking forward to this since last year and especially to catch up with all you fine folk. next time ey? love and support to the whole crew, thanks guys ajna
