Don't quit uni if you feel you can deal with it and her/your situation at the same time. Maybe quitting uni will make her feel even worse about telling you as she see's the impact on your life even though you know that impact is insignificant compared to what is impacting her life. Spend every free minute with her and assess your uni situation down the line when you really understand the scope of where her health is at. Just be available emotionally.... always I have been there. Getafix

I'm a zillion miles from this but if it's to be an annual event I think an epic road trip next year could be in order. If I'm welcome of course. Getafix

I had a partner for two years, she was 40, who had a dex prescription and had been taking for years. It calmed her down and helped her sleep. She was a mess without it. Just got me high. Can't explain it. Getafix -
Well these are turning out rather nice and nearly spineless ha ha

Not sure how much annual rainfall you have wherever you are but I successfully grew a large Trich garden outdoors in New Zealand. Annual rainfall was 1.1mtrs. It rained a lot through winter and was very cold, down to minus 3 on occasion. There was also a lot of heavy frosts. And to top it all off the soil was clay so not free draining at all. There was plenty of sun through summer and autumn. I never lost a plant to weather conditions. I had Bridgesii, Peruvianus, Pachanoi, Terscheckii, Macrogonus, Werdermannianus, Taquimbalensis and various other Peruvanoids all growing successfully. Until you have had to grow trichs in less than favourable conditions I think you would be surprised what they will tolerate. Getafix

The perfect SHAMANIC RESIDENCE ....
Getafix replied to Chrissy Star's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
Agreed. I would want the place to myself or obviously the more feasible option of being able to get away from everyone and come back when I felt ready. Trees both small and large of various conformation and the absolute option to be able to find solitary places would be my key points. Getafix -

Brugs and Datura's flowering like mad. -
Everything is okay up to about 37 degrees celcius. From there into the low 40's shit burns.

Agreed. I have watched many a cactus in my garden burn in the South Australian summer. Getafix

Incog being an Alien is not such a bad thing(Not that i think you are). This whole human thing is over rated...wish I was an Alien or maybe that's just me looking for an excuse for bad behaviour. Chrissy your whole ex thing and your plan, well I love it, fuck tradition. You know what you want, you got a plan B which is more than most people who live and die on one idea/ideal. Your 9/10's of the way to getting what you want/need and I have no doubt you'll execute your dream. Certainly don't mean to sound clinical, I really admire you. Getafix

Well it could be any of the above. I put this plant up for ID about a year ago. It was about a 3rd the size but same confirmation. Unanimously id as Cuzco. I personally disagreed with this but more knowledgeable people had made the call. As it's got bigger I am sure it's not a Cuzco. It came labeled as KK2150 (Long Spine Pedro!), whatever that is.... Anyway just a little excercise in the futility, (apart from it's fun), in trying to id Trichs of unknown origin. Really nice plant though. Getafix

What do you think this is? Getafix

Little story to go with this as I have asked for id on this plant a year ago. A few more guesses and I'll tell

Bridgesii.

Agreed EG. Going to take it out of the pot and plant it into the ground. Looks like one of those cacti that needs to grow huge!
