Yes. Very kindly given to me by Alchemica when I first arrived in Australia to help kick start my collection. The cutting given looked nothing like that pup. No name given to me, just a Peruvinoid of some sort. One of my favourite plants now!

Yeah I know but I have a small problem which is the 300 other seedlings I need to find a spot for!! Going to have a seedling give away shortly me thinks!!

Hey Domide, Don't give up! You will find advise from people here on many different ways to propagate. There are far more experienced people on this forum than myself but I have very good success with germination and am doing the following. I am currently using a couple of seed propagation units from Bunnings which I think cost about $50.00.They have a heat pad built in that you can't control the hea via a thermostat but there are vents on the lids to control the heat/humidity. In a closet with flouro bulbs, 60watt equivalent on a 17hr light cycle. Get a cheap timer. It sounds like your seeds need a lot more light but the right kind of light. I don't sterilise, never have and have never had fungal issues. I use probably 40% potting mix (sieved), 40% propagating sand and 20% perlite.Put the mix in the trays and place in a tub of water until soaked through.Sow seeds and wait to germinate. After a few days I spray mist everyday or second day. This works well for me but just try a few methods until you find something that works. As EG asked what kind of seed, how old? if the seed is old/not viable no amount of effort will germinate them. I have heaps of hybrid Trich seedlings I can give you in the meantime until you get going if that is what you are trying to germinate? PM me if you are interested A couple of pics below of my current batch of seeds and set up. . Cheers

Paradisia was the tag on the Peru I found at my local bunning's at the weekend. Cheers -
I found this beautiful cactus at Bunnings this morning. Ideas on what it is please?
-
Ha ha, yeah, he sneaks into every photo!

Found a beautifull Peru at Bunnings, see ID section for pics.Repotted it out of the clay shit it was in. Planted all the seed that Nitrogen so kindly sent, fingers crossed they all germinate!
-
Yeah it is super fat, can't join 2 hands around it. I paid $59.00 for it. Not cheap but I was reasonably sure it was a beautiful Peru and for the size of it thought worth paying $60 for it.
-
Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. I have shopped at this Bunnings many times and always have a quick look at the cacti section but first time I have seen anything like this!
-
Thanks Michael, I had hoped that may have been the case. Will put it into the ground and let it grow.
-
Yeah will certainly be repotting it shortly, can't believe they put plants in that shit!! Doesn't look anything like my other Cuzco's,I have a few, but I definately stand to be corrected!! Cheers
-
Hadn't checked the temperature but doesn't surprise it it hit 40c, I could feel the heat through the bottom of the trays! I water twice a day as a lot of evaporation and the cupboard they are in is cool but will definately keep an eye on them, thanks for the info. I am also going to switch the light cycle now to night time so the unit is off over the hottest part of the day. There is just so many beautiful cacti here in Aus, where do you stop, aahh!! Cheers Got

I love spring and the new growth it brings, though at 33 degrees celcius today feels more like summer and some where I came from in NZ Moved to Aus 8 months ago and started my collection again so very excited to see all the new growth and the start of an out of control collection Have a lot of other plants but these are the ones pupping at the moment. Going to try coconut milk this weekend and see how that goes. Nothing too exciting here but love going out each evening with a glass of red or seven looking for new pups!!

Been using this set up with great success lately. Bought the seed raising unit for $50.00 from Bunnings. Heated from the bottom, no thermostat but has 4 vents on top you can somewhat control humidity, 60watt fluro, 17hrs light a day. Pretty cheaply made but can't argue with the results. Going to get another one tomorrow to plant Nitrogens seed in

You should see the other army of buttons (the seed you kindly sent) at last count about 30 up!
