  1. Ms Validus is the quiet type, doesn't seem to drink much, but I am sure as we get to know each other better she will open up ha ha Bog frog, divorce is imminent for sure, one Validus too many, put her over the edge. I shall commiserate by buying another cactus

I second that 'Fuck yeah".Best gig I ever went to was Tool at the Brixton Academy in London. Will be at the Adelaide gig for sure.
  4. Thanks mate, I also can't wait for that plant to get massive either. I already have a picture in my head of when it is 3mtrs tall, multi branched and covered in the gnarleist spines!! That plant definately calls out to me!!
  5. Mate, that sucks big time. Hope you can salvage a lot of your plants, even if it means taking cuttings and starting again. Good luck
  6. The Lophs are about 8 or 9 months old. There is a few different varieties in there of which I have no idea which is which!! When they get bigger I am sure to be asking for id's on them

  10. I was given this cutting which I cut and turned into three plants. I thought it was a Pach but now not so sure, well at least think a mongrel of some sort! All pieces growing about the thickness of a nice Bridgesii. An unusual deep shade of green, very fine spines and quite defined ridges. What do you think? Cheers Getafix

    Taquimbalensis and Validus

Okay well if you had a couple seeds you wanted to part with I would happily do a deal with you! I have a reasonably large property here that I have already filled with cacti. I know in the future I will be getting rid of many of my plants so I can continue to fill the garden with special plants. I guess this is the evolution of the garden of an obsessed cactus gardener with limited space!! Oh to have a hundred hectares and never have to get rid of a plant!!

    Taquimbalensis and Validus

I can imagine the size of your collection and the logistics involved in moving it seasonably!!! I fell lucky to be living in a climate where the plants go into the ground and they 'mostly' cope with the weather apart from the fucking 45 degrees days!!

    Taquimbalensis and Validus

Hey EG, Yeah, I agree. Have tried growing both from seed several times with zero germination, must have been ancient seed!! I have never even seen a Validus in the flesh. I had a large Taquimbalensis in NZ which is with another member here, it was a beast, as thick as my thigh! Cheers Getafix

  22. Some pics of my seedlings from the Connoisseur give away, coming along nicely. Hope there's some freaks in there! Once again, thanks Nitrogen.
  23. All this generosity shown here lately has made me come over all warm and fuzzy so I am going to give away 24 pach x psycho0 seedlings to whoever wants them. If you want any they come in lots of 3 so the first 8 people in can have them. I am sorry I would love to give one to 24 people but unfortunately I don't have the time to package and post. Obviously if anyone takes 3 and wants to forward any on, absolutely, go for it. Will be sent out in the next 2 weeks, probably sooner. Will pm once in the post A few pics below of the seedlings. The flash seems to have added a radioactive hue but I can assure you they are all okay. Cheers Getafix GIVEAWAY IS CLOSED. THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST
