its good to see that your putting alot of work into to growing cacti. Its hard to find someone who puts that much work in but like thay said keep it a bit more simple than that. All I usally do is plant them in a small pot, water, place a bag on top and spray it with some black paint to keep it warm and keep out the sun.

Im looking forward to growing a new crop of poppies this year but I know what your talking about when it comes to seedlings dieing after thay germinate' all I do now is start them in pots and plant them into the ground when their big unuf to defend themself against nature.

I had to wait for ages live by also make sure thier arnt to many leaves on thier (that is you have any) because it slows down root groth.
