Hi niggles, yes the oranging around the pups was there when i got it, the seller said that it was nothing to be concerned about, that the pups would outgrow it, the orange stuff hasnt gotten any bigger but the pups have definately grown, when i first got the plant , the pups were covered in the orange, now as you can see, the pups have become green and the orange is more around the base, the white stuff on the main button, i think is a build up of minerals, it is definately not scarring, hope this sheds some light, cheers

Hi, i was curious to know if this specimen has any little pests/critters as there is some orange tinging around those pups. This is a 4yo plant when i bought it of the seller about 12 months ago. he told me the orange bits were just part of th pups , and they would grow out off but after looking at some other threads on this forum ,im thinking maybe spider mite . Youre input is priceless and i dont know what particular species of loph this is either , tahnks guyds , and Happy New year to all B) B) B)

Has anyone investigated which fertilisers may be best for cacti?
nature healer replied to MagicalMedic's topic in Cacti & Succulents

nature healer replied to MagicalMedic's topic in Cacti & Succulents

do you know if they are a species as a result of human interference, i.e cloning/cross breeding, or do they occur naturally in nature,.
-
yeah i wasnt sure whether a brigdesii pup had been grafted onto this plant, seems strange that one segment is ribbed with spines and the other segemnt are smooth, but i guess if it is a TBM then it is a mixture right?
-
Hi, just wondering if this is a clone A or B and also why it has a ribbed segment with spikes and the other segments are smooth, i recently purchased this one so any feedback, tnx
