    Acacia Phlebophylla DMT

You do know that the DMT extracted from acias is not NN DMT of the Terence McKenna elves variety but 5meo DMT ? which is considered by the wider psychedelic community to provide a much lesser experience, will not get you to elf land or the dome and is not anything like the NN DMT used in Ayahuasca brews using p viridis.
  4. in my experience the chances of finding an authentic shaman as a tourist is like looking for a needle in a hay stack, most of them are rascals, and you drink a lot of swill before you find decent yage.
  5. I'm still getting over and processing the deepest mushroom trip I had, and that was many moons ago, I still indulge but never with the same level of confidence I had before the 8 dry gram ass whooping I got and never in the higher doses that I always loved before. I am still struggling with it and am disappointed with myself in some ways when I chicken out of mushrooms out of total fear and anxiety, I have never understood why it seemed to turn on me the way it did, yes some valuable insights and lessons were learned but it did seem overly harsh and has left somewhat of a hole in my psychedelic life. does that make sense ?

    My Banisteriopsis caapi died.

ok cool, thanks heaps, its still bendy so fingers crossed it will come back.
  9. Well, i think it's dead, I got it as a cutting in a small pot, it grew pretty vigorously for a few months, then I re-potted it into a larger pot and it still was looking healthy and lush for a few months after that. Now all the leaves have dropped off, its been like this for a couple of weeks, have I killed it ?

    Terence McKenna

I love the Bard McKenna, not because he was a great philosopher or radical brilliant scientist, but because he was a poet, a rascal who liked to take mushrooms and smoke heaps of pot and found a way to do that on his own piece of paradise in Hawaii, all by writing a few entertaining crazy books and giving a bunch of highly out there talks and enthralling his followers with the magic of a good story well told.. He never took himself seriously and constantly advised other to do the same, to take his ideas with a pinch of salt, all he hoped to do was inspire people to go out and have their own experiences, to drop the conditioning of culturally sanctioned beliefs and make you own experience and conclusions your primary ground of being, and in my opinion that is great advice. He was one of the people who helped me to grow up, to open my mind and my heart to an infinitely bigger picture of reality than I had ever imagined was possible and for that I thank him and offer a toast to his memory. But as far as using any of his ideas to base my own metaphysics or spiritual philosophy on, well that's just crazy and not what he was trying to sell, the people who make McKenna or anyone else into their own personal guru do so by their own reasoning, it's their choice,, People give the guru spiritual authority by insisting to themselves that the guru has it, McKenna was nuts, and that's what made him so great, he gave us all permission to be a bit nuts, without feeling guilty about it. If I had to recommend a philosopher that would provide someone with a good grounding of ideas and a foothold on gasping their own mind I would point them towards Alan Watts, One recent and interesting fact that has come out about Terence and a fact that in some ways rocked many of his followers is the revelation through Dennis McKenna and Kat Harrison that Terrence actually stopped taking all psychedelics in 1988 after a really bad mushroom trip that just ripped him to shreds, but the bills needed to be paid, the lecture tours were sold out so Terence continued to deliver the schpeel but his heart was no longer in it the same way, and this in fact was a thing that privately tormented him in the final decade of his life, he was still the showman, but he had lost faith in the show. lorenzo at the psychedelic salon released a talk from elsalen that was held recently where this was discussed in some depth. the podcast is here.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9azkhnLMVp8

    brisbane meet 15 september

I should try and get around to spending more time interacting on this forum, I joined some time ago but have been a bit lost in my own world for a few months. I live in Northern NSW, couple of hours south of the border, about 5 hours from Brisbane, maybe a bit less time now they have done a few upgrades on the pacific highway I gues, furthest north I've been for a couple of years now is the gold coast, I've been a bit of a hermit. Point is, I'm about ready to come out of my shell again and feel the need to step outside and "find the others". So even though it's quite a drive, I am seriously considering making the effort and coming to this Brisbane meeting (which is now tomorrow - so I am totally acting on last minute impulse. My partner and I walked away from the corporate mainstream culture a few years ago and have been focused on surviving with our own food growing and participating in the capitalist system as little as is possible when you have a teenage daughter in high school (now TAFE) and 4 cats to feed I left the building industry and just sort of dropped out and have been slowly eroding my savings as I expanded my consciousness and my partner is a primary school teacher and is the driving force behind our veggie garden. way too much to explain here and now but I guess what I am doing is reaching out to the local (ish) community for some social contact with like minded people. Would we be welcome to just turn up at the Brisbane get together ? (even if we don't make it tomorrow it would be good to plan on making it next month). Are there any meetups or community events that happen in NNSW ?

gold tops picked today in nnsw

Yeh I did think about how I could have pulled em out better right after I had pulled them, but it was a stealth attack, I had to leap over a fence at the side of a main road so I didn't have a lot of time to be scientific, I would have liked to have taken photos in situ and stuff. but my heart was pumping lol. Now I have a dilemma, cos I really want to eat them right now tonight but it's not the right day, set and setting are all wrong, so I have them in a paper bag, but I don't know how much potency they will lose over a week in a dark dry place. I have read that the fresher they are the stronger they are, and I was tempted to just down them right there in the field, but age and wisdom prevailed. Also, the last time I found similar specimens I waited for about 3 days then ate them and they were really really strong, I was surprised actually at the intensity of the visuals, definitely heaps better than acid. So what are your opinions on how much potency they lose in a few days ? thanks webby
