    Interstate Cactus & Quarantine.

WAIT.... You guys can't even ship some plants to each other within your own country?! I knew AU/NZ had some crazy harsh import laws, but I had no idea it applied to anything on its own soil.

Thank you so much! It's exciting to get someone literally on the other side of the world interested in this! Are you able to get the brands of soap I listed in Australia? I will get you package out today if I can make it to the post on time. If not it will go first thing tomorrow!

Not sure what that is, I'm in the states? I've got a few shows coming up but nothing big. That's the purpose! It's a hell of alot of fun, especially once people gather and you get the hang of it.

    So I make these bubbles...

It's not just a business man, it's a hobby I love to share with people. The reason I make the sticks is because people always asked where I got mine and I figured I might as well make some extra if it would inspire more people to blow them! A really basic bubble solution is: 2.88L Distilled water (this makes a difference) 240ml Blue Dawn complete dish soap 30ml Glycerine The mix I personally use requires sniffing out something on the internet called J-Lube (I include enough of this for 4-5 batches with my sticks). 5.76L Distilled water 580ml Blue dawn complete 120ml Dawn manual pot&pan 60ml Glycerine 2.5ml Powder J-Lube 135ml Generic sex lube This one is a more delicate process. Heat the water to a near boil, then slowly add j-lube while stirring. Continue stirring while adding glycerine and lube. Mix in soaps last. When you add the soap be careful not to create much foam at the top, its not good for your bubbles. Have fun! edit: I'm in US and I have the oz/cup conversions for these if that would help just ask. I think the rest of the world uses metric. Silly Americans!

    So I make these bubbles...

These things have given me hundreds of hours of enjoyment. I take them to all music festivals with me, teach neighborhood children how to do it. I mean who doesn't love a freaking bubble right? Why not wrap soap around air. These are all handmade by me from paint and trees, they're also guaranteed to be waterproof. Thanks for looking at my store! Here are some videos showing what they can do: [Daytime bubbles]( )[Nighttime bubbles]( )[At the park]( )If any of you are realllly interested I handmake sticks to do this at home. All the sticks come with an easy bubbles solution recipe and are totally waterproof. Here's my etsy store: http://www.etsy.com/shop/mrcon41?ref=si_shop

    A quest into grafting.

Thanks! The monstrose in the white pot is one I picked up from the local home improvement store. Cereus forbesii monstrose that is. That poor thing came in a 2" pot and was so rootbound that I'm not sure there was any dirt at all in the pot! I had him alongside a Pilocereus but just gave him his own pot today and gave him some food. He should take off nicely. Also, I have a set of 15 pereskiopsis on the way from a reputable man in the states here. Peyotepink has sparked my interest into hydroponic peres with a trich on top. That's far down the road though. I dove in head first. I love these prickly fellers!

Also! Quest #2 I'm thinking a couple of these branches are ripe for horizontal areole grafting for me seedlings. Anyone got any experience?

    A quest into grafting.

I just retrieved some of my PC pach's that had been staying with a friend for the summer months. And well we had an accident getting out of the car... I have this very etoilated branch that has an INSANE root system attached to it. I've decided that it's getting its own pot, getting chopped down to a few inches, and some lucky sucker is getting grafted to the top: This is what it looks like after trimmed up, I'm going to let it callous at this size: Before her wounds callous and I pot her up, I'd like to get your opinions on what I should do with such a star pupil (no pun intended). Option A: Let it grow its own genetics and grow a fat log from where she's cut. It's a PC though Option B: Graft this Bridgesii pup to the top of it: Option C: Find a nice Astrophytum or Aztekium on eBay and try my luck with one of the slow growers. Any input or ideas would be lovely guys! I caught the cactus bug and well, once these seedlings start growing up you'll be seeing alot more of me around here. You guys are great. More babies!!!: Family!:

    Fungi Contamination

Never a shortage of wisdom around these parts. I ignored the mycelium I was experiencing a few weeks ago with my seedlings and they came away fine. Reduced humidity, increased daytime temperature and it went away with no harm to my T. Bridgesii seedlings yay!

    7 puppys

Wow that's amazing. Are you using any special nutrients or horomones? That puppy is going crazy!
  15. davidbowie

    Oh no! Mycelium!

Using a 1/1/1 mix of sand/perlite/miracle grow cactus soil. Washed sand and microwaved soil before germination.
