Very nice pictures to help others with identification, it is often so hard to find good closeups when trying to ID plants.

i should add this would be for larger scions whereas every guide or discussion i can find is O. compressa. Which is handy as i have a crapload of them growing around here already

I read a bit about opuntia and i would assume that due to the vascular tissue being so close to the edge and this being the limiting factors of opuntia graft that larger varieties would probably be best. This is purely hypothetical though

Mine are growing so slow at the moment i am thinking i may have pricked them out too early, what conditions are you keeping yours in? under the light deck or in the hot-house ?

yeah i have both catnip and catmint it looks a little like them. but i bought mine as mature plant this one didn't make it through moving

my mimosa are getting so tall now like 1.5m straight up. should i prune them to get them to go bushier ? or i was thinking tying it down to do some LST like on ye olde cannabis

i wasn't aware the gollum were actually a sub of ovata. I love te dimples in the tips of them. Should see my monster ovata i have out front now its huge !

yeah its pretty cool, even after i raped it by resizing in paint the quality is still ok

hehe yeah i just got a few of these myself for my last lot of packages i sentoff. I thought the amanita was very appropriate. Much more interesting than the royal family ones i had before

hey man i have pretty much 100% strike rate from leaf cuttings, the last lot were left alone for 2 weeks thru winter though >.> so i kind of expected to lose them. I might just end up buying an established plant but i like to try and trade to get them first !

thats one helluva beasty nexus, care to share some leaves with me ? i recently lost my nexus leaf cuttings when i went on holiday and would love to get one going ! Can trade or cash upto you !

i use my oild fluoro green pots for plant tags, they are nice and cheap (free) and they can be made to whatever size i want. Margarine containers are a nother great idea though ! i like the pots coz they are a bit stronger, but purely personal preference.

probably around 3 weeks from germination, stretched a bit as i was away for one week and didn't get much water or food but now going good again ! they seem to love the hot house.

Fresh harvested ? yes please, my rivea is around 10 inches tall, has been for 18 months. Stem is going woodyish but not growing up :S
