    Germinating low viability seeds

^^^ I reckon its the layer on top of the second batch that would have helped the cause. Generally I tamp down my germination mix so its level, put the seeds on top and then cover with a couple mm of fine grade vermiculite. This holds moisture evenly around the seed in the most effective way.

Silicon Valley Reportedly Full of Stoners

The concept of it being used as relief for the fact that people in the industry have to spend so much extended time in the same position with non stop repetitive motion makes a lot of sense.. that and I find it relieves the overstimulating effects caused by extended periods of concentration and mental exertion.

Anyone ever used program called R for statistics

Heard that it is extremely powerful from a few academics but I'd imagine it would be a hard one to master without any background in coding, but not as hard as say Python would be to use for stats from a non-scripting background. Unless you have a strong mathematical + programming background, or have a real desire to spend many hours teaching yourself, I'd be asking yourself what I want to achieve by using it and then if it can be much more easily done by more conventional stats software stick to that.

What weird things do you collect

Although I don't anymore, when I was a child I used to collect computer viruses. Had thousands of the things in archives. These days I just collect debt. Weird... I just found a saddie of cat whiskers the other day. Turns out my partner has been collecting them.

Man caught with 700 LSD tabs

Still doesn't stop the fact that in Sydney some stats from a couple years ago showed a very high percentage of searches (maybe around 70%) initiated by sniffer dog detection were false positives, and then by memory over 90% of those people who were found to be in possession were carrying small amounts of weed. When it comes down to it, it's the handler who often decides based on a person's appearances where to guide the dog, and weed smells so much stronger than other drugs so it's almost a guarantee that you'll be detected. A person I know said he walked straight past a sniffer dog with a . or 2 of boo in his pocket the other day and the dog didn't bat an eyelid - but I reckon if he was still handling and smoking weed on a daily basis the dog would have picked him up. Another dude I know said recently he got searched with nothing on him but had chopped up before he left his house and out of habit wiped his sticky fingers on his jeans. If you can smell that 50 of chronic shit in your pocket and so can the person next to you, then I doubt it would matter how far up on the body it is when it comes to sniffer dogs... though that info might be handy when it comes to carrying other things. I remember hearing a story where they tried putting sniffers on trains in San Fran so all the stoners united and just covered the trains with stems, seeds and bong water. The dogs wigged out and they stopped it. If only we had that type of dedication and organisation of stoners in this country hehe.

coffee enemas, are they a miraculous liver detox?

My mother mentioned once passing gallstones from drinking shitloads of olive oil and lemon juice. Didn't think that shit really worked...

    cloud storage

I use Ubuntu One mostly, and also have a Dropbox account. Ubuntu One integrates into my OS's file manager, and it is available for other OS's including smartphones. Best thing to do is just use cloud storage it for your important documents folder, and never hurts to have a thumb drive backup as well.

Man caught with 700 LSD tabs

Hell to the fuckn yes!! Such a risk I would NEVER have taken with a trafficable amount of paper. Been wanted to develop a Sydney Sniffer Dog Watch smartphone app for ages... be nice to know on the way home not to get off at Newtown station with that spliff in the pocket.

Pest control inside greenhouse - Advice needed

Just wanna add from previous experience that fungus gnats are one to look out for in greenhouse environments when humidity gets high. Those things sure can breed quickly, which also leads to developing immunity to pesticides really quickly... females lay hundreds of eggs which hatch in under a week, and selection has favored higher populations of the female sex so lots of breeding. They destroy seedlings and leafy cuttings and carry fungal spores as well.

2013 Camping Trip - East Coast - Blue Mountains - May

Re-read my post bread filter. I was referring to 36 boxes of 10 chargers. They come in cartons of 6 boxes and the next bulk step up is 36 boxes by memory.

Or put in an order from Caterers Warehouse... Pretty sure they go for around $6 a box individually so I'd imagine a decent discount for a carton of 36 boxes.
  20. One thing I have found with some synth blends is a short lived terror reaction in many people, although I forget the particular compound that seems to be responsible for that. This causes a fucking heavy rise in heart rate and blood pressure accompanied with fearing for life lol. With somebody already presenting with hypertension and tachycardia, a heavy spike in blood pressure and heart rate could be enough to push somebody over the edge into stroke. I have a feeling that certain synths will be found to have some antagonistic GABA action... no hard evidence to back this up, just a hunch. I know somebody doing research that has told me that he has recently found THC to show binding affinity for particular GABA receptors and whilst it's too early to imply a physiological consequence it's not too far of a step to think that some of the synthetic compounds might share activity with the GABA system.

2013 Camping Trip - East Coast - Blue Mountains - May

Not in Jenolan... Last year my mate found first fruit beginning of March although didn't start cranking for another month or so. It all depends on whether conditions, best bet is to follow the temperature and rainfall stats. When you know what you're looking for those numbers are the best predictor.

    Swedish Snus

Funny, I just ordered some again to help me quit smoking since it works out to be stronger and cheaper than nicotine gum. Also I have developed a particular taste for a specific brand - Skruf Extra Stark. The potion variety to me is still enjoyable taste nice wise with a solid 16mg of nicotine per portion. It's meant to be rose oil and bergamot flavoured... I also dig the saltiness which is used to make the nicotine easier to absorb through the mucus membranes. The los product of the same brand has a slightly stronger flavour, but learning how to prepare a pris\prilla that isn't too tight or doesn't fall apart into mudslides takes a lot of practice. For these reasons the portion is ideal if you plan on consuming in public as mudslides are not an attractive sight. I have also tried Thunder Frosted Extra Stark is extremely minty, to the extent that it burnt a bit at the start. Also tried General Portion, and Goteborg Rape but as said am sold on the Skruf. Keep your orders to only a couple of tins because there is a better chance of it slipping through the cracks. I've ordered maybe 7 times without paying duty, but my most recent order of 5 tins is taking much longer than I remembered from previous ordered which is a good guess that I'm going to get a letter from customs demanding money.

    Ants and Banisteriopsis caapi

Ants are usually a symptom of an insect pest that produces honeydew, like mealy bugs and soft scale and perhaps aphids. They rely on the ants to carry the young from the soil to the leaves.
