    .ANALYSE ME.

Its true There are so many suffering in hopeless agony. It is true that there is nothing you can do to help them. In this way of looking at it, empathy is a double edged sword. It can drag you down. How can your sense of empathy, be OK with the overwhelming suffering of others. It sounds like something I have also grappled with. All I can say is that there will always be those who suffer with overwhelming, hopeless agony. but your sense of empathy is so very important. You sound overwhelmed or at least your dream is warning or bringing your attention to this. but It is so very important that you don't become hopeless agony. Sound like a very helpful dream.

    2010 Sub season

1st Subs I have found in the Illawarra this season. It has not even been very cold here but we have had a lot of rain over the last week or so. http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/uploads/monthly_05_2010/post-4828-127503084536_thumb.jpg So get out there all you south coast dwellers. Its on Edit: Sorry for the shite mobile phone pick quality but you get the idea.

    Concentrations/extracts

^^^ Yeah, tea with lemon juice is the way to go. The highly concentrated etoh extract was excellent and kept potency very well, even with out the ascorbic acid. oh, the dosage was easy to calculate. When it comes down to it. Just dry em out (bone dry) and keep in an air tight jar. With a bunch of desiccant and O2 absorbing sachets. Away from light and heat (fridge). So I'm told.

Fighter 'gouges friend's heart, eyeball out'

Fuck me!!!! lets blame the psychoactive tea LMAO I reckon it had more to do with an easily influenced psyche. Violently removing a mans heart and eye ball sounds like a case of over exposure to his style of martial arts, a lack of self control and perspective regarding his fighting style. I mean cage fighting ffs, its all about brutality and disrespect for human life. He had better have been intoxicated on something. How dare he!

    Life Advice

^^^^ I agree about the moral high ground but from my experience, there is a whole bunch of fuckers that have convinced them selves that its perfectly ok to take and abuse what you have/are. The only way I can deal with these people is to simply avoid them, I dont want to get into a fight with them because they have no respect for human life. In other words, they would kill or seriously injure me, regardless of the respect I shown them. That said. I follow the golden rule.

If your cars' ignition requires a transponder key, ALWAYS keep a spare transponder key in a safe place. If you lose both keys your f$#ked, unless your rich and can afford $600-$700 and a few weeks without your car.

    Quotes of the day.

"Structure and reactivity" It is the title or subtitle of most organic chem books I own. Short, sweet and so very meaningful for me.
  10. Come on money hungry aussie gov!!! Take note, make some dosh and stop giving my mates fines, criminal records and custodial sentences for cannabis related "offenses". There are so my example but I remember a mate of mine got a record for possession of a few cones worth of pot (not even a tenna). It was about 15 years ago. The police even apologized to him but said they simple had to charge him. Apparently his hysterical mother called the cops and insisted that he be charged. This caused major hassles when he had to move to the U.S. for work. He took the risk and didn't declare his criminal record and managed to make it through the working visa process. He was lucky, his life would have turned out very differently if he had missed out on that job, for the worse IMHO. My friend and many others did not and do not deserve such harsh repercussions. Its is simply unjust IMO. Rant over

    Concentrations/extracts

AFOAF who lives in a country where the mushrooms are legal made a highly concentrated extract with 96% Polish Vodka. This FOAF claimed 1.5 - 2ml of the extract was quite enough and kept for a couple of years in the freezer. Just a simple extract, filter and reduction of etoh volume to the desired concentration (minimal heat of course). Sounded pretty easy to prepare and convenient to dose.

^^^ Great points in your post about police corruption, thanks for the link and quote also. Great read and helps to clarify my thoughts on the thread topic. Incognito If you want to see police going nuts on people with their Tazer etc. Simply download some episodes of the U.S COPS show. You know the one "bad boys bad boys what you gonna do". No poisonous snake Tazer add on, attachments yet but I'm sure its in the pipeline.

Gone too far or not far enough ?

The "specialfriedrice" looks like an extreme case of genital warts. Not necessarily an STD, though it is most commonly passed on that way. I have seen some pretty bad cases in people who have had not had sex of any kind before. From memory HPV has many subtypes. There is a specific subtype that is most likely to cause them to grow on the genitals. Some people just don't seem to develop any kind of effective immunity to the virus and the warts will spread like wild fire. HPV is extremely contagious. Skin to skin contact or even touching a contaminated surface can be enough to contract the retched things. Oh and thanks for the blue waffle link Poor lass.

    Money doesn't make you happy...apparently.

^^^ Yeah, its a shame. I gonna try and stop thinking about it or maybe I will start playing Lotto. If I won 3.9 mil at sixteen, my friends and I would have looked exactly like Incognitos' description of the eccy shitting reindeer but I would like to think I would have at least bought a house or a business so I could work with my eccy shitting friends. Who knows, I was extremely reckless back then. There is a good chance I would have died of an over dose of something. Or gotten a custodial sentence for a huge possession charge, If i wasn't robbed and killed for it first.

Of course I agree that radio and TV have and is being used to intentionally influence people for a whole range of reasons by a whole range of people/groups. Border control is a great example but it raises a question from my way of looking at it. I often have difficulty seeing how one group of people (say the Illuminati) could possibly have the ability to have such a large amount of control, in a world that can be and usually is so hard to control. Of course aspects of the world can be controlled or even maintained by humans but I wonder how all encompassing really is. I think that shows like border control and the like are often what people simply want to see or feel they need to see. We often feel the need to be social, we often feel the need to be part of the pack. Surely primary and high school taught most of us that their is no easier way to feel part of the pack than to exclude some poor other kid from "your" pack. For example school teachers have a great deal of power over students, yet I am sure most students will become out of control at some point. To me the world is a jungle for the most part, that's not to say we cant be influenced in ways that do not have our best interests at heart.

    Codeine crackdown comes into effect

Sorry, I am not exactly sure how to take your tone in this reply. I am aware of the 100mg/kg in humans thing from Wiki. Seems wrong to me or misleading. I cant find it now but my old mims (about 4 years old) said 3-4 grams was the upper limit. either way, "what makes me think you cant take 14.4g/daily" Well personal experience has shown me that 600mg/day was enough to cause gastric discomfort and cholestasis.Of course where all different but I have good reason to believe I have a strong stomach, relative to others. Sure it is not as tocic as paracetamol but NSAIDs are one of the leading causes of gastric/duodenal ulceration in Australia. So, I dont think 14.4/g daily for a couple of months is advisable. Maybe ibuprofen is safer than I thought (which suits me down to the ground) but I reckon I would be vomiting and shitting blood after a copuple of weeks of that.

    Codeine crackdown comes into effect

Mixed feelings here... I think the gov should rack off and leave our N+ super sized packs alone. On the other hand, I know people doing seriously fucking hard time for selling illicite opiate (H, oxy's etc). Sure selling smack is not exactly the same as selling a professionally made ibu/cody tabs but I see a lot of similarities as well. Imagine a world where these big pharmaceutical corps got hauled over the coles for creating addiction like the (usually) financially ruined, lower end, illicit opiate merchants, who do so to support their own habits. I don’t like to see any one being done for narcotics but it would have an element of "fairness" IMHO. That whole thing about crushing and injecting OTC codeine preparations has got to be the biggest load of shit I have heard this week (and its only Tuesday). I believe there are some who take dangerous amounts of N+ tabs whole (without CWE) but I am sure most wouldn’t last a week or two without serious renal and or GIT complications. I am sure, at least I hope, most people are CWEing their cody. Oh, as for the injecting of cody. As mentioned previously in this thread codeine has no little to no CNS effect when taken I.V. In fact it is very dangerous, as already mentioned. I know this from personal experience and pharmacology class. It may have some effect SC or IM but I have no experience with this. As I understand it, codeine its self has negligible CNS opiate effects in humans. Put basically, it has to be metabolised by the liver into active metabolites, morphine being the most notable. IME the best way to achieve a centrally acting opiate effect from codeine is to take it orally and let your liver quickly turn it in to the warm and fluffy goodness your CNS so desperately craves. I had a look at the local pharmacist yesterday. The May 1 changes where in full swing, so all I can really say is thank heck I got clean before the party finished. To be honest, I cant believe the gov moved on this one. N+ and other OTC's codeine preparations seem to sell like hot cakes. Come on Pharmacists Gild and big pharmaceutical corps, lobby harder. Your about to loose heaps of sales to illicite opiate dealers. So pull out the finger and show the gov its the big corps and industry groups that run the show. Also, to be fair. I think a small number of people dependent on codeine will benefit from the changes, as long as they don’t find a regular supply of stronger opiates. Damn, I bet there are a lot of people out looking for hook-ups rite now.

    Murder accused shot attempting escape

IMHO there is nothing good about violence in the prison system. Many young men are brutalised, killed, raped etc in prison. It forces men into a kill or be killed position. It happens all the time but is rarely reported. I don’t think many people have any idea of how brutal prison is for males in Australia and the effect it has on them. I have no sympathy for the murderous 18 year old in this case but that kind of violence or threat of violence is not spared for men who commit senseless murder and rape. It is a reality for all prisoners particularly the young and vulnerable regardless of their crime. I am sure it will always be this way but there is no honour or glory in it. Prison, whilst necessary, is a sick and twisted place that brings out the absolute worst in men.

    Homeopathy: Overdosing on nothing

I did a unit at uni called "introduction to homoeopathy" or homoeopathy 1. The lecturer was a homoeopathic practitioner and was very well versed in its application, history and underpinning theories etc. To his credit he made it a very interesting class and did his best to prove homoeopathy to us, using a "scientific" approach. One question he and every other homoeopathic proponent I have talked to could not answer was this: A major underpinning theory behind homoeopathic remedies is that water has the ability to carry a memory or imprint of a substance when treated in a certain way. Which is just dandy! But When they change the remedy into its sugar pill form, all of the "imprinted" water evaporates. Leaving a dry sugar pill with no more of the special water in or on it. There is NOTHING in the homoeopathic literature (at least in the founding and well regarded/known texts) that offers a theory describing the ability of a dried sugar pill to hold an imprint or memory in the way homoeopaths believe water does. You can get either sugar pill or liquid homoeopathic remedies. I suppose if they just stuck to the liquid remedies they could still hide behind their invisible, immeasurable theoretical properties of water but I think homoeopathy shoots its self in the foot with the dried sugar pills. It pisses me off.

    enough rain?

Thanks meanies! I had some great photos, taken about 3 years ago but they got wiped when my hard drive was formatted (not by me). I have since moved a little further south (Illawarra) and was hoping to find some spots closer to home this summer. I am truly surprised that no one else has reported finding potent, blues staining Panaeolus genre around Sydney metro. IME they are in abundance and a very desirable species to collect and study. I will try my hardest to get some pics and spore prints, if and when I find them in my new location. If we get some definite rain and heat, I will try and make a trip back to my old spots. IMPORTANT There are also "look alike" species that I find regularly along side the blue stainers on the same cow pat. They really are quite difficult to distinguish, without inducing a small amount of blueing on their stems by mildly bruising them. For that reason I recommend inspecting each mushroom collected within a few hours of picking. This can be very laborious but important. I find it makes things slightly easier when I bruise the stems in roughly the same place on each mushroom as they are picked. It can still take a few hours, but you really have to be systematic and thorough with this job. The only other thing I can tell you about these blue staining Panaeolus species is that I didn’t just stumble upon these dung loving blue stainers. I was told about them by a man who collected them during the 60-70's. He talked about them as if they were reasonably well known. So there must be plenty of people out there who know of them. In fact, I had found several great spots for these Panaeolus genre before I ever found my first good sub patch in Sydney metro. So IME, people living in Sydney metro, have both a reliable winter wood lover species and an equally reliable summer, dung loving species. At least my Nome and his rat bag mates do. So I implore Sydney metro mycologists to get out their topographical maps and find some cow paddocks in humid narrow valleys.

    enough rain?

Hi Loveandlight! My nome have never found any reason to go to far away from sydney metro, to find potent, blues staining dung lovers. My nome finds a good indicator of "enough rain" is after at least threee days of strong rain. I find that when my local park lawn gets over run with hot weather species and puff ball it time for my nome to check his spots for dung lovers. I find when the conditions are right it is not hard to come home with a shopping bag or two full of specimens for microscopy. BUT THEY ARE NOT CUBES. CUBES DO APEAR AT MY NOMES "CLOSE TO SYDNEY DUNG LOVERS SPOT" BUT ONLY IN NEGLIGEABLE QUANTITIES. What he tends to find in great abundance is a species of fungus that sems to be of the paneolus genre. My nome has not determined their exact species yet (even though he has been plundering the spot for close to ten years). Slack, good for nothing little bastid. None the less he has assured my beyond a doubt, that they are more potent than most cubes (by weight) and that they are certainly much easier on the gut. He thinks it is probably because they are much smaller and easier to digest, among other things. My nome lost oll his photos of this species but he has found some on google images that look exactly like then. The are often very strong blueing mushrooms, almost as dark as a good sub. My nome has found that these paneolus type species are common in the out scirts of sydney metro, in cow fiels. He reckons your best bet is to find a cow paddoch that is situated in a narrow valley. One that holds the humidity and heat longer than a flat open cow field does. Cow pqats in lush grass around damms are also worth a look. My nome has found plenty of ideal micro-climates in the far west, north area just out of syndey. He doesnt like to give his hard earned spots away, but has been kind enough to suggest that you check out cow fielgs by the hawkberry river (west of Windsor) also he say that that cow paddock on the flood plain of Wisemans Ferry are a good bet to. probably two diferent species in those images but that is what that look like. AS with any wild harvesting of mushrooms it is important to understand that an incorrectly identified mushroom can be poisonous if consumed. So make sure you bring a packaged lunch, so u dont get hungry and become temted to consume a potentially poisonous mushroom. This should not be a problem as I am sure someone interested in mycroscopy would have the good sense to take some lunch and H20 with them Ps.. I would love to hear from anyone who find these type of dung lover on the outskirts of sydney metro.

I think ive lost my mojo

If the infection is gone, panax ginseng, may bring back your mojo within an hour of dosing. You can get your local western herbalist to sell you 50ml of panax ginseng (the 1:2 from Mediherb is the best I have tried). 2mL is the normal daily dose but I would usually take 5mL or more. I found relief from a situation similar to yours, by taking about 6mL of panax 1:2. I felt so much better when it kicked in. Just take it in the morning. If it’s a good ginseng extract (the Mediherd 1:2 cost about $130 for 500mL wholesale) you can use it to increase stamina when partying with euphoric sedatives. Most western herbalists seem to agree that ginseng should not be used during the acute stages of an infection. It’s used in recovery. I have found it to be a godsend when combating debility post illness. edit I forgot. About 180mg of silymarin (get standardised St Marys Thistle tabs) twice daily will speed up the recovery of liver cells and protect them from further damage.

    any good antiinflammatory herbs?

Salix alba or " White willow" has relatively high concentrations of salicylic acid. It can be a great NSAID though does not seem to have the same gut problems as aspirin. This maybe because (from memory) salicylic acid in a salix alba extract are inactive glycosides and only become active after they come into contact with certain bacteria in the large bowel. This doesn't completely explain why the plant doesn't seem to cause gut problems but most herbal text agree that gut probs are not normal with this plant. A combo would be best. Boswellia serrata Fish oil @ glucosamine white willow Definitely give the White Willow bark a go. Maybe get a herbalist to make you up a strong liquid extract. It is supposed to take several hours to kick in because it has to reach the bowel.

    seeing my thoughts

Yeah eexpee, I was pretty spun out when I first found the visual snow forum. Its amazing, I recommend the forum to every one interested in visuals or hallucinations. What I find most fascinating is that most people on the visual snow forum, do not see their visuals in anything close to the spiritual/psychedelic paradigm. They see them selves as sufferers of a rare medical condition, and fear it may eventual destroy their eye sight. It is important to note that almost every one on that forum has had every diagnostic test available and no anomalies have been found. Also no one has ever reported any measurable loss of eye sight or anything to indicate it is some kind of degenerative disease. Most have also had "persistent migraine aura" ruled out. In other words, they are all basically healthy and experience constant OEVs and CEVs like the ones produced by psychedelics and other mindful practices.
