    bioluminescence ?

Not at all. It's about 4km walk from the road, uphill, though the walk itself is very nice passing some lovely sandstone cliffs and overhangs, and you find the tunnell. Take a torch (though don't shine it directly on the worms 'cause they don't like it) and you can walk hundreds of metres into the tunnell itself which bends providing total darkness to appreciate these amazing little critters.

    bioluminescence ?

I was at a doof once, near stockton dunes near Newcastle, which was a fair way from the carpark. A firend and I were walking between the party and the car and a dude emerges from the bushes promising us something amazing if we folow him. We head about 2m into the bushes and he shows us a ghost fungus (unsure of species name) growing on a dead log, about 30cm in diameter (they are irregular, sort of semicircular) glowing blue. Really made my night special. On the glowing front- went to the glow worm tunnel in the wollemi national park on the weekend. Boy that is awesome too... ain't nature great?

    My Recent Trip to Nepal

You might find this story funny. So I was (about 3 weeks ago) in Chitwan national park, in the south of Nepal. It's an amazing place for all sorts of reasons which are not related to this forum, so that will have to wait for another day. Anyhow I'm riding an elephant with my girlfriend, when we both (almost simultaneously) spot something very interesting. When the elephant safari is over we go back to the village and hire bikes, then pedal out to our find. Beside the road for hundreds of metres are heaps (and I mean heaps) of elephant turds, some up to 1m or so in diamater due to decay. Anyway these turds are the home of the largest colonies of p. cubensis I have ever seen. Seriously each turd had about 20-30 caps of various sizes up to 20cm in diameter (obviously too big to be useful and verging on purple in hue), but mostly of useable size. It was like christmas. Will post some photos if you want and if I get around to it.

Howdy folks. My first post here. I was hoping you could assist me with a species ID on my cactus. Sorry if this is totally obvious but I am an amatuer in such matters. Here it is. And in closeup I would be grateful for any help provided. Ta.
