    The Perals of Self-Mastery

For me the happiest and saddest thing in life is knowing that life doesn't last, as a aboriginal I treausure everyday as the first day and remember that everyday could be my last. Eternity is a long time.

    spiritual stubborness

It takes a wise person to realize there own flaws, I have only recently realized the same thing, It really is funny when I think about all the times I reasured myslef I was right and how that gave me the power to always be right and above people. Man I'll say it takes alot of energy out of ya to be the all knowing, lol Its a little something like this I suppose
  3. Ohk I just want to add my 2 cents, I agree with the other guys slow down WS and gain sum prospective, I like to think I am a abstract thinker I believe alot of stuff others don't and i find myself to be quite spiritual but if I dont slow down from time to time i get cuaght up on alot of stuff and find i no longer have my feet on the ground. Just a little bit about myself i used to be caught up in my idealism and putting all my effort in to my spiritual pursuits and they left me drained, and after taking a little time to find my own inner peace I felt revitalized, I discovered that spirituality has to be gently touched and approached to gain the most out of it, to me my pursuit is a gradual process thats gaining perpetual momentum under the guise of inner peace towards the world. With inner peace you keep what you need and throw away everything else no matter how compelling it appears. This stuff may not make sense but it's just how I view it.

    ENLIGHTENMENT!

I say stop thinking and you find the true value of yourself, your tao, your zen, your true self, to know what it feels to be alive, to see outside the bubble we are all caught within to see the world and its energy. To me thats enlightement , to become nothing and find everything, I think the quote above is a excellant example Cant remember if it was Tao or Buddhism or both but some proverb says "End Thinking and End you Problems, and for me without the daily hassles of caring about trivial unimportant issuies constantly muled over in the old nogin I feel more free more open and more accepting in life and with more energy from not caring i can do what i want with my time to follow what I want to do without having to justify it, so to me thats my sense of enlightement my ultimate freedom from the oppression of my on thoughts.
  5. We need to remember where we come from, the land, nature, and for me the dreamtime. WHy we are here? it seems to me the only reason we are here in society is to push this civilsiation ever further into what man thinks he is acheiving as the ultimate pursiut to be like a god. My ancestors beleived in taking care if this beautiful land that cares for us and living everyday as it was on there first day,THrew my spirit I can score a glimpse at what my ancestors lived for and what i see is harmony and complete accpetance for our place connected and not seperate in this world. If there's anything to believe in look for example at the native americans who believed in the treasure's of inner knowledge compared to the illusion's of western cultures monetary rewards. Easily viewed from movies like blueberry and deadman. I think that as long as a person follows this principle truthfully everday in there lives they will find truth from illusion. telepathy

A good expample is the recent departure of my ex-partner and how it affected me when she left.We had a very special bond, particularly in a very profound telepathic way and for many years...but how it all ended didn't make sense and left me devastated. Dang I find this very similiar to what happened to me accept it happened 5 years ago and took me like 8 months to talk to her again very uncomftable since we went to the same school and in the same classes but definetelly a strong conection that I cannot forget and makes all other relationaships but a comparison to that, dang luv can be a bitch. and yes dmt seems to posess at times a telepathic vibe aswell, watching people smoking spice can one make having the sensation without having had anything... Definetly agree I also get the vibe sometimes after consuming and proceding to smoke grass that it is almost the same as dmt, or atleast the comedown euphria associated with dmt.

    telepathy

I dont know if you would dub this telepathic but when your having a conversation and your sorta just feeding of each others thoughts like you would think one thing and not voice it and the other person starts talking about the very thing your thinking about, But i suppose you could call this collective unconcious from Jung. Its the only telepathic experience I can defintelly relate to and be able to constantly demonstrate over and over in any situation. Maybe this is connected to self reflection and we can all pick up others thoughts if we stood outside our own self reflection like Don Juan taught?

The Ocean of Knowledge Have you gotten familiar with the ocean of intuitive knowledge of the essence and forms of pure original suchness? If you have not gotten familiar with it, how about the green mountains here before your eyes-- do you see them? If you see them, how do you see? If you say you don't see, how can the green mountains be called invisible? Do you understand? It is simply that your ocean of intuitive knowledge of the essence and forms of pure original suchness is equipped with seeing and hearing. If you understand, it is simply as such; if you don't understand, it is still simply as such. Hsuan-sha (ninth to tenth century)

    Spiritual Insights and the path

Been reading this book " Teachings of Zen" and thought i might post some sayings that caught my eye Free Flowing All things are free flowing, untrammeled --- what bondage is there, what entanglement? You create your own difficulty and ease therein. The mind source pervades the ten directions with one continuity; those of the most excellent faculties understand naturally. Tzu-hu (800-880) Independence There is no other task but to know your own original face. This is called independence; the spirit is clear and free. If you say there is some particular doctrine or patriarchy, you'll be totally cheated. Just look into your heart; there is a trancendental clarity. Just have no greed and no dependency and you will immediately attain certainty. Yen-t'ou (828-887) I think this sums up the thread title Natural To speak of practicing the path is an expression of encouragement, a term of inducement; there has never been any doctrine to give people, just transmission of various expedient techniques. These are for expressing the essential idea, to get people to know their own minds. Ultimately there is no doctrine to get, no path to practice. therefore it is said, "The path of enlightenment is natural." Lung-ya (834-920) The Great Task As long as you have not accomplished the great task and are not in communion with the bloodline of the source, you must avoid memorizing sayings and living in conceptual consciousness. Has it not been said, "Concepts act as robbers, consciousness becomes waves"? Everyone has been swept away and drowned. There is no freedom in that. If you have not mastered the great task, nothing compares to stopping, in the sense of quite cessation, the purifying and quieting of the body and mind. At all times avoid dwelling obsessively on things, and it will be easy to unveil this. Ku-shan (d.ca. 940) What is Disturbing You What is disturbing you and making you uneasy is that there are things outside and mind inside. therefore even when the ordinary and the holy are one reality, there still remains a barrier of view. So it is said that as long as views remain you are ordinary; when feelings are forgotten you're a buddha. I advise you , don't seek reality, just stop views. Fa-yen (885-958) The Normal Mind Tung-shan was asked, "The normal mind is the way; what is the normal mind?" He replied, "Not picking things up along the road." tung-shen Shou-ch'u (ca.910/15-990/95) I was going to add the last one The Ocean of Knowledge but thought it better belonged in 'The Koan' thread just for a bit of diversity and to emphasize the importance in clarity in may give. Cheers.

    Have you found Jesus?

A little in doubt there for a while but thank God there he was. Now just hope the Pro active Creationist Literal Christians dont commit terrorist acts upon you for posting this torsten
  12. Jesus! gave me goosebumps, awesome post WS never thought of Dr King as a shaman but now that you mention it his speeches do have a tracending feeling to them trully inspirational.I Like the whole fact that I look around and see the world so unsure of itself and then in my own shamanic manner i see my own death and my own endelss path and are left to simply larf at such pointless uncertainties in this trully beautiful world. funny concept I think ? the more energy or spirit you feel the more real you feel, does anyone else think this also? I like the Don Juan interpretation that we are all possesed by dark/evil entities/spirits that turned the tide on our good nature and eventually manipulated us into our current state, (if thats even what Dont Juan said?.. so uncertain of myself larf)... but yea the whole concept of being possesed seems to make sense to me im always doing things i dont consiously want to do or think and yet are propelled into thinking or doing it. All i can really be sure of is there is a large differance between the tribal and the civilised maybe the structure in which they lived? suppose can only speculate at a simple level theres a whole complex psychological factor linked to it, but the differance IMO is quantity of reality over quality of reality... yea that adequatelly desribes what im trying to convey awesome stuff El Duderino

That is to say we where ever sane in the first place How far do you look back to define sanity? Do you look at the general populace and define that as sanity becasue if you do then all your defining is the sanity of a sheep only aware of the blind dedication of following the sheep infront and feeling pride and authority of being infront of the sheep behind. We are the explorers who have overcome our fear of rejection and denial at the hands of the favoured and beloved, the peaceful warriors who search to find what little sanity is trully left in this world so that to the greater quest we can find the peace and harmorny that pushes us on this journey... or atleast thats my opinion. Insanity is the destruction by domination of our free will and of nature at the hands of but mere selfish children who would squander the spirit with the laughter of there own ignorance. Right on brother can i get an Amen The carrots surelly have Consiousness Preach it Hallalooya I think that adequetlly sums up spirituallty Cant help but feel this post is a bit aggresive but had to vent my anger after reading "The Hopi surival kit" which pretty much tells how civilisation and its assumption of superior intelligence threw its own ignorance destroyed such a proud and respectful people trully sadening.
