No boom sticks please, I don't find the sound or their presence relaxing. Feel free to bring a boomerang tho they sound awesome and get the blood going when they come back. Defs bring the camp oven or thou shall be banished into the dark forest where it is said the Yowie roams. Speaking of Yowies do you think there are ginger ones hehe.

Dandelion foraging in oz...any pointers?
Justin Credible replied to gtarman's question in Plant Identification (non-cactus)
Really cool ya learning how to forage, but yeah becareful when using common names, try to use the binomial names for id and research. He are 2 links I used when doing weeds at tafe. https://www.daf.qld.gov.au/plants/weeds-pest-animals-ants/weeds/a-z-listing-of-weeds http://www.environment.gov.au/biodiversity/invasive/weeds/ -
How do you feel about advertising?
Justin Credible replied to Torsten's topic in Site & Forum Matters
Not sure how many give aways or sales happen on the forum each year but maybe could make a $1 donation to SAB for every give away you receive and $1 for every sale you make. Would probs have to work on a honesty system but believe the bulk of people here would do the right thing. At the end of the day all give aways on this site are a bargain at $1 and only a small amount for advertising/making a sale. These give aways and sales at times miight(i really don't know) potentialy decrease SAB sales as we trade in items that one might otherwise purchase from SAB so why not give back. -
Hey guys I am trying to find info of an old post in regards to an aya death. The info I am after is something Torsten said of how 1 in 5 people suffer from some disease that closes there mouth or something that can result in death when using aya. Any help would be appreciated as I am in hospital and would love to get tested for it before I decide to have a defibrillator installed. I have tried using the search but am not that great at it and am currently struggling to even use a pc.

Recommended books, resource links etc for introductory in Horticulture
Justin Credible posted a topic in Chill Space
I have just started my cert II in horticulture and would love to hear other peoples suggestions for their must have books and recommendations for any other books, sites, learning tools etc that you found useful. So far I have found the internet to be very unreliable in terms of correct information so am hoping for some more reliable resources. So far I have purchased * Weeds of Southern Qld 3rd Edition - The Weed Society of Qld publication * Plant Protection 1,2,3&4 3rd edition - Author: Kerruish & Unger I have also been looking at "A gardeners Latin - The language of plants explained" by Richard Bird and similar books. Any one else read this or similar books and found it useful either immediately or further into their pursuit of knowledge. Just like to add a quick thanks to Torsten & the team at SAB for labeling scientific names on the plants I have ordered over the years and also the members here for using the scientific names. This has helped familiarize myself with a few Genus and many Species names which has contributed greatly to the foundation of my learning and made the latin part not so overwhelming all of a sudden. I'm starting to hear the same words over and over and once I get my head around the plant anatomy I can really see stuff flowing. Anyways back on topic..what ya got for me- 20 replies
