Pleurotus eryngii growlog

Would pleurotus pulmonarius grow in casuarina trees? because there was this casuarina tree not far from our place which appeared to have oyster mushrooms of some species growing on it. They looked alot like pulmonarius. They were large and white but by the time i got to them they were starting to break down and were kinda getting sloppy. They had a kinda spicy/sour taste raw but pleasant none the less. I didn't swallow any, because i wasn't sure what they were at the time. This was in autumn, i went back there the otherday but no sign of them. Hope they will fruit again next year.

they very well might.

i have seen a thing about that looks osyteresque but def isnt like what i have already

i cloned it and its uber fast! on agar

the fruits are huge and smell great but are a little leathery

everything looks like pulmonarius - excpet the prints

which are salmon coloured

a mystery so far

i really wouldn be suprised if it was a local form within one of the tropical complexes like P djamor

if they are in that tree now then the money says they will be back for several years

looking forward to the email gerbil

its a good idea

at up to and exceeding 100% biological efficiency from raw materials people often give away, and in fast turnover - shrooms beat many other cottage industries
