spiders
I hope some of you have had a chance to have a quick look at the Bluemeanie Mycology site. I would appreciate some feedback on the site - if you have any and will try and sort through the contributions when i can.Hopefully we will be deleting ps.cyanescens and replacing it with info on Ps.Semilanceata.And as for that picture....Torsten? gerbil
Don't have alot of knowledge in this area, but i did find it quite helpful.Good info you've got there. If your looking for things to add to the site, how about some pictures of certain species, that show various physical differences? Would be handy for ID too.And possibly techs. for printing etc? Cultivation of edibles?Good work BM and Tort [ 07. Rev
im pretty sure the cultivation of edibles will be covered well enough by funky fungusprinting might be useful - especially tailored towards field techniques vs domestichow about some info on amanita and gyms? Thelema
great site!i think it would be good to have a geographical "oz" map showing the (known, of course) growing areas of natives.furthermore, it would be good to have a whole section devoted to native oz fungi, maybe comparative pics etc. from different regions in australia of the same subgenuses. ganesh
Looks great BM! Lots of good info and much needed... looking forward to seeing the info. on semilanceata as well (I'm thinking of making a trek up the ranges to have a hunt for some)...Maybe some pictures of spore prints for each species would be good, and also some more geographical info (a map would be great)... and also some info on what times of the year they all come out...Keep up the great work! spiders
The map is a good idea and there will be some limited info on Gyms - although the info on these native gyms is a little limited. I did bioassay them over the weekend and they are quite nice - after you get past the discusting taste and chewy chunkiness. The regional photos of the natives is also a good idea - although the photos from WA, TAS, SA and VIC are all pretty similar, there are some interesting pics coming out of NSW - especially those by Ruskifile from Sydney. trixxy3
how about a picture comparison between younger and older mushrooms of the same species and how long they take to grow i.e. dissapear within a day, week of fruiting?
spiders
sicne they are pretty much the same in terms of fruit cycle and those issues, im not sure i can fit that.Ive just sent Torsten an update that links all the subaeruginosa variants together as the one entity with the exception of tasmaniana. Darklight
Lovely site BM, very concise and informative. Can you put up a glossary or somesuch for ppl such as myself who are completely clueless about the polysyllabic taxonomic data?Or even a link to one?
