ZooL
I have a large garden (an acre or so) with many many types of plants, there are a few grassy areas i want to fully illuminate for activities at night, but i don't want to mess with any of the surrounding or internal plants too much (cycles and such). What are some good bulbs and spectrums i should look for to fully near daylight these ares but not have the nearby plants think "oh shit it's summer now" if the lights are on all night in winter. saguaro
There will always be some trade-off if you're growing photomorphogenic/periodic plants near a light source, so it's a minmax problem. Ideally you'd want to limit blue and red spectra. The best option would be something like a white LED with lower red and blue spectral peaks.
