Ed Dunkel Posted November 25, 2003 I do keep them on the low side regarding watering but the picture may lie a bit, they don't need more water. In the picture they were just coming out of winter dormancy but are now boosting away, I have given them a little more water than usual now that they are growing. I should take another picture. Agamemnon Posted November 30, 2003 yeah, watch that watering. I watered my hoodia seedlings nearly every day and they were really putting on some fat. Then one morning I checked them and two had fallen over. Looked as though they had been clean cut at the base, which was ringed with brown. the roots had just rotted away. they are in small terracota pots which appeared to dry out completely every day. Anyway watering the surviving three only twice a week now.
gomaos Posted December 2, 2003 Okay. I have 3 hoodia seedlings here sitting by my kitchen window, where there is no direct sun but some light. I'd like to move them into my shade house, but it's raining at the moment. I had one before, put it outside into part shade, then we had one good rain and a few days later it was rotten. I planted the present hoodias 3 days ago but haven't watered them yet. Should I just move them into a slightly sunnier spot, and when should I water them. I know how to treat pachanois, but not hoodias. And they don't come cheap.

Agamemnon Posted December 7, 2003 Gomaos, my hoodia are under a tree which has filtered light for most of the day. They get probably 3 hours of direct sunlight. Planted the seeds in late september, and are nearly one inch (25mm) tall. Ill post a pic of them once I figure out how to!
chief23 Posted December 7, 2003 If any of you guys truly want to lose weight, try going vegan. This is a great way to lose weight and help the environment. Basically you can eat as much as you want and still lose weight (All you can eat diet). http://www.vegsource.com/weight_loss/ http://www.vegsource.com/articles/boyan_en...environment.htm http://www.vegan.com/vegandownload.php http://www.milksucks.com/index2.html http://www.rense.com/general26/milk.htm Chief
gomaos Posted December 8, 2003 It's true, I was a vegatatrian (not vegan) around 1986-88 and was about 40 kilo slimmer... I lived on a North-NSW Community and the mindspace was there, and it was pretty easy to be vegetarian. I was also off alcohol. But with my present lifestyle I just can't get into the right mind space (city-life, looking after children, being single, most friends are "mainstream", having a couple bottles of wine every 3 days etc). I lack the right motivation. Why this is so I don't know. I just think hoodia is the right thing for me...
