Rusting Trich's

Recommended Posts

It appears that several of my Trich's are developing what appears to be an organic rust, plants are still, healthy however it appears to be spreading. It is a kind of tan coloured growth with reddish tinges closer to the unaffected new seasons growth. If anyone has encountered and cured any advice would be fantastic. Also to make fellow cactophiles druel with envy, just purchased 3, 3yr old Loph's for $2 each, could not believe my luck!!!

My Trich has turned tan and reddish on one side but that's from sunburn.

So.. where did you get the loph's?

Get a red pen and put a tiny dot on a piece of paper. Thats pretty much how they look.

From what's been described it sounds like you are over-fertilising your cactii with nitrogen ... just a guess - any pics so we can be a little more accurate?
