Macrogonus, Macrogona or Peruvianus

Last I checked, both T. peruvianus and T. pachanoi were (officially) considered subspecies of T. macrogonus.

Isn't "macrogona" simply the plural form of "macrogonus" -- essentially one and the same classification?

Thankyou, as I wondered wear Marcrogona came from.
